  1. I'm a big fan of this game, but I have to agree with this statement. As a subscriber, I should not have to pay to unlock Cathar for new characters.
  2. I don't think subscribers should have to spend CCs on the new Cathar at character creation, for new toons. I also think subscribers should get at least one free customization for each character they currently have. Charging after that is fine with me. I was really looking forward to the Barbour Shop feature, but I'm not happy about subscribers being charged CCs for it. I'm a huge fan of this game and I've been a subscriber since the start. I was not against F2P, but this just irritates me. P.S. This comment is meant for any Bioware employee still reading this thread. I really don't care what the peanut gallery thinks. No offense, just saying.
  3. I haven't checked this out yet, so I'm just going by what has been said and the guides. Your companions can use the weapons. Also, if they are orange, you can take out the mods and use them in your weapon. Your last comment was just mean and uncalled for. Very nonconstructive and unnecessary IMHO.
  4. Thanks. My lowest level alt is 21. I was hoping to do it on my level 40 gunslinger.
  5. Two Question: 1. How long is this going on? I have to go out of town for 5 days. Will I miss this? 2. Do the missions scale with your level? Do I have to do these on my 50 or can I use a lower level alt?
  6. How long will this event last? I don't remember how long the last one did. I'm going to be out of town for several days on a family vacation. I have to pack tonight and may not be able to get on. I won't be back until next Tuesday. I hope I don't completely miss it.
  7. That pic was funny as hell.
  8. That pic was funny as hell.
  9. You guys realize Bioware doesn't listen to nerf threads right? All their balance decisions are made using their in-game metrics tools. All of you crying for nerfs or raging over the ppl crying for nerfs are wasting your time.
  10. Almost hard to choose. Full 3D space combat wins hands down though. I miss Jump to Light speed.
  11. I'm a Cybertech and I'd like to sell the speeders I make. Please remove the bound on pick-up, so I can do this. Thanks.
  12. Just for the record, I have been booted out of Warzones due to no fault of my own. That being said, it is annoying when people leave because they are losing.
  13. People who nerd rage without actually giving any constructive solutions don't get anything fixed, they get just ignored by the Devs.
  14. I've seen some very good and constructive feedback on the forums, but many times, they are drowned out by the whiners.
  15. Most of the time, the forums are nothing but a refuge for the bitter, negative, complainers. It gives the false impression, and reinforces the belief, that they are the majority when in fact they are not.
  16. The mistake here was making the base turrets too weak to repel the Imps which allowed them to camp the taxis and med center in mass. It's not Bioware's fault that a vast majority of players are rolling Imp. If you have a problem with the faction imbalance, then by all means please post some constructive solutions. PVP is only 1 aspect of this game. I'm sure there are a lot of PVE'ers who are not affected by this and could care less. To say that this mistake will lead to the failure of the game is alarmist and extreme in my opinion. Chicken Little comes to mind. I would like to see the faction imbalance addressed as I am Republic. I honestly don't have any great ideas right now and I'm willing to give Bioware time to sort it out because I enjoy the other aspects of this game as well (yes I'm on a PVP server). Too be honest, even though we were extremely outnumbered and the lag was unbearable, the patch accomplished one thing. A lot of PVP took place last night on Illium. More than I've ever seen. If not for the lag, it would have actually been fun even if we were losing big time. We did manage to push the Imps out of our base a few times and I managed to escape back to the fleet.
  17. Making a mistake does not = failure. If that were true, then everyone is a big fat failure. MMOs are never perfect. If you have a problem, by all means express it in a mature and constructive way. Threatening to quit and throwing buzz words around like FAIL will get you and this game no where. If you truly want this game to succeed, then grow up and be constructive. If you don't care about this game, then show some respect for the rest of us and just leave quietly and move on.
  18. ^This^ I'd love to pass the ball if there was someone to pass it too.
  19. So what's real about running up and down 90 degree cliffs, not being able to jump over or off anything, NPCs stuck in player houses,........
  20. I'm an SWG vet myself. I'm sorry for your loss, but it's time to move on.
  21. First of all I played pre-CU and I stayed a while past NGE. When I talk about SWG I refer to pre-CU and post NGE. Don't generalize. And not everyone left because of the NGE. The NGE came about because the game was already losing huge amounts of players. NGE was suppose to stop that and bring the players back. It obviously backfired. A lot of people left because of HOW the NGE was implemented and not because it WAS implemented. The fact is, players started leaving in big numbers after WOW and JTL were released. As much as I know you all want to, you can't blame it ALL on NGE (the greatest scapegoat ever). There were several factors. Even before Pre-CU, SWG was never better than SWTOR. If SWG wasn't Star Wars, many people, including myself, never would have stayed beyond a week or two. Some SWG vets need to take off the rose tented glasses. The community, and the IP, (and for me JTL) made the game playable despite it's many flaws. And the game engine was just horrid. Walking up and down 90 degree cliffs. NPCs stuck in all kinds of crazy places. That and lack of new space content was why I didn't go back. I didn't even go back to it's send off because I was in early access and TOR is way better.
  22. I played SWG for several years, from pre-publish 9 (pre-CU and Pre NGE) to about a year or so ago. I'd say overall that TOR is way more fun and engaging. The only real thing I miss from SWG is the space game (JTL). This is my dream Star Wars MMO come true.
  23. I was a little worried about playing the Guardian when I saw all the complaining during beta. I went with it anyway and I've been very happy with it. Is it perfect? No, but saying it severely sucks is complete nonsense. I'm lvl 38 BTW. P.S. I forgot to mention I'm tank speced with Guardian tank gear.
