  1. Probably because those characters are alts of people who actually made 10 million credits.
  2. I'm sure it will be this week, it might just be because they updated the Cartel Market a while ago to update itself on its own without requiring a patch to implement new items/sales.
  3. Luke Skywalker. 3000 years before he existed.
  4. I think this article is a bit late. WoW lost over 2 million during Cata alone. It surged up to 11 million when MoP came out, and lost subs (Almost every game does) between patches (mainly because of players in the East) During the next patch, subs will go up a substantial amount again. Subs are seasonal, based on when raiding is in its prime.
  5. Without the "cash shop" this game would be dead. Without the "cash shop" millions of F2P accounts wouldn't have been created, leading to a surge in subscribers. What you describe as "laziness and greed" put this game back on its feet. Also, subscribers are put first, due to the fact that if you were to play the game as F2P, it would cost thousands upon thousands of dollars through cartel market purchases to even match what the subscriber gets a month. (Authorizations, unlocks, XP gains, rep gains, unlimited WZ/FP/OP access, etc)
  6. Anyone else seeing this under reputation? Reading the description, it seems like it's going to be the connection between the Bounty Brokers Association and the Cartel Market. No complaints here.
  7. Personally, I don't mind it. I've got a level 51 I've done it with, and I've killed multiple 55's on my own through bolster.
  8. Bolster is true. Also, they are going to continue with Chapter 4 eventually, I'm sure somebody somewhere is working on it. But right now, they have so much stuff going on, give them some time. Not everything can be done when you want it to be.
  9. I'm sorry if you expect to play a 200 million dollar MMO with all perks for free.
  10. I don't believe this is true, as I bought a Command Throne from the vendor and it was transferred into my collections. I bought it for all of my characters through the collections.
  11. I spent more than I ever have on Cartel packs yesterday. Item sales are still on track.
  12. This was meant to be a CC item from the start. It was put as a legacy unlock just so F2P players and those who may not have the money to purchase Treek, but still are valuable players and play a lot, can unlock him.
  13. This whole post is a blunt misrepresentation of the facts. First off, F2P was NOT always in the cards. The problems were caused when the game launched and Bioware/EA way overestimated how long it would take players to get to endgame (They figured 2-5 months, for most, compared to the hardcores who grinded it out in a week) As a result, there was a lack of content for the first few months. Obviously, Bioware/EA rethought their strategy, came back, and found a new way to make money so they could keep developing their game. (Really, if they were planning on going F2P from the start, why wait 6 months and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue loss to do so?) I also disagree with your claim that we're not getting any new/frequent/updated content. We get new content EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. Yes, it's true. Every month, we get new items on the cartel market, new ingame features, and new things to do. Now, every 2-3 months, a new patch drops, which introduces a couple of new flashpoints, dailies, and/or warzones. Now, a 2-3 month patch rate far exceeds that of WoW, EVE, or any other competing MMOs. Also, in response to the ridiculous claim that Bioware doesn't communicate with its players/care about its playerbase, most people playing the game and not raging on the forums will find that to be untrue. We get developer videos every month, we get in game support, we get Q/A on a regular basis, we also get Cantina Tours that travel around the country, giving players/supporters of the game a chance to talk to the devs, make suggestions, and hear what's going down at the HQ. In addition, the devs do listen to our suggestions. This can be seen both in the addition of the Cathar and the addition of the re-customization terminal, regardless of whether or not they make money from it (Seriously, if they have coders working on implementing new races/voice actors/artists, they need to get some pay-off) This has been one of the most enjoyable posts in my time on the forums to have written a response to. Next time, get your facts straight.
  14. I don't agree with any of this. But, anyways, by the time you get Treek, there'll be another comp on the cartel market. Have fun.
  15. They failed in the beginning because they WAY overestimated how long it would take for someone to get through the game (Spacebar?) sure, but F2P and the Cartel Market saved them. Point blank, WoW loses 1 Million + Subs at the end of patches, then they all come back. Same model for SWTOR.
  16. Personally, I would like to storm the Emperor's chamber with my companions and take his room overlooking Kaas City as my personal dwelling. One part will be a Jawa trading hub, another a Twi'lek dancing club, and then, finally, a home for me and my sandpeople servants.
  17. Great idea. Didn't Malgus die in the False Emperor, though?
  18. I mean, it may be an exploit, but it certainly doesn't seem like it since it is a quest item and is allowed to be put in a collection.
  19. Yes, but I tested it, and that's only per character. There's nothing stopping me from creating a whole bunch of characters, level them to the bare minimum, and get 200k creds in an instant.
  20. Since the item is on the cartel market, and since collections have been implemented, am I allowed to just get the cube on all my characters and spam credits? Was this intended? Just asking, seems a bit weird, but if it is, we're getting a payday.
  21. Because everyone who things that there's something good about the game is an OP.
  22. Too many commas. Also, if you were smart, you'd get the infection, and sell the DNA samples, for 15k each.
