  1. I have been planning to do that as well, a Nautolan Jedi Knight. ;-) or even a Sith Warrior. ;-)
  2. That is entirely debatable. You are assuming that everyone loves to do the same thing again and again and again and so on, i find that boring, dull and insanity inducing boredom. Story is the most important thing for me in any game, now sure, if you have a dedicated group to do flashpoints with, then sure it would be faster, but since i do not have that and not all people have that, then from my experience, doing story content is faster because its more interesting, while doing dungeon runs is boring and dull when its: 1: Do flashpoint, 2: Do flashpoint.......etc. I find that so boring, i even hate dailies, that is why i only did the dailies when i did the weeklies, i would prefer to do them once per week and get 14-24k cxp over doing the same dailies, day in and day out.....even though the cxp would be quite noticeably higher, but in a video game, fun is more important and repeating the same content everyday is just doing and the opposite of fun.....for me anyway. Its like, if i had all classes ready for the expansion, doing 1 class, then another of the same faction would bore me, this is why i take my time, i never rush, never skip anything, which is why alot of players kick me from groups, because i refuse to skip scenes. Though i do think Bioware should remove all story elements from group content entirely or make special solo versions of said content, which they have done for some of the Flashpoints.
  3. Well, the problem is, the leveling gear doesn't have an armoring anymore in 6.0, it didn't on the PTS. Therefore, you can't really use it until you get some mods to put in it........well, if you was starting a fresh character, currently, you get a hefty stat bonus, but in 6.0, you lose it, unless they changed that after i tested it on the PTS.
  4. Technically, double xp doesn't make us go through the content faster, it just makes us level up faster, in fact, having double xp or cxp or when the exp goes live, rxp, it would encourage me to do all the content. This is why, when the expansion goes live, i plan to use the leveling gear to level up the 5 levels as fast as possible to start getting rxp.
  5. I am sorry to hear of your experiences, the world is getting very chaotic and insane, where children are not taught to be responsible and respectful and adults openly talk about all manner of things in front of children, its just so insanely bad. I am not very sociable, i tend to avoid communication when possible and i tend not to group up for anything, since i play different games throughout the day, i do not play a single game all day long, i play a multitude of them throughout the day and that can tick people off, hence why i play solo and only group when it is needed at that particular time. I am fortunate to not have experienced what you have and i am honestly sorry that you have experienced it, but you shouldn't leave the game for that, i would suggest we play the game together, but as i said, i play several games throughout the day and i do not and never will take handouts from players and i certainly do not like being carried in content, i prefer to carry my own weight, so to speak. Overall, i also play for the story and that also ticks people off, that i don't space bar through the scenes....i just laugh to be honest.
  6. It can however be tedious and dull after the first few hundred times.
  7. I just wish double rewards actually meant double rewards....not double BASE rewards. Currently, if you take the double rewards (xp and cxp) event into account in this calculation it would be this: [75 + 75], [75 + 75], [75 + 7.5] = 232.5cxp this is calculation that the game uses right now, but doesn't say so in the tool-tips, it says it increases your cxp gain by 100% when using the cxp boost item and then that should be doubled during the event and then the legacy perk should increase that TOTAL by 10% like the following. [75 + 75 = 150], [150 + 150 = 300], [300 + 30 = 330] Either put in the tool-tips that it increases your BASE cxp/xp gained or change it so that it calculates by the total gained instead of base amount gained.
  8. I don't really consider the *double rewards event' actually double rewards, i mean, i have the 10% cxp legacy perk (which is stupidly overpriced for the bonus you get) so make that perk 25% minimum to 30% maximum, then it would be worth the current price tag. Anyway, the double rewards event doesn't increase the amount you get by 2x, just the base amount. So technically, if you don't use any legacy perks that increases cxp or xp or any xp or cxp boost items, you WILL get the full double rewards, but if you are using any xp or cxp boosting items or perks, you do not get the double rewards as it says. Make it give total amount and not base amount, what you are doing is misleading cause it is not double rewards.
  9. The issue with your idea, while very good, it just won't happen, this game is an mmo, any choices we make will be too big, its not like we can save the game and make the choice to see if its a good idea or not and if not, reload. We are stuck with it, just the reason why during the Beta, we could kill a companion at a certain point in a specific class story (veterans know which story i am on about and which companion i am on about) and it got everyone upset and complaining to get their companion back and so they removed it.......at the time, the companion was the classes' only healer....so you can see the problem....now-a-days, its not a problem since the companions are multi-role. Overall, big choices tend to have a big conseqence, especially if they do it right.....they failed loads of times to get a 'choices matter' type of thing, not even the ME trilogy got it right.
