  1. Huh, I didn't know that! Thanks the for pointer. I never paid much attention to him, to be honest. I'll keep an ear out next time.
  2. Captain Bryn <3 only Welsh imperial I've found in game so far. I've found several Scottish- one on DK (in Grathan's compound, when you hack into computers to steal data) and on Balmorra. I think I've heard an Irish accent or two. As for the OP, they all fooled me to be honest, had no idea they weren't British. Although I was sure they put way more emphasis on the accent than was natural (suits the ego of these characters)
  3. PLEASE fix this Bioware. It may seem like such a small thing, but it's absolutely aggravating. Drives me up the wall, having to click off my companion. I mean sure, I love Xalek more than anything in SWTOR, but I don't want to be gawking at him 90% of the time. Also, while we're at it, please fix the goddamn lack of companion buffs. Before, once you summoned a companion (or dismounted) they would, without fail, be buffed after 1 second (unless you dismount into combat, where they get buffed after combat, annoyingly) Now? They don't get buffed unless you buff them.. and in conjunction with the first complaint- that means having to first click off your companion, THEN activate buffs, because for some ungodly reason you can't buff a companion directly. I know companions are OP, and having 4 buffs will make 0.01% difference to their output, but still... its damn annoying. Seeing Xalek at rank 50 in tank spec with 122,384 hp is quite something.
  4. Jadus has been mentioned in KOTFE by Valkorian, you even fight a voice-less elite NPC version of him in your dream-state (whereas my sith Outlanders fought Marr). Valkorian states how Jadus was the best sith his failed empire had ever produced, and even him I, a non-force user, managed to defeat. (I bowed and accepted Valk's help at every opportunity, so he loved this character. He also fought Jadus, instead of joining him or talking him down, so I wonder if Valk makes a comment about you having good taste in sith or something if you joined both, lol)
  5. Indeed. I made a ticket after I noticed. How strange..
  6. Were you on an inquisitor character? It's heavily starting to look like a class bug edit- same. Xalek was my favourite companion by far, and the one I was most looking forward to getting back. I am devastated lol
  7. Did the quest, and got achievement for Death before Dishonour, to recruit . I'm an inquisitor, he delighted in seeing me again. I I returned to the Voss woman, completed quest. Got the rewards. Got the achievement. She even congratulated me for brining him back. Yet, he's nowhere to be seen. Not in companion logs, not wandering about the stronghold. It's as if, instead of following me, as he said he did, and the Voss woman said he did.. he, well, didn't. Another inquisitor in my guild has had the same happen, yet a BH and a SW in my guild got him no problem... is this an inquisitor bug? or did he just get distracted and lost on the way to Odessen?
  8. Took me about 3 hours, and I've got top-notch internet. My patches always take forever to reorganise data (with each patch), and then gets stuck at about 93% (to be fair, about 80% of the waiting time is getting from 93-100)
  9. Won't lie, I also found the story a bit of a let-down, but only because of how much people talked about the 'twists' and 'reveals'. It's still my 2nd favourite storyline, but not for those reasons. It's just generally really interesting, playing Bond in Space. Being the ghost, being the regular guy that can take down a Sith or Jedi (whether in lore or anything this is possible, no idea. but it feels good in game.. sniping these super-powers into the ground) It felt like KOTOR always did for me.. the 'huge reveal' was never much of a twist or shock to me. It was all so obvious, and expected, I just assumed it wasn't mean to be a twist. Still, highly enjoyable though.
  10. This is true. At this time, we're re recruiting so many sith, including aliens. We need as many sith as possible to counter the Jedi it seems. So I guess if every sith had to murder their master, we'd be back to low numbers. And you're right, a lot of apprentices are extremely loyal to their masters. Except Xalek is seems lol. He's always telling me to watch my step, and that eventually he will become the master. but bless him, my lovely Kaleesh pet.
  11. But that make zero sense in that, Black Hole came out before Makeb, and that the intro to Black Hole quest, and talking to the general Konya on Corellia.. both mentions that we have lost the front, and are retreating. We were told by 2 people. We even say to the first NPC "well I hope the woman that lost Corellia has answers for me" (paraphrased) So... either our PC is just bad at remembering, or RotHC forgets this. Either way, we were told, before Makeb.
