  1. I just realized there is a typo in there: DG kinetic proc relic *Kinetic proc uses tech crit chance while internal proc uses force crit chance should be: DG kinetic proc relic *Kinetic proc uses tech crit chance while energy proc uses force crit chance
  2. If you upload one of your operation logs to torparse you will probably see ticks of full auto and hib are missing occasionally. Accuracy shares with surge and alacrity and your going to be way into DR on surge so there is really no reason to not get your accuracy to 100%.
  3. I think it was your post that made me decide to try it with the shield so thank you for that. It was driving me crazy, I was watching videos of people completing the mission and they were doing nothing that I wasn't doing.
  4. I noted something similar when I started doing the new missions, the first mission I tried was new cov ice field and one of the objectives is to destroy the satellite hardpoint. I had all the grade 7 gear except for the deflector shield. I tried this mission for hours and I simply could not do enough damage to the hard point to actually destroy it. Later on that week I purchased the grade 7 shield and went back to the mission, had a really sloppy run and destroyed the hardpoint on the first try. This could be a placebo but it I'm very skeptical. If you look at the grade 6 shield it buffs blaster damage, and I think that missile damage is based on blaster base damage in some way. I suspect that perhaps the grade 7 increases blaster damage as well but it is not listed, therefore my missiles did more damage which is why I was able to destroy the hardpoint so easily. I have no real proof but if your having trouble killing stuff you might try replacing your shield.
  5. Seems like a pretty high price to pay for that 30% pen on one ability, you need 12 points in assault for that and 3 of them are totally wasted. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for at least 1 new ability in each tree. **EDIT Looks like we don't need to worry about it. Here's a quote from the dev tracker: As part of the new content, every skill tree will be expanding and you can expect significant updates. Players will earn a new skill point with each level, and new skills will be available in each skill tree. Additionally, a new active ability will be introduced for each Advanced Class. We'll have more details about many aspects of Rise of the Hutt Cartel as we approach launch, so keep your eyes on the website and dev tracker!
  6. I don't see what we can really do besides max out the two alacrity skills and then put 2 points in parallectic stims, and you got one more point to put wherever. Not terribly interesting. The two points spent in alacrity should increase your dps a little bit, I think the effect on ammo regen is minimal.
  7. That only applies to the rakata items, normal things will be bind on equip so you can trade it with people.
  8. What level is the quest recommended for? I can tell you for sure that you don't need to change your spec, or use a healer. I played the entire campaign as dps with 4X as my companion and it was fine, and that was before we even had an interrupt. Are you using your mez to start the harder encounters? concussive round I think, it's puts a guy to sleep for 60 seconds. Also make sure you or your companion does not wake him up, I turned off all aoe abilities on 4X. Kill the weakest targets first, remember that sticky grenade and full auto both will stun a weak target. I usually throw the sticky at one guy and full auto another so they cannot do damage to me during that time. Use your knockback on melee enemies, every bit of time they spend not damaging you is going to help. Keep in mind your heroic moment ability resets the cooldown on cryo grenade as well as heals you over time. Use your shield and adrenaline rush, they make a big difference.
  9. You can see the bis relics in the first post, kinetic proc and power activation.
  10. There is no tooltip that explains it, it started to surface while people were testing the DG proc relics vs the wh pvp relic. There is no real rhyme or reason as to why it's that way, but it is. There is a thread in the ops forum and I know there is one in the commando forum as well.
  11. My guess is people had lots of fleet comms built up and were not spending them. So they just purchased the parts off the vendor and listed them for some quick credits. I think people are quick to blame the cartel market when it's too early to tell if it's going to be an issue or not.
  12. Prices are already way up from what they were yesterday, still not covering the materials but getting close. I really don't think the majority of these items are coming from the cartel market. Aren't they bound to your character for a couple for a couple days before you can list them on the gtn? Because the lowest prices I've seen were on patch day.
  13. Maybe they could just do it with gear going forward, just like the cybertech and artifice end game stuff only applies to mods in black hole level gear and up. Perhaps it's just too much work to make two items for every piece of gear, but it would sure make those crafting skills more attractive.
  14. Perhaps, if people are just trying to generate credits from the cartel market then are the ship parts the best CC to credit ratio? I don't personally know as I have never looked into that. I would imagine the price is at more risk from space botters, they will be able to generate fleet comms pretty quickly and then just buy the piece from the vendor and post it on the gtn.
  15. I think it would be nice if they let armormech and synthweaving RE any armor for a chance to learn an orange shell, including the cartel market stuff.
  16. Give it time to cool down, the parts are getting sold on the gtn right now for insane prices. I bought a full set last night at 150k per piece. Once the rush dies down the prices will be more reasonable and then the parts will probably be profitable. There are plenty of people who will not purchase things from the cartel market and instead spend credits on the gtn.
  17. So buy them off the gtn. If you spend most of your time raiding then you can sell stabilizers. Then just purchase whatever you want, most of the cartel armor is not terribly expensive.
  18. You can use either one, they both count as a primary stat and provide the same benefits. I just use a mix of whatever's clever.
  19. It's a minor issue really, basically the droid companions previously were all tanks so the gear is tank gear. There are custom droid parts in cybertech but if I remember you'll be in your 30s by the time you can get a full set to put proper dps mods in. I think an easy fix would be to set the level requirement on his orange shells to 1 but still put level 50 mods in it, that way you can at least put dps mods in while your leveling if you choose to. In the meantime using the tank gear for the lower levels is not a huge deal, it's just irksome.
  20. I'm not against this idea in any way but I'm curious, what do people actually plan on using a guild capital ship for? It sounds like it would just be a smaller, emptier fleet.
  21. Yeah your right, I forgot what the thread was originally about for a minute.
  22. Once you complete the quest on a 50, your alts from the same faction can choose to just unlock him for 1 million credits or some cartel coins. So you can have him at low level, I bought him first thing on my new alt at level 1.
  23. That's true, I now have two sets of gear he cannot wear.
  24. This is the main problem, he needs to come with level 1 orange shells so you can at least gear him yourself. I unlocked him at level 1 and he was outclassed as soon as I got my first real companion.
  25. Each companion has their own bonuses, and those bonuses apply only to them. The ship droid by default has no bonuses; However; You can fix that. There is a repair droid vendor you can purchase for your ship through legacy (or you can visit someone elses ship who has the droid). The repair droid sells a variety of sensors that each carry two crafting bonuses on them, you equip the sensor to your ship droid and he will have those crafting bonuses.
