  1. Only person I've had trouble finding is a healer, and not even that much trouble. My Sorcerer is a healer, Trooper a tank, and Knight a DPS. Also, it's tough trying to get rid of the "holy trinity". City of Heroes (and Guild Wars 2 TBA) has also tried this, but then it only boils down to steamrolling the instance with little to no effort because everyone is a jack-of-all-trades. Guild Wars 2 will probably end up being more facerolling because it's publisher (NCSoft, who insisted this mechanic) also developed City of Heroes. And we all know how that went. P.S., I know the difference between developer and publisher, but the publisher has much more sway in the development process than you think
  2. Oh wowie! Another overly-hyped MMORPG full of loaded promises that people will also probably be disappointed about! Seriously, after GW2 doesn't fulfill your every fantasy, then what will you be saying? Q: Will you continue to play Guild Wars 2? Your A: No. I'm waiting on [iNSERT "NEXT BIG THING" HERE]. [Link] is come cool info and links about [NBT]. Also Israel, if you don't like this game, why do you prowl the forums so much?
  3. It's already starting to get a little less suck I think. Not as many people Q_Quitting every day, and the latest news about the PvP additions and tweaks for combat that people have been wanting have alleviated most people's fear... for the time being, that is.
  4. If you give people a source to verify your claims, it makes it a lot easier for people to believe you.
  5. Said directly to you? Like in a live-chat? If you can dig up some sources to prove what you say, I think it'll put a lot of people at ease. There used to be hundreds of threads complaining about sharding, and I always had three articles I would link detailing how sharding was a temporary measure.
  6. Can't find a source for that quote anywhere?
  7. Yeah, I'm not feeling any of the negative effects myself. I'm by no means saying that nobody else does, but I think some people's hardware handles it better. It's probably poorly optimized for certain configurations at the moment.
  8. Bumping for my quest of knowledge.
  9. I think there's plenty of indication, seeing as how they've acknowledged a bulk of the combat responsiveness complaints and are sorting it out. It's not easy as flipping a switch and calling it a day. I'm confident that they wouldn't build an MMO on a shoddy engine they couldn't modify.
  10. At least they can be fixed. Only reason I'd be upset is if they'd used an engine they couldn't modify.
  11. As the title says, I'm curious as to how people rate threads.
  12. More like stop comparing a vanilla MMO to an older one. I don't know if people have noticed, but all MMOs have a vulnerable vanilla stage, and WoW was no exception.
  13. How is it not? If you look at sneak-peek stuff, it's clear they're addressing a large number of complaints people have been making.
  14. Invisible walls are currently in place so Republic & Empire don't gank lowbies in towns. It's a little frustrating, but I'll deal. Also, what does clearing the Eternity Vault have to do with freedom? What's the freedom in clearing Eternity Vault blah blah blah? The fact that you can?
  15. Wow, way to spoil that. Thanks. Also, I don't think you've looked at WoW lore recently. It's a Mary Sue fanfic riddled with pop-culture references. This is coming from someone who has read most of the Warcraft books and has been playing Warcraft games since Orcs & Humans.
  16. I used to think it was a sign of decline myself, until I noticed a few things. 1. Holidays are over. People are going back to work and school, so they won't be TORing all day long anymore. 2. It's possible BioWare has increased capacity. Even when my server is at standard, I'm finding 100+ people on most planets, never seeing anything below 70.
  17. Nothing I, or anyone for that matter, says will ever make an iota of difference to you. You're intent on bashing this game with hyperbolic argument after hyperbolic argument, and I accept this. ...doesn't make you any less wrong, however.
  18. You didn't look up the definition of hyperbole, did you?
  19. Sure, go online and bring up a map of Dun Morogh and compare it to Ord's map. Keep in mind the scale too. At this point, you're arguing for the sake of arguing, and no amount of fact or logic is going to change your mind.
  20. Orbital Stations exist because certain starter planets (or other planets) don't have individual docking bays. Also, the transition from station to ground is seamless.
  21. Ord Mantell is a starter zone, and it's easily the size of Dun Morogh, if not a little larger. Later planets are the size of 2+ WoW zones. C'mon man, there's a line between fact and fanboyism.
  22. Are you even looking at all of the other sources people have been posting that proves the OP's information is incorrect, or did you just read his post and decide to reply?