  10. The best solution to using a boost is to go through a scene similar to a conversation and it gives you choices of what you would have done in major quest choices and that would allow you to choose your alignment and so on, similar to how they did it with the Mass Effect Trilogy....well before they killed it with the crap ME3 ending.
  11. I personally love her, but i can respect anyone elses' opinion on her, but from experience the majority tends to win in these situations and when i comes to story driven content where choices come into play, it can get difficult to do an mmo with choices because they will have to make content for choices that we make, hence why they force certain companions to die. Its like, i would have preferred to have been leader of a powerful alliance that could choose sides, instead of going from a leader of a powerful alliance that could beat both republic and empire easily to being a follower........and the way they did it was lame and cheap, but i am guessing the majority of the playerbase prefer being a follower instead of a leader.
  12. Considering the fact that this bug happened to every single person that played the new story content, the in-house testers, even a single tester should have got the bug, assuming they didn't use a generic character boost, since that wouldn't really give you the issue.....so if they extensively tested the content, they must have used a generic boosted character and not a genuinely leveling character started from level 1.
  13. While you are correct that bugs will get past the testers, i am not denying that, but the problem that is keeping the servers offline is a bug that affected EVERYONE, just starting the new story content caused the bug, so if they indeed tested the story content in-house, they would have found the bug on the first day of testing the story content. They could have not seen the bug at all and a final touch could have caused it and therefore, even if we tested it wouldn't have prevented this delay, but the likely-hood of that is very remote to the point of the remote chance of it is so extremely unlikely to happen, that it makes me wonder if they even tested it in house at all. I pay for my subscription and even pay for cartel coins on a regular basis, so i think i have the right to complain about it.
  14. Well, i am guessing they didn't, because this fatal bug affected EVERYONE, so if they did internal testing, how did they not encounter it? cause they were not looking at it, just the content that people do together....nothing else.
  15. The point is, testing the story content would have discovered this bug a long time ago and would have been fixed and there would have been ZERO downtime beyond the normal downtime. That is the point i am making.
  16. It just feels like that they should have NOT done the KOTFE or KOTET and just went straight to 5.10 or just made someone else the Commander of the Alliance and therefore they wouldn't have the need to remove the overpowered fleet we had. I mean, its like going through the whole story trying to do something, only to have the last choice in the story to render that whole journey pointless...it just makes the game not worth playing, you know?
  17. All i am saying is, that for those that are on the PTS to TEST content, they should really put in the Story Content and then put up a NDA and you HAVE to sign it to get on the PTS and anything you post about the content will get your account banned forever.....it would have prevented this downtime, since it would have been discovered long before this day.....but the story content was the only content to NOT be tested....you seeing the point i am making?
  18. Imagine the outcry if the US downtime was during peak times.....the outcries, the hissy fits. lol
  19. Well, it would be easy to solve that, make each PTS testing phase have a NDA and if you violate that NDA, it will result in your account being banned forever.
  20. Yeah God Forbid them to do server down time during the US peak time....all hell would break loose. lol
  21. I agree, that it should be our own choices if we see the data-mined content or not before its on live, i am just saying, if the story content was active on the PTS, this major problem would have been discovered long ago and fixed before the release date of the patch. I personally haven't looked AT the data-mined info, like you, i prefer to play the game myself, but the problem is, the PTS didn't have the story content enabled and therefore couldn't be tested by us and therefore a major bug was not discovered, that is on them, they should have had the story content available on the PTS for players to test it. That is why i never even went on the PTS, no story content at all, just the boring crap that comes after the best part of this game...the repetitive daily crap and the group content, which i rarely do since grouping tends to be a bore in these games, since majority of the time, if you don't play how they DEMAND you to play, you get removed and blacklisted....so i lost interest in anything past story content, hence why i have no characters at 300 command rank...not enough story content to get it there. Hence why i honestly prefer a Kotor 3. lol but i know, will never happen.
  22. Everything about the story has been data-mined already and is available to all that wants to see it....so that excuse is really wrong.
  23. This is why they should have enabled the story, i mean the story is dataminded entirely anyway, so there is no point in keeping it disabled, it helps prevents problems just like this one.
  24. All you got to do to see the story is look at the datamining...so that reason you stated is flawed.
  25. No, the choices we made in previous story arcs were not being kept, it went to the default choice, as if you boosted a level 70 and didn't do the previous content.