  12. Hey, I've been here since then as well! Well, from what you quoted, Marr mentions we had great victories. Doesn't imply that they are current, but they were great. We took and sacked Corellia from in front of the Republic's nose, that's pretty impressive even if it didn't last long. And yes, sith infighting definitely took it's toll. We're a husk of an empire by this point. Plus on Corellia, we took every last ounce of Hypermatter they had (I assume this is quite expensive, so gave our fleets a few months of free fuel ) and killed all the Green Jedi. So yes, I'd say the (temporary) victory on Corellia was glorious. And Ilum was ... meh, not exactly glorious or victorious. But we defeated a defector and his momentary empire. A point of pride and symbolic power for us I guess
  13. This is the main thing I'm hopeful for.. I mean, I keep my hopes low for expansions these days, but I have some hopes for KotFE.. and this is one of them.
  14. the Black Hole came out way before Rise of the Hutt Cartel. It was before even Section X etc. So definitely before Makeb. It happens around the time EC takes place, and you first meet Kephess
  15. To make things clearer: The Black Hole storyline takes place AFTER Chapter 3, after the end of the class storylines. It is essentially the Corellia: Bonus Series. As I said in my OP, the NPC that gives us the quests states that we are retreating from the Core Worlds. This takes place after the Republic retakes Corellia. We are a skeleton crew left behind to scorch the planet before we leave. As they say in the cutscenes "we'll leave the Republic with nothing but a world that can't sustain itself" (paraphrase). edit- she also states that Corellia is ALREADY burning, in her own words: we have sacked and burnt most of the planet. Also, when you start the Ilum questline, Malgus states when talking to the Moff that the 'victory' on Corellia cost us 1/10th of our forces, and that was hardly a sustainable rate of attrition. The Empire needs to change to survive (queue the original Marr)
  16. Hey folks, So after taking my 22nd character through Corellia and the Black Hole (most of them are Imperials, so i've probably missed a lot on Rep side about this issue), it's dawned on me that I don't actually know what happens. In the Black Hole, we're retreating Corellia and the Core Systems, ready for Makeb's foray to save the Empire. The idea of it, and as General Konya explains, we have already sacked and burned most of Corellia, and what we do in the Black Hole will relinquish the last Hypermatter from the Republic, destroy the infrastructure of the planet and leave it in ruins. It sounds pretty intense and extremely effective (kind of like what happens in Makeb; we leave the planet with Isotope-5, the Republic gains nothing but a world's worth of refugees). So are we successful? Is Corellia left in utter ruins thanks to us? Does the Republic feel the effects of this devastating loss of their founding world and largest ship factories (apart from Kuat)?
  17. Couldn't disagree more lol.. they have one singular power, and that alone is not 100% accurate, easy to misinterpret and manipulate, and if they can see the future.. why couldn't they see that the Star Cabal was infiltrating their ranks to subvert their entire power? Sorry, the Mystics see what ever they want to see. I could do without their pretty useless powers
  18. Haha, indeed. Although to put myself in his boots I can understand it He's extremely nearly a god, and once he is we will be bugs under his boot. I also love how he described it, how when he has that power, when he becomes a god, he will explore the Universe, visit and ignore galaxies and lifeforms and he sees fit. Nothing matters to him except what he wants to matter. Must be liberating
  19. Firstly, why would the Emperor care about even a huge fleet being lost? He's not just the Emperor, he's a mad emperor who doesn't give a single damn about the Empire. The entire 'invasion' of Voss, as said above, was a diversionary attack in order to get his hands on a Voss in order to implant himself into it. Secondly, again as said above, The Star Cabal was instrumental in the failure. Because of them, they infiltrated the Voss Mystics, and managed to completely divert their attention by giving them a fake prophecy no not make a decision about the Republic or Empire for.. however many months/years it was. Good job on their part. Made us completely waste our resources, time and effort for nothing. Thirdly, the Voss are hardly the most 'advanced' force users. They're not even good. They have 1 single power- the ability to 'see the future' or prophecy, which is at best partly useful, and at worst completely diversionary and easily misunderstood. And only a minuscule % of Voss have this power. The only reason the Sith are interested in them is to basically imprison some and get them to read the future, not that it'd do us any good because anyone who has ever read a fantasy novel that involves prophecy knows just how useless prophecy is. (looking at you, Terry Goodkind fellow fans)
