  1. OK returning player here, just this week. Planned on taking my two 50 pvpers to the new max level...playing pvp. However what I am reading here seems to indicate that they both might as well be naked right now, because it seems I am royally screwed. So what should be my plan of attack? Am I going to have to pve? How does that work with no gear decent gear? This is an honest question because I dont want to go gimping up in WZs because I have nothing worth equipping because my gear is trash now. I started a new character to wait until I can figure out what to do in the meantime, but I really am not all the interested in scrapping my other two. So my question is what is my plan of attack as a newly returned pvp player to get back into competing? Is it hopeless?
  2. I want to be able to build player made bases on Ilum under guild flags and have GvG fighting over these bases for area and resources like the game Shadowbane.
  3. I didnt bother finishing your thread, but wouldn't it be vastly more productive to tackle these issues individually in separate threads?
  4. I don't see any legacy components in your suggestion.
  5. Thanks for this. I am leveling a jugg right now with almost the exact same plan/build.
  6. Please step away from the tinfoil hat sir!
  7. I dont care I just want this to happen yesterday. I am finding plenty to do, but last night was the first time in about a week that the 50 WZ popped and popped more then once.
  8. This pretty much sums it up nicely. The only real reason people are complaining about this is because they have a need in their life to complain about everything. The complaints here are grossly invalid. The idea is to have more outlets for information and not less. Since they saw it on twitter first, or heard about it some other site, they complain. The problem is that the information is easier to find and output on some forms of communication and harder on others. Spread it out to as many sources as possible to have the largest audience.
  9. The characters are bad. The animations are incredibly bad. The ui and control's are ridiculously bad. The combat is horribly boring and bad. The amount of back and forth running you have to do due to the quest limit is bad. The graphics are boring and uninspired. The skill system is interesting at first, but then you figure everything is the damn same...build resource, release resource. And the "no level" thing is ******** since their is simply one pass over each spoke in one direction. So your progression will always be a no desiccation other then which spoke you put points into this time. Mixing and matching skills is somewhat fun(your deck build)....but does not make up for all the bad. The quests are interesting and thought provoking....that's not bad. Everything that I forgot to mention is also just bad.
  10. What an absolutely fantastic idea! OK not really but everyone is being so negative I thought I would play devils advocate and be positive. But yeah that is ridiculous.
  11. Sorry but TSW aint stealing any subs from anywhere. The game is a steaming pile of crap. There have been three betas that I have felt like total crap about. The first was a game set in Rome where you did nothing but move rocks and logs from one place to the other (they called it realism). It never was released AFAIK. The second was APB, and we all know what that was. The third was TSW. I would rate the Rome one total bottom of the barrel, but even APB was better the TSW. The game sucks.
  12. Nostalgia is a powerful thing. That is why it sold 3.6 mil copies right out of the gate. I played the hell out of d1 and d2 as well back in the day. D3 is really no different but gaming has really evolved since the hayday of d2. Honestly I dont think D3 will stay very populated for long when the nostalgia wears off.
  13. That is all real positive and I really hope you are right and they keep a steady dev cycle going to improve and grow the game. However my mind keeps snapping back to WAR. This feels exactly like how they did WAR. Yeah I played it and it got better over time albeit at a slow snails pace. But it was just a slow death and it felt like one. I think the Reid thing makes me the most worried. Yeah his job will be replaced, but that is the scary part. I remember in WAR the went through many downsizes of their community relations manager and team. Towards the end I remember getting an email from the CRM, a housewife from Wisconsin I believe, talking about getting a few interns in and wanted to know what I might like to see in the game..... Anyways I am trying to stay positive, but honestly it is real hard right now.
  14. Concerned? Nope, I am terrified. I went through this with WAR and it was horrible. This feels exactly the same. And with EA's track record with MMO's and how they handle them.....the future is not real bright I am afraid.
