  1. I feel the same way about uniqueness of Operative. I just hope that any improvements they make doesn't detract from the flavor of the class.
  2. No re-rolling for me. I enjoy the class and despite the many reasons others provide as to why the class is or supposedly insufficient, I'm still having fun playing a class that feels different. Would I like all classes to be on equal footing? Sure. Does it bother me the class I enjoy playing may have some drawbacks. Sure. Can I advocate changes I think are necessary to balance the game. Sure. Do I think I've had enough time in a month to fully explore what the game will be like as an Operative? No. The bottom line is I'll try to squeeze every drop out of my Operative because I rather play an Operative than the other classes. If my class is perceived to be weak, it'll make it more enjoyable when I do well.
  3. I think the Twi'lek featured in one of the trailers is supposed to be an IA. Or, maybe we don't see them because our stealth detection isn't high enough.
  4. Also just wanted to throw out there that you can fight him off the platform. You will need to set your companion to passive, run back until he follows you, then re-engage. If I remember right, he will return to the platform afterwards and wait while you disable something. Then the fight resumes. Hope this helps. It's a pretty lame glitch.
  5. Only gives me one. It refreshes TA and gives you another one if you already have one on you.
  6. I like the idea of a melee heal. If I have to be close to the enemy anyway for some of my CC's, it would be great for an instant heal on an ally. However, from a PvP standpoint, do you think it would be easily countered with a pushback/snare/spell lock? Being locked out of Kolto Injection leaves you with Surgical Probe and if you don't happen to have anymore TAs at that moment, no chance of a Kolto Infusion either.
  7. Thanks Spifnar! That's a great information there.
  8. Good place to start is here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=53189 Scroll down a bit and he provides some varying builds. One good way to get feedback is to go ahead and make up a build you think will work and share with the community here. This way you'll have a better idea of what talents are linked to what abilities, in addition to giving others something to work with and provide feedback for.
  9. I’m giving you the obligatory “If you enjoy the class, then stick with it.” Considering you will spend a significant time playing this game, you should play what entertains you. Otherwise, you’re just paying to feel like a winner if you chose the flavor of the month.
  10. What class are you and what skill did you use to try and interrupt. Also, do you remember what spell icon above his head looked like when he was trying to cast a skill?
  11. Set your companion to passive, run back until Jadus is off the platform, then re-engage. It's definitely a lame glitch, but the above tactic worked for me.
  12. Shield probe and evasion will not keep you up if you are getting focused, but they help if you're trying to run away. Be sure to use line of sight tactics to try and get off a heal. A little of LOS dance does wonders. You have take into account that once you break LOS from an enemy, they have to move to get in sight of you. Keep this in mind by trying to use timely CC's to trap them behind a wall or pillar as you try to break LOS.
  13. What else would satisfy you? Would it be okay if Operatives can only kill you 1 out 5 times? What is it exactly that you think would make the game more fair so it's easier for you? If you were a little more clear instead of making a general statement with no details, you'd probably get better responses. What about your cc breaker, or your team mates? Why are you getting caught out alone? As a healing operative if I get taken out by a conc operative, it's usually because I'm out alone and not sticking lose to my team. Otherwise, I save my CC breaker, pop my shield and a health consumable, and run away while trying to hinder them it doesn't always 100% of the time, but it does work.
  14. Healing Operative here as well and finished the fight in one go. Just made sure to take Jadus off the platform by setting companion to passive, then re-engaging. Kept HoT's up on both of us, and in-between phases, healed back up. If you keep a close eye, you can tell what spell he's going to cast so just be sure to use the interrupts at the right time. For example, you could interrupt him right at the start of his cast sequence, or you could wait until he's almost cast it.
  15. I also try to cc any mobs to make it easier, in addition to dpsing their targets. When I've tried just sending a companion to to tank/dps solo, it doesn't really work. It's much easier if you take a proactive approach by using your available ccs. A interrupt or two can drastically change things.
