  1. same issue here, can't move, can't do anything
  2. Exactly the post I wanted to make so I'm just going to support this one! :-) I would, however, extend this wish to other planets as well as I believe there is a lot of wasted potential. Some of the planets that are already in SWTOR could be expanded, it's not like we don't have enough planets out there anyway. I think it shouldn't be too difficult to toss in a few new open areas, maybe add some daily quests for killing/gathering, using macrobinoculars/seeker droids, possibly even some rare mount schematic drop? Voss would seem like an ideal place for digging relics (this idea is already realised in some of the questlines). Getting back to a planet we already know and exploring new areas only makes the planet more complex and likeable, in my opinion. Having multiple planets with one tiny open area (or none at all) doesn't really make it feel like a 'planet' whatsoever. It's something to think about as it could make it easier for Devs to simply use the same models and slightly alter them rather than always come up with new planets, new names, and very little replayability because there is simply no reason to return to these planets. I was excited about Darvannis's open area only to discover that it's pointless to go back there - a couple of daily quests and that place could be teeming with players nuking either Skytroopers or each other. for instance: Odessen: a beautiful planet with zero out-of-storyline exploration, a forest-like open area with some silly daily quests would do it justice Manaan: remember the original KotOR, underwater lab exploration was spooky and a great fun, a Czerka-like daily area related to a 'Lab accident' would be welcome among players, I'm sure of it
  3. Maaaan...get over yourself, for your own sake You and a few other people apparently give way more than two s**** about it as you keep going on and on and on, repeating the same thing over and over again. I mean I get it, you're frustrated. I would be too if I'd poured that much time into it. But this really doesn't do you any justice. There are two ways of dealing with it: 1) Take it like a man, injustice has always been and will continue being part of this world (this isn't by far the worst display of it). 2) Cry about how others are mean to you. Where you want to belong is entirely up to you, of course. I feel sorry for you, believe me. You probably deserved to win.
  4. Guild: Twin Suns Squadron Faction: Republic Server: The Red Eclipse We are far from hardcore, but we have been progressing NiM content somehow. Currently 6/7 S&V, 3/4 EC - those have been our focus so far. Whether you add us to the list is solely up to you. Cheers and have a nice day!
  5. @Hedgehog Yet another person using the sweeping generalization. Do you even know what passive aggressive means? I can't quite tell from your post. I'm fine with the way things are. Just want to be sure it's safe. I don't usually get involved in these forum discussion, and the amount of people who get out of their way to design theories why I 'clog the forums' certainly give me a clear message why that is the right thing to do. No hard feelings, have a nice day, I mean it :-)
  6. No one is comparing this to any of the previous issues. I whave never been banned. I never said I was lazy grabbing those nodes myself. And lastly, no one here is labeling anyone. So relax, please.
  7. @slappywhite What is not civil about my post? The fact that I censored the word exp***t? And to the other people jumping at the opportunity to assume I might be a b*tthurt complainer. One of my toons is a slicer and I would like to know if I can carry on slicing those nodes for profit without getting banned in the future. So thanks for not raging at me for no reason.
  8. So, here's the deal. There are plenty of posts talking about it already, I'm just going to ask you straight. Is slicing working as intended? I'm talking about the amount of lockboxes you get from nodes (and the amount of credits those contain). Because right now, I can't seem to find any official statement from you, BioWare. You know, just curious before you come at the community for e************* something and start handing out bans. With this one, common sense is not enough to tell whether it's alright or across the line (yes, I'm talking about Yavin). Thank you in advance.
  9. This is what always gets me going. I won't comment on the points listed as some of them are just your personal view - which is totally ok. But it is awfully convenient to be negatively critical and disregard any possible comment that argues with what *you believe* beforehand by saying "let the fanboys troll". Some people even make fair points that just make your opinions (presented as facts) look..um..made up. So, are they trolls? I don't think so. On the other hand, there are so many trolls on these forums that I can see where you're coming from. No hard feelings, enjoy your time off SWTOR.
  10. I find it very amusing how, all of a sudden, everybody becomes a linguist and criticizes "the wording". It was clear to me and, apparently, a whole bunch of other people. Heck, I even told one of my friends that subscribing the day before Early Access wouldn't let him in on October 20. He was shocked as some other people here seem to be. This is what happens when people assume instead of thinking. Asking them to grant you Early Access now because of your own mistakes, mainly to cure your frustration, is just selfish and only makes you look bad. Cut it and take the opportunity to do something else. If they made an exception now, next time everybody would yell again "but you budged last time, why can't you now" etc.
  11. I mean we still measure mitigation in %. Shouldn't we rather take every single hard mode boss fight into account, look at the *actual* DtPS, subtract the effective HPS and go from there? List the % mitigated by the tank on each boss, what was mitigated completely, what was shielded? Shadows can Resilience through some nasty sh*t which may *hugely* affect the results (Titan's grenade, Operation Chief's terminate etc.) and so will CDs of other tanks. That would reflect the reality far more than just average numbers and it would also help new people way more than just theory. Which btw doesn't really help when Thrasher hits you for 14k three times in a row because you were unlucky (oh yes that spikiness, Kitru, huh..)
