  1. We're talking about HIB, not FA or MV. HIB is very instant.
  2. And that's what sucks most about it; those hard fought almost dead-even matches always go to the Imperials because of this. It.s B.S..
  3. Are you talking about the scout armor? Like, the sets with the kama and funny shoulder spike things? If so the TT-16A set is off Belsalvis (that's where I picked up the helmet) and the blue/white set is actually crafted. It's a mid-20s moddable set called "Outcast" that is just helmet, chest, and greaves. You need to procure the schematics for them manually through the GTN or crew skills missions.
  4. Without a combat log it's impossible to tell if stuff that stacks is additive or multiplicative, unfortunately.
  5. HIB sounds like a really wet fart. Honestly, I hate it. The original sound for it in beta was a billion times better than the ziploc-full-of-wet-noodles-flying-out-of-a-nerf-gun sound we currently have.
  6. You can craft the helmet, chest, and greaves; the schematics are available. Like many sets some pieces simply don't exist in-game anymore (they did in beta though). This particular set does not include boots and gloves.
  7. When you lose 0-5 and your last damage tick was just a hair behind the enemy's. In that instance I should have won 5-0 instead of lost 0-5. I don't care about your advice, this is a bug, I want it fixed. Stop defending bugs, Biodrone.
  8. It's still bugged. It still ticks twice as soon as it's captured by Imperials. I have lost WZs because of this. Fix it already. A lot of us are getting tired of your Imperial fetish.
  9. Not only will I "settle" for the opposite of what you just posted but I would immensely prefer it. All the VO in the world doesn't make the ground combat new and fun, doesn't make the gear itemization anything but a lazy grind, doesn't make the joke of space game a total black eye for Bioware, the UI, the craptacular PvP world of Ilum, boring mirrored classes where the translation from the first class to the second is so transparent and piss poor (i.e. it's painfully obvious that Bounty Hunter came before Trooper and that Trooper is a second-class translation), and on, and on, and on. Bioware should have spent a lot more time on their actual game than paying people to speak into a microphone. The game shows players in every facet the absolute neglect and haste of development while Bioware was focusing on 8 mediocre quest chains.
  10. They are indeed orange moddables which are random drops. Good luck.
  11. No, it's not. STO beat them to the punch. And GW before that with the heroes.
  12. I went Renegon and the story still wasn't very good. The overall contextual arc was okay but the executions of the missions were very poorly done. Not once was I given the opportunity to fast-rope out of a LAAT. Whiskey-tango-foxtrot? I'm SF for crying out loud. All of my missions should start with an insertion provided by a supporting element. They should have totally HALO dropped me into at least 1 or 2 mission areas. Whomever the quest designer was for our stuff should have played Republic Commando before s/he began.
  13. Used to be Dorne but since getting to max level I pretty much exclusively run Jorgan and he's an absolute beast when geared out well. He can crit for over 3k.
  14. The 50% armor is more useful than people think. It's still effective versus the Knights/Warriors and Troopers/BHs for many of their attacks. In fact, it's particularly useful against Commandos/Mercenaries as so many of their attacks are weapon attacks. It's only Inquisitors and Agents that can get through armor with the bulk of their attacks so the extra armor is more helpful than people are willing to give it credit for. And Guard is indispensable in PvP as far as I am concerned; there's no other ability which can absolutely turn the tide and make a close game into a domination. Whether you're popping it on a Hutball carrier to help get'em to the goal or throwing it up on a healer during Voidstar defense it can and will make a huge difference. And to be frank, the DoT from Plasma Cell even when fully specced isn't impressive. Not that Ion Cell's energy proc is impressive either but then again no one in their right mind would roll Ion Cell because of that proc or every really care about it (particularly since it's broken right now anyways). All you need to make Ion Cell perfect is the 1 point talent in Shield Spec which grants the snare proc but even without it the cell is awesome. Obviously as someone already mentioned the threat increase in PvE situations can be troublesome for dangerous encounters but if you're soloing it doesn't matter and Ion Cell is good enough on it's own to turn a DPS build into a capable tank. I do it all of the time for my guild and the only that makes true tanks better is a smidgeon of armor and their shielding _ absorption. Well, it works fine in Shield Spec since the tree actually supports it and I would imagine it would work fine in Tactics as well since Tactics only has two skills outside of Blaster Augs which buff High Energy Cell (which is why HEC is weak-sauce). Or when you say "the other 2 specs" do you mean Tactics and Assault? Because I've actually been talking about Assault this entire time. I'm an Assault Vanguard that runs Ion Cell and the gain from it so incredible that the only instance where I turn it off is group situations where I'm not tanking and the content can actually be difficult. Then, and only then, will I turn Plasma Cell on.
  15. If 1.2 drops before the next cycle then maybe. If they're going to push it past the 20th or whatever then no.
  16. The MMO genre is like the Battle of Midway: we're just waiting for an aircraft carrier to prove itself while all of the dinosaurs still mistakenly believe it's the battleship that dominates the sea. I'm waiting for that aircraft carrier which will once and for all kill the WoW model of game so I don't have to put up with awful and boring regurgitations of the same game anymore. At any rate, to the OP: TOR has done nothing to advance the genre. In fact, if anything it's set the genre back though it's inevitable decline in subs past the six month mark will all but prove that the era of the WoW-clone is officially dead.
  17. 50% more armor; 5% global damage reduction; and Guard. You're only forced to waste three skillpoints on Sweltering Heat; everything else in Assault will benefit you (and with Incendiary Round Plasma Cell's DoT is irrelevant). Frankly, I don't see the logic in running Plasma Cell as an Assault Vanguard. Ion Cell is amazing out of the box unlike the other two cells.
  18. It's sad that MMOers today actually believe this. This dude can't thing of any types of content besides flashpoints, operations, and quests. LOL, just lol....
  19. Commandos are just healers so obviously Vanguard does more damage. lol
  20. Vader became the second-in-command of a galaxy spanning empire for decades. I'd consider that a "gain".
  21. 1) Bug fixes are not "content", lol; and 2) No one's asking for more boring and uninspired flashpoints/operations/quests.
  22. If it makes you feel more fuzzy use Army Rangers or Green Berets then. I'm a Cavalry (Army) guy anyways so I guess I'd prefer it. You think ER round is an interrupt? Do you run into a lot of trash mobs channeling abilities or something? But yeah, ER does need to be better. Like Full Auto it was an ability that was very quickly removed from my hotbar since its damage is terrible, the ammo cost is insane, and no talents make it better. Sounds like it needs improvement, no?
