  1. Ok before I write this all up and make it look nice I wanted to know what you guys thought. We all know how legacy levels are useless after 25 at the moment. I was thinking about how to make them a bit more useful somewhat without going over board. Every 10 legacy levels you gain, you gain a 1% reduction in price on all legacy purchases. At legacy level 50 you gain another 10%. So at legacy level 50 you gain a 15% reduction in all legacy unlock costs. It's not a huge bonus but it is a nice reasonable reward for the time spent gaining those levels, plus it has no downside for those whom have not earned them yet. Just an idea. Let me know what ya think so I can rewrite this and pop it in the suggestions forums where it actually needs to be. (please keep it reasonable here guys)
  2. good thing lokin doesn't get those and only uses his heals when in human form.
  3. Honestly it'd be nice to have a few more females willing to jump in the sack. I don't romance mako she to me seems like a teenage girl and it's borderline pedo. But she is the ONLY female on the bounty hunters ship, so if your a male yer kinda hit.
  4. Hmmm well companions are fixed.... but still not the random crash to desktop, 14 of them yesterday alone.....
  5. Well as much as I highly doubt it, servers are going down tonight and we might see a fix...
  6. But here's the kicker this used to happen up until 1.2 some how they fixed it after 1.2. I have no clue when it comes to programing but they had it fixed before, well maybe not the leak itself but the game didn't crash randomly or as often as it is now. I have no idea the nightmare the programers are going through with all the "Get this out now!" and the "You need to fix this, but make this over here work as well!" or what have you. But I am sure those guys and gals started with hair and most I'd wager are balding or bald by now.
  7. If you feel I am right please feel free to post in here. I want Bioware to see this I want them to see that we as a playerbase are upset that they just ignore us. I don't need a post I want action I want to see that they are even able to listen and put into effect things to fix problems, not to usher in new ones. I know I am about to get alot of flak, but I want them to wait on the new pvp warzone and do a round or two or how ever many is needed to fix the problems they have out that have been around unfixed for so long. (ok pvp'ers flame me just keep in mind I am also bored of the stale warzones out now as well and am looking forward to the new zone too.)
  8. Well to be honest I typed this right after a game crash, so I was a bit peeved. I did try and take the time to go back through and re-read it. The earned part was kind of directed towards Bioware // EA. Meaning I worked hard for my cash, that could have been better spent elsewhere in some peoples eyes. But since I earned it, I spent it on what I thought was a sound investment. That earned statement was in no way directed towards anyone whom might have won or gained their money in another way.
  9. I run an ATI card. to be more specific: ATI radeon HD 3400 series. yes I know it is far from good, but it had worked just fine until 1.4
  10. Well I also have an older POS machine but I learned how to deal with it, turned all unneeded settings to low, or off in some cases. I get some lag when large groups of folks are around but that's to be expected. And to be truthful after 1.4 I've been running alot smoother and overall better except for the random crashes to desktop. The only work around I've found for this is to shut down the game before I do anything major, like op's or flashpoints. That usually makes it so I don't crash during those times ( usually not always). Most of the problems happen during quest turn in's or while loading a new planet // entering or leaving my ship. This problem was very noticeable after the rise of the rakghoul patch and it took them until 1.2 (legacy) patch to fix it. Thus here we are again same old problems.
  11. With 1.4 you guys introduced a major memory leak issue that seems to hit any 32 bit computer user quite badly. I was in high hopes that this week it might have been addressed... But after 6 random crashes to desktop I've learned that no you guys have once again over looked it, or totally ignored it. you have had MANY users submit bug reports and made a lenghty post on the customer support forums about this issue: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=550315 In fact the topic is sticky'ed!!! Seriously Bioware what gives? Is anything being done about this? I've been a sub since last December I've suffered through it all with all the rest of the player base, I've paid my dues and yet these types of problems still come up. Players have stopped using the test servers due to not being able to test with high level characters and due to things that are being reported not being fixed with the live patches. Just a question, Do you guys even care anymore? You give us craptastic patches filled with quite a few things not wanted or needed, but when problems, some of which are game breaking problems come up... you give us a new level 1 outfit.... I don't expect a response, nor do I really want the same old copy pasted answers that's given to ANY problem that arises. I just want a stable game that I can play, lord knows I've given you my hard EARNED cash, at least you can do is give me what I've paid for. Go ahead forum trolls flame away.
  12. First off there are 3 rankings int he game now, 1 subs, people who pay to play the game and pay for the right to ***** and moan about anything they see fit. 2 freemium's Folks who pay for things they want and have some restrictions removed also have limited voice about things they dislike. 3 froobs, folks who are leechs dont pay for jack dont plan on payin for jack just a waste of space on the servers. As far as I am concerned they should have more restrictions added to them like no chatting in gen chat at all, you wanna chat pay for it or sub, and should have a large F2P under their names so subs and freemiums can make sure to avoid em at all costs. is this harsh? maybe. But froobs are not doing one bit of good for anyone UNLESS they upgrade to freemium or sub status by investing into the game even somewhat, this shows they care at least one small bit about the game and it's direction. But since quite a few froobs are just leeching until the next big thing comes along they should be happy with anything given to them. You get what you pay for in my books. Now as I am sure it will come flame on yell at me i dont care These are my opinions and should be treated as such.
  13. Personally I'd rather them get rid of the whole sending mods and such to alts with legacy gear thing. None of my alts do it each earn their own gear. But thats my 2 cents since it looks and feels to much like cheating the system and I've been a legit gamer for far too long to change it now.
