I think we have enough abilities to regain ammo fast if we make a mistake. i dont think we really need 1 additional ammo every 15 sec. but i think the skill should do either more damage for a 15s cooldown ability or increase threat or some new and actually usefull. Top Tier Abilities should feel significant / relevant maybe iconic, Energy Blast at the moment just feels "meh"...
  2. Theory-crafting! You never can fully apply statistics to real game occurence. This is not about a simulated environment. Just comparing Numbers wil never help you in the event itself. In addition there is not so much room to change Stats on the Rakata gear. Taking reduced damage is fine. But Taking no damage at all will always be better. You may say Shielding is nice because of the ammo-proc. And i agree on that. But there is no reason to let defense behind. Even if your defense roll fails, your shieldroll can also fail. And then all your absorb is worth nothing. Encounter at the Moment arent that hard. And i honestly dont think that min/maxing is needed. Wearing just whatever Columi / Rakata gear you get will do the job. Maybe this will change with next content, and when we have fully acces to a combat log showing at least what happend around our chars.
  3. Defense is Stronger then Shield, because getting no damage is always better than take less damage. We maybe have Ammo gain vom Shielding but that only help when we have low ammo, or if we Shield. And if the Enemy uses an Attack that is Shieldable in the Firstplace Shield and Absorb are easier to get since we get alot when Talentet.

As for a skill that you only use here an then because of cooldowns and situational use, i could deal a lot more damage, or at least as the ultimate on the tanking tree have a considerable amount of added threat on it? i see balance issues with other trees if you change more common skills so Eneregy Blast is the best Skil that can be motified to improve as a Tank.
  5. Totally Given up on it, there is no use in every time beeing ganged by imperials. I wish they would move crates to north and south , too so player could split up a bit Every time i try it, there are at least two to three imperials so its impossible.... even if i group with guild mates or random, we have suporiority maybe for 5 minutes until, imp form up a group at least twice in size then ours, moslty even more...
  6. I have no issues on those two Bounty Hunters. Both have somes attacks that will be pointet on the group. I am Totally Fine with it. The only Encoutner were i have problems with threat is Soa. Normaly is was only the first phase and i was fine withit because this phase i not very long, but since 2 weeks i have encountert threat problems on phase 2 and phase 3.
  7. This is Rediculous. The correct way to fix it should be to generaly remove the heal from that item, since it was only needed to obtain the magenta crystal. Now you always have go back to Tatooine and Hoth once you fail to retrive the crytal on illum. Stealthers can still use that item to heal themselves in Stealth, which was the main Problem at all. Only difference is now that they just do it once every warzone. But once is already to much. Thats proof how short-sightend the developers are.

  9. The Point in dual spec is ,besides getting away from the respec costs, that you are able to switch on the fly. Making your gameplay much more comfortable. It dont have to be 5 roles like in rift, although i liked this feature very much, but they had much more availbale skill tree. It would be sufficant to have at least 2 Roles, so i can have my Tanking Pve Role/Quickbar settings and my PvP Role/Quickbar Settings. it just Annoying to look over those things every single time when i choose to pvp or doing Operation/Flashpoints. Besidea, Dual-Specc isn't a feature anymore, its a standard nowadays, same for resizeable UI.

  11. I can only say, that i like Iron Fist very Much. Also thanks to the video, gave me much insight on how to play better. Mainly i play with guild mates, have some dps and healers aside. I used to play defensive because i am also Tank, also i made the mistake to get a lot of tanking pvp gear and am now slowly converting it to damage gear. I think Iron Fist is good for situational and tactical gameplay. =)
  12. I recommend you put your guard on the melee dps in your proxemity. Healers generate less threat then DD Start the Fight with Harpoon. Its the Only Skill that generates additional Threat, according to the tooltip. Afterwards Storm in, pop your crit'cd, Ionpulse, Shockstrike, HiB is a good way to generate aggro. Tell your Company to wait a bit before they join in the fight. Often DD's use their damage Cooldown an the start of fight, thats why you cant hold aggro, dont argue on that, just taunt back and you should be fine. Give your DD something to do, let them first focus on weak or Strong NPC's meanwhile you tank Elite and Higher.
  13. Thats right, but so far i know in the end every single damage dealer comes up with higher crit chances then your shield chance. So your shieldchance will be pulled of the table more likey, leaving all your stats of absorb to be useless.
  14. But thats just a problem with your own attitude towards the progression of others. (and maybe with the rest of the mindless pro-gress slaves See i do hardmode 8' and eventually with my guild i do nightmare 8' depends on how the seven others do in the course of time I am fine with that, and honestly i done see any difference in me doing nightmare 8' or nightmare 16'. There is no reason why i should feel less skilled only because i do 8'. Its not a matter of skill, its just a matter of available players or personal playstyle, hence i see no reason in giving better rewars for those who have more players available. And in the ladder of Progession so far what counts is "who did it first" not "who gets this or that item in reward of doing things". Its just stupid that the majority of players try to mimic the behaviour of those elitist. And by the way doing things with with 'less' people is always the hardest way because you cannot compensate failure as much as with more player in general. Tend to play 8' and only care for 8' progession as a community and give a crap about elitist play 16' soon enough those elitist will play 8', too. Just stop whorshiping those guys