  20. I agree that putting her out of her misery is probably the kindest option; you're not letting her get dissected by Lana, and you're not forcing her to stay alive with the knowledge of what she's done, and the voice of the emperor always in her head (as she said so herself). However in game terms, obviously those 2 options are DS/LS- dissecting an alive person for the chance, slight chance of finding something to use against Vitiate is morally bad, but possibly necessary (if nothing is found, and Vitiate wins, the entire galaxy dies anyway. but if something is found , well, she might just've saved every living soul at the cost of 1 badly damaged Jedi, who is our enemy anyway) whereas taking her back to Tython is obviously LS- there's a good chance they can block out the Emperor, and at least make her come to peace with what she did. I mean, she'd never be the same, but it's something. Whereas the last option is tricky. Yes, you're doing what she initially wants by killing her, but as said above- you miss out on the potential of some kind of cure against Vitiate, and a way to stop him, and you also don't give her the chance to quite probably get healed back to some sense of sanity by the Jedi. So really, out of the 2 options, I consider it the least helpful. (and it deserved the DS points because of the last point, she could be healed by Jedi but you don't give her the chance)
  21. I know this topic has been around for a long time, but frankly I have't seen much new information since 2012 on this topic! I'm levelling my third Inquisitor at the moment, and unlike my first 2, I'm going full dark side power/knowledge, taking all the ghosts against their will, and I will refuse to release them (unlike my other 2, who released all the ghosts except Horak, as promised). My first 2 also chose to save Khem Val instead of Zash, who as I remember gets locked inside a Mind Trap. But with KotFE coming, and with unusually high hopes regarding previous decisions and choices made making a big impact in the story (because let's be honest, there's only 1 story 'The Outlander'.. they better be putting a lot of effort into this stuff) I'm starting to think this decision RE Zash/Khem could play a big part in how the companion reacts to you during the expansion. Khem is badasz, respects you.. blah blah blah Zash is clever, manipulative, has storehouses of artefacts and knowledge (promised) to us, confided that she liked us and regretted trying to having to have us killed. If going with the knowledge is power route, Zash seems the best option by far.. I mean, we're busy.. we aint got time to be spending decades trawling through books and research, whereas we could just use Zash's knowledge and save ourselves some time (and again, let's be honest. Our Inquisitor isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Throughout the entire story, it's thanks to Zash that we find the ghosts and make a plan of attack on how to get to them) Plus, does anyone know how the Dashade 's honour thing works, the pact? Because Khem could never betray or attack us because of this bond, but with Zash in control of Khem's body, would this pact still be in effect? because if so, that's perfect. We have a thankful Zash who is willing to help us, and is also trapped inside a Dashade that can never attack us (so no worries of her killing us in our sleep) Plus, she said there's no point trying to switch to our body any more, we're too powerful and well known, it'd be too obvious. But then, Khem is an ultra loyal, force-eating Dashade who would happily rip apart a fellow Darth on my orders, and frankly (and is proven true) is more powerful than Zash anyway.. so really, it's just about Zash's knowledge vs Khem's utterly loyal super-powerful self. I swear this is the only decision in the entire game that I always struggle to make. As said before, this is my 3rd Inquisitor, and my previous 2 chose Khem, so out of lack of repetition I should chose Zash, just to see how it goes. and of course none of this might matter at all come Fallen Empire, but a man can dream. Anyways, thoughts?
  22. Lots of people love cats. And Lana seems like the type to have... lots of cats.
  23. If someone could help me, that'd be great. I love Talos Drellik's character; he's funny, quirky, enthusiastic, clever.. etc etc etc but story/lore-wise, I just can't take him with me while questing and exploring. I mean, he even says after combat: "I'm an archaeologist, not a fighter!" and on being summoned- "Is there a tomb you need me to explore?" So it seems even he prefers to remain on the ship until needed. (and as a tank, I don't like using healing companions, way too slow and boring) So if anyone could tell me any specific planets/quests he takes special comment in, that's be grand. Like, I've heard on Belsavis he reacts to things pretty strongly (with the Rakatan history etc). Any others? I'd love to bring him out for these moments, let him 'experience the world' without having to go through the combat But I just can't bare to have him with me the whole time, I much prefer having a DPS companion, but I don't want to miss out on any cool things he says. Bah this game.. so many options Edit- to be honest, scrap that. After taking so much damage consistently, in good gear and being over-leveled, I've remembered how pointless being a tank is at lower levels (pre flashpoint gear). Therefore, instead of switching specs which would make sense, I'm gonna just use Talos. Fed up of taking 50% hp of a weak/strong pack of mobs, again, as a tank, in good gear, over-leveled.
  24. Don't get me wrong, I love TESO, even more so now on the Xbox One (the PC version felt like a bad port lol) but.. that style of camera fits with that style of game, and even then, barely. On Xbox it works, but on the PC it was horrible. The ability to have a HUD, and be able to click and interact with it is 100% better. Being locked in to the camera is 'disgusting' to most of us, as you put it. Having to look at something and press the 'interact' button is is no way better than right clicking an NPC or object. And yes, I'd imagine it would take significant effort and/or resources to completely change everything to compensate for some horrible FPS version.
