  1. Mercs have nothing but tracer spam, and if a melee gets on top of them they are in serious trouble and more than likely dead. Besides, if you really want to be taken seriously you need to come up with options that don't completely obliterate the class in PvE like what was done to Operatives. To implement some of the suggestions you have made would pretty much gimp the class in PvE to the level that dps Operatives were nerfed to, near worthless.
  2. Yeah like some people here have said, you can't hit 50 and expect to do all that great right away. If you were smart and had 1k/1k comms, along with a pre-purchased bag, you should have 6 bags with which to get comms out of. That nets you about 2 pieces of centurion and 42 champion comms, not to mention if you're lucky and get an item inside a bag. Then just grind it out for a couple days and pick up a few more pieces, and it should be a lot more even. The other thing is, playing an Operative. It's the squishiest class there is, especially with no expertise. You rely on bursting people down, but against players with champion sets you won't be doing much dmg, on top of the mostly rediculous nerfs the Operative class has suffered. Not that I'll complain, as I still do amazing in PvP with my mostly champion geared Operative, but that's much more a testiment to player skill.
  3. Honestly I don't remember, I was too busy spamming throw to attempt to pass to my teammate. The problem is this was on my rakata/some pvp pieces (I don't pvp as much with this toon) assassin tank sitting at over 23.5k hps. I know for sure I was stunned the second time for around 4 seconds because I was sitting there being pounded on by 4-5 people for around that length a time, begging for a split second to pass. I was at full health too at the start of the second stun as I hadn't been hit with anything.
  4. My opinion is also that there were way too many stuns given out. Giving essentially every class a 4 second stun on a 1 minute cd was way overboard. Especially with the cc breaker being on a 2 minute cd. Not to mention the fact that resolve is broken and doesn't work half the time. I remember getting stunned over a fire pit while running the ball, knowing it would happen, so I popped my cc breaker and moved out of the pit ready to pass to my teammate on the line within a second of breaking the first stun, when suddenly I'm stunned again and ********ed by the other team. Some classes really do require these stuns, especially melee classes who need to keep enemies in range or locked down, but the ranged stuns at 30 meters certainly don't help. Lessening the ranged classes stuns to only 10 meters would probably help the stun spam a bit, that's just my thoughts.
  5. My Concealment spec Operative alt is my pvp character, and while I'm not BM just yet I still have full Champion that I use for the most expertise I can get. That is except for my 2 best pieces of Columi gear being my chest and boots. This is so that I can get the 2-piece bonus (+15% chance to crit with backstab). The 4-piece set bonuses for both is 5 more energy, which is garbage, but the 2-piece PvE gear bonus is a must for the burst damage class. Once I get BM I'll utilize the same setup, having 2-pieces of the best PvE gear slots that I have for the bonus, and the rest BM gear. I would wager that ultimately it depends upon the set bonuses that your PvE or PvP gear give for what you should use. Point being: The expertise lost from not using a full PvP set is negligible compared to the bonuses you can gain from some PvE sets.
  6. This is an accurate statement that isn't an opinion so much as it is a fact of the way things are now. I think most everyone, including ops/scound would agree our opener was maybe a tad bit too strong. The completely unfounded nerf was lower armor pen. We have mostly below average sustained dps, especially against heavy armor, and we have to maintain melee range while being able to drop behind the target for a backstab to even keep that dps up.
  7. So this changes the fact that there are now 14 people on a low level planet, and only 4 on a slightly higher level one?? What's logical is that the server could handle thousands more people, so post something relevant and stop trolling kthx!!
  8. So after switching to another feed..... This guy is with some guildies at level 25 and leveling on Nar Shadaa. It lists: 4 people online for this zone on the server.........
  9. For me it's not entitlement or anything of the sort. I preordered towards the end of September so I don't expect to get in until Thursday. With the 5 days access I was planning for the end of the 2nd day. The problem I have is they ended adding any more people at 12:30pm my time (PST)!!! There was NO reason to stop, and they didn't even get 15% of the total amount of preorders in. I'll state it again as an example: I'm watching a live stream right now from some people playing. It's about midnight my time (PST). There's 17 people on the planet of Balmorra. There aren't different shards of multiple Balmorras. Just 17 people total on the planet. 17............. There's no logical reason they couldn't have invited a lot more people. From speaking with guildies through the day who got in, the server was EMPTY!!

  14. I hope they add them in soon too. I was hoping to log on this morning, knowing I won't get in until at least tomorrow, and see some the server forums for who else we'll be playing with. Hopefully they activate them by launch, as maybe that's what they are waiting for.