  12. Curious about this as well. What you suggest for Shadow tanks, dipstik, is giving up 198 Willpower and 162 Endurance for 108 mitigation. Considering that we are already around 2,3-2,4k mitigation budget, would you still dump *so* much threat and HP? I mean I am not able to give a solid % of additional mitigation you achieve with 108 mitigation at this DR, but according to your formula, you gain 11.664 hps with the additional 162 Endurance (and the number will be even slightly higher when including the talents + buffs percentage). Btw, is Battle Readiness included in that self-healing formula? I would appreciate the mitigation % achieved at the 2.3k budget when dumping 162 Endurance for 108 mitigation. Threat loss is simply there.
  13. I believe the current content does not require this swapping for each individual boss so I personally stick with mitigation all the way. I mean it might sometimes be slightly better to have higher HP (for certain fights) but it still wouldn't be the decisive point.
  14. I am not talking about taking HP over mitigation, god forbid. I am talking about the self-healing gain (self-heals scale with the % of our total hp). Since it is treated as mitigation, my question was, if the extra self-healing gained while using Endurance heavy mods gives more mitigation than the extra defense/absorb gained while using mitigation heavy mods. Most of the time, those numbers will be pretty much the same imo. But as Kitru said, it probably cannot be tracked to the level where we could firmly confirm either of those being the ultimately better choice. So my reason to ask in the first place was whether someone has tried to measure the significance of these two ways of modding.
  15. I wasn't asking about enhancements, that's a no-brainer. I'm rather interested if even the 2>1 trade is truly giving more final mitigation. As stated above, Dipstik says it's not worth. KBN said it is but I'm not aware of any research done. 'Good enough trade' is not convincing and judging by the self-heal attained when checking logs, I'm not entirely sure that 2>1 trade is really worth it. I'm not talking about other tanks, hence why I'm posting this in the Consular: Shadow section. Thanks for your reply hak, but it is quite irrelevant
  16. I have a question. There have several mentions regarding trading Endurance for mitigation. I remember KBN mentioning 31/72 mods offering 2>1 trade are a good choice. However, Dipstik in his post says that only at 2.5>1 trade Endurance becomes worth. Is there any testing done on this subject or are all of those claims just raw assumptions? Thanks all for taking time to reply.
  17. So after all, it would come down to the way healers are performing, healing. Will try it then and see the results.
  18. And once again, I disagree. Your healers will never feel the impact of self-healing relic, will never heal you less -> the relic is a waste of mitigation. Numbers won't tell you, healers will. Could I, for once, see any real log? All I get, all the time, is just patterns and graphs. Again, no real numbers, just theory. Don't get me wrong, I admire your dedication to number analyzing - it is very helpful in general. But it's not always just average numbers (which I believe you do realize). I don't. Show me the boss fight log of Shadow Wrap contributing significantly and I will accept all the love you are giving it. Not until then though.
  19. Okay, so now self-healing is not 'that' important and small percentage can be sacrificed. I will quote that once the discussion about the impact of healing relic (25 hps the last time) comes up again. I want to see numbers on a boss fight with the significant dps increase using Shadow Wrap. Until that point, this statement doesn't mean much to me. So for instance on Titan, you're an offtank and are supposed to gather adds. I can spend more time dpsing the boss, then rush to them with Force Speed. When they die or are handled enough, I have FS back in 15 rather than 20 seconds so can get to the boss quicker and dps him again. Is that not appreciable? There are many other occasions like this one where the lower cd helps you cut some travel time - but of course, that's not included in number crunching and thus treated as a 'waste'. Again, want to see the appreciable dps increase using Shadow Wrap/Strike. The exact same answer applies to the impactful dps increase achieved with Shadow Wrap: There are fundamental issues in your group with the dps
  20. Hey Ru'rik btw I'm so looking forward to seeing people worship the heal proc relic again while saying Expertise should be taken instead of Mental Fortitude.
  21. As a tank, all Alacrity should be swapped out immediately. It is far from being worth taking instead of either mitigation stat or even Accuracy. Force regeneration is not an issue in 2.0 as long as you are tanking (something is attacking you back) so the recovery granted by Alacrity is worthless. And to have GCD lowered by 0,01 seconds while giving up, for instance, 2% Shield or Absorption..I don't think that needs any further comments.
  22. Everybody has gone quiet since once again, theory based on assumptions from PTS without any hard evidence became irrelevant. The reality is different and calculations are yet to be done. To tell you from the 7-day experience though, threat is NOT an issue and if it is for anyone, they are doing something wrong. So talents such as Expertise, Shadow Wrap or Force Synergy are waste of points. I'm currently sitting at 37k hp stimmed while trying to min/max my gear without dropping Endurance too much (it seems to have certainly higher value than pre 2.0 because of current DR). I'm eagerly waiting for *Kitru* to give some explanation why to pick threat boosting talents instead of Mental Fortitude given that he was praising the healing relic pre 2.0.