  14. Honestly Jeff I think you are being lied to by some of the forum admins. ALOT of bugs were found by users on the PTS many times. These bugs and how to recreate them were posted on the PTS forums and still those patches were pushed anyways. I gave up on testing on the PTS now since it does no good, I don't mind rerolling toons and levelign them to test things here and there, but when any comments i have get ignored? yea im over that. ((FYI this is NOT my tester account))
  15. and i ask this, how did 1.4 get past QA and go live like it did?
  16. MVP votes have no bearing on anything other than bragging rights. Earn at least 3 medals to earn rewards. Max medals for rewards is 8 anything over than that is basiclly overkill and // or a waste.
  17. You know the games that come to mind that were epic or fun or just downright silly fun were ALL made by companies that were founded by gamers for gamers Examples: BioWare BEFORE they sold to EA, Kotor 1 Mass Effect 1 Dragon Age, and Jade Empire. Blizzard before they sold out to who ever bought them, Warcraft Starcraft Diablo 1 and 2. Now granted there are alot more, but I think my point is clear, we need to fire the suits and such and get gamers to make the calls on what goes into games.
  18. Tiberian Sun was my last CC game. Loved it and even went so far as to buy renegade..Oh the horror....
  19. here's something they can do to encourage testers.... Listen to the reports we make the bugs we find that should be fixed prior to going to live. I was a tester during beta a number of times and have been on the PTR each time I can prior to the nice free names we get. I've submitted many bugs with how to reproduce them (if i was able to myself) and where they can be found what I was doing all that jazz. I'll keep at testing and putting the reports in, not for EA but for my fellow gamers on the live servers. Maybe someday , us testers will be listened to.
  20. Hey there, just to let ya know now, this is NOT a bash EA thread. ( although im sure it might turn into one soon) Look we know you guys love getting paid and love getting paid quickly. But lets look at some facts here, thus far other than your sports games (I don't play em so I can not comment) most of your games are well degrading recently. It seems to me as a consumer // customer that you guys are in the "hurry and rush it who cares if it's done we want it out now!!" frame of mind. This hurts games badly. it makes sure that the QA guys can NOT do their jobs effectively and thus gamers get mad and you guys get a poor rep from it. And you are not alone in these types of actions. Many high end game companies are doing the same. With the recent patch 1.4 this point is driven home a bit to far. So please EA and the CEO's who might (yea right) read this, STOP RUSHING PRODUCT BEFORE IT'S DUE TIME!!! Be the first big game company to stop, and think, Hmm if we rush it we will have to spend months fixing it, or give the consumers a bad product.... How can we fix this prior to getting all that bad rep? Oh I know test it, use the thousands of FREE testers at your fingertips! We are here and we would LOVE to help you guys improve the game!! for FREE even!! I understand you guys don't really care about gamers or your games I get it. BUT if you make good quality games that people love and enjoy, guess what? MORE INCOME!! Yep thats right I know personally i've told buds facebook buds and twitter follower buds to buy some games, and alot of them did, and loved them as well. Now think if 1 person could get lets say 4 more folks to buy said game, and they each got 4 more and so on and so forth... PROFITS OUT THE WAZU! So in short, EA stop and think before you "Push" for a patch to go live.. or "rush" an unfinished game onto the shelves. Yes it will make you some money... but will it keep customers happy enough to come back?
  21. So our opinions differ, doesn't bother me at all. I never once stated my word is law, nor do I have that intent. The op said he had not seen one person saying they liked the changes, I happen to really like the changes it is sad that you don't. As for pvp I see it being used quite effectively now and thats in the 1-49 bracket and the 50 rated and non-rated brackets. I dunno maybe all those people are just fools to think the skill is fun and useful now. And on a side note, I never once said I loved bioware. So please stop putting words into my mouth it kind of trashes your post entirely. ( I liked the old Bioware before they got bought out by the game killer known as EA aka Executive Arseholes. But this is MY opinion and should eb treated as such.)
  22. Running headfirst into a group and doin the "splody stuff" used to annoy the hell outa me as a tank. at least now they can aim it and don't feel the need to run in and blow up all the mobs i grouped up on purpose to better help the dps and my agro gain abilitys
  23. I don't call it a nerf since it made the skill better at least for me as a tank or dps or healer, than it was prior. I got so sick of watching groups with 1 or 2 users blasting mobs all around for the "cool" factor. Now it can be aimed and can be very useful to knock a select few or more than that into a more tightly packed group for both tank and dps'ers to agro // dps down. Like it or not, it is NOW the way the skill works, and it's doing alot better (imo) than it had before.
  24. Honestly I love the cone change with the inquisitor and sage. I love how i can ( as a tank or melee dps) run towards the mobs and push some of them back to the rest of a group. I love how i can ( as a caster dps) push mobs towards my tank and not blow everything thing to all hell. If you take the time to learn how to use the force wave and the sith counterpart it works alot better now. But I guess there is the problem it mean some folks will have to think before they use it now. (What a shame!!) As far as the stun, it still works where i need it to upclose and personal. And as far as the trooper and bountyhunters go, get over it really. ya got a interupt now, and a really nice self heal plus all the other goodies you've had long before, those classes are the best example of being able to adapt to any given situation. However I do dislike the random crashes to desktop and the influx of new lag thats poured in since 1.4
