  1. I wish we got more feed back from devs or community relations people about the concerns voiced on these forums, it seems to me that there is a lack of communication between the gaming community in this game and the dev's. I would like to maybe see a road map for the next 6 months of what they are working on and plan on adding, not asking for much i would think.
  2. Please let me craft my own upgrades to my ship.
  3. I think a mix of both would work really nice, a theme park type story line for a little direction and single player action mixed with a large sandbox enviroment for open world PVP and other highly social aspects like player cities, player run vendors, and make crafting relevant for a player run economy.
  4. If SWG spent 300 million to develope like they did for SWTOR SWG would have been the best MMO ever because they would have released a working game with a story line. For the 300 million they spent on this game i have to wonder what they spent all that money on, there is no depth in this game so what were all the resources spent on?? SWG had more potential than any other MMO to come out since if they had the cash to fully develope it, it might have changed the way MMO's are designed but alas we are stuck with WoW clones every where now, no original thought or concept edsign anymore and it still cost them 300 million. What a waste of cash, but i still hold out hope that they can somehow improve this game but i dought it.
  5. This game isn't finished which it should have been before release, im paying monthly and still waiting for the legacy system to work which should have been functional at release. Whether or not its new doesnt matter if it isnt a finished product.
  6. The planets are stagnent because they want people with low end PC to be able to run this game, if they add life to the planets then they wont be able to have people with low spec PC's playing the game because all those animations are extreme resource hogs, look at the low population lvls on servers, BW like it like that so the game can run smoothly. Now i am not ok with the way they developed this game and i think that they should cator to people with at least mid range pc's not people with low end pc's but its all about how much money they can grab before they move to a free to play platform because they will not be able to continue to charge people monthly for a game that is not truely a MMO. This game was a good test bed for what a really good story and voice acting can do in an MMO but it fails at every other aspect of an MMO. So, I think the worlds are static because of hardware limitations and design flaws.
  7. I have to agree that the crafting is the worst ive played in a MMO IMO, its so bad that i dont even bother lvling crafting or gathering anymore, its completely pointless.
  8. no, but if SWG was still pre NGE and was more finished with an actual story then i would rather go SWG but thats not reality so no.
  9. I guess the true question is does MMO mean that grouping to attain max lvl is manditory or optional and im sure that question will never have a definitive answer because its based on POV.
  10. I was just reading a review of SWTOR in Game Informer magazine march edition were the writer who reviewed this game called it the best single player MMO he has ever played. Now I believe that the term single player MMO is an oximoron at best, the terms contradict them selves. My question is did BW try to build a single player game with multiplayer aspects to it and try to market it as a MMO or did they try to build an MMO which turned out to feel more like a single player game? It really is sad that a major gaming publication would label SWTOR a single player game basicly since single player and MMO are two completly different game designs. Or is this a new category in the gaming industry which I will label as an MSOG. Feel free to discuss.
  11. Ya its sad they ruined that game but it is what it is and i just wish game developers would use what they did right in the game and incorperate into a new MMO but they just want to replicate WoW, oh well what can we do, just hope that one day SWG2 will be made and done right.
  12. Changed up my wording. Your'e right I shouldn't speak for everyone. Alot of people left and it's a shame the game was ruined as a result. I forget that there are some people who stuck with it no matter what. Personally it wasn't worth it for me but I do understand that not everyone felt as I do. I apologize. Glad to see some people on these boards still have respect for others opinions, glad you clearified.
