  1. I just got my boots Finally after 13 hours, things are looking up. Got the boots and legs in quick succession.   2. Despite the knock-on effects it causes, it is supremely satisfying to behead the Supreme Chancellor. and the Sith don't stop kissing your arse afterwards.
  3. It has taken me 13 hours, almost non-stop grinding, but I FINALLY got my 2nd piece of armour- legs on Makeb, in the drilling area. Also, I love you for all this info. Please take everything I own.
  4. And on top of all this misery.. I've got a stalker.. who is following me around and stealing the main treasure before me. ('steal') if I see you in PvP area I'm going to rip your eyebrows off (jokes, but not really. I can't explain just how mad I am)
  5. Ahahahahha, on my VERY LAST scan before I decided to cut my losses and go to bed, I get the Dreadseed armour chestpiece.... I mean GREAT, I GOT SOMETHING!!! But really? the only singular piece I had already? :/
  6. What are you guys doing differently that I'm not??? Ever since you posted, I've been grinding the dig sites on Tatooine (heroic area, pvp area, dune sea area) and Alderaan (dam and warpost place) for like.... 10 hours straight. If not more. I took a 2 hour break to do Scum & Villainy. And came back to it. My eyes are BLEEEEDING from the Seeker probe.. And I've not found A. Single. Piece. Not one. (of the Dreadseed armour set) I've found a million and one tusks, and husks, and shells, and feathers, about one thousand green 28 mods/enhancements/hilts, and roughly 500 green/blue random armour pieces, and 2 techstaves. In Dune Sea , PvP area and Dam area of Alderaan, I couldn't continue searching after finding the 'main' treasure, in which each 3 cases was a crappy purple 28 enhancement. Seriously... ***?? I've got my chest piece all ready, looking lonely EDIT- and in the 2 minutes it took me to write this whinge, the only groupfinder pop for HMs all night popped, and I missed it. It is seriously not my 24 hours... I want to cry, lol
  7. Coming from someone with 8 Imperial 50s, all LS V, you couldn't speak to a more loyal and patriotic Imperial So I know just how badly the current situation sucks. And with the new lead writer being the writer who did the JK story (very mediocre at best) it's not looking hopeful for us. However, it is all explained. (I have 2 republic toons I'm leveling, a JK at 43 and a JC at 30). OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS BELOW, READ AT PERIL Due to massive Imperial disorganisation, huge amounts of petty and stupid Sith in-fighting, the Star Cabal & Republic determination to wipe the Empire out, we don't really stand a chance. As Darth Marr says himself during the opening convo on Makeb, he says to my Warrior and my Inquisitor that if the Sith (predominantly -us- being the most powerful and/or influential sith in the empire) don't start working together in solidarity, honour and patriotism we are doomed. The Sith (majority of them) care about nothing else but power, and themselves. They are a blight on the name of sith and should be exterminated (thanks Bane). Anyway, I ramble. Empire wins Balmorra, a HUGE bonus for us. But short-lived. The Republic soon takes it back, gaining them and losing us some of the most powerful droid & weapon factories in galaxy. And we also lose Corellia (a small victory to begin with, seeing as it cost us 1/10 of our entire force, a ridiculously huge loss)- did you not play the Black Hole (Corellia bonus series) daily zone? It's kind of the point of it. We lost Corellia, and in a last-ditch effort before we retreat the planet, a small strike team are sent there (with you leading them) to destroy all infrastructure on Corellia, making it a barren, empty, worthless planet which is a drain on the Republic instead of a gain. (also being the founding planet OF the Republic its a moral loss). However, it's still a loss for us. And as you said, Malgus' betrayal, the loss of another huge swathe of our Fleet (if Empire cannon really is DS, which is lame, then in FE flashpoint the DS option to kill Arkus costs us our fleet, again. Whereas LS saves it...) And the Dread Masters, like republic getting a destroyed Corellia, its a huge morale loss for us. Dread Masters were one of most powerful weapons we had, and they just buggered off, and are attacking us. YAY! Also, as is announced on Makeb (whether it's true or not), the Republic formally announces the Emperor's 'death'. a MASSIVE win for the Republic (symbolic win if nothing else). The Bounty Hunter kills the Republic's Supreme Chancellor. Seems like a win for us, however all that does is bring in the new chick into power, and she is MUCH better, more efficient and war-mongering than her predecessor. All this does is make the Republic sharpen its teeth and claws. As for Ilum, not a huge loss for Republic. By that time, Jaeric is old and worn-out. Let's not forget (but connected to Dread Guards) EC- lots of Imperial troops defect and are killed, by us. Then of course comes the Star Cabal (Imperial Agent story). a massive secret organisation who plays the Galaxy to their own needs. They puppeted the entire war, and play Republic and Empire for fools. They cause the disbanding of Imperial Intelligence - this is ultimately one of the biggest losses the Empire suffers. Imperial Intelligence is the number 1 advantage the Empire has over the Republic. Intelligence is an absolutely superb ministry of spies and assassins, and this is proven that once it is disbanded, the Republic SIS and army gains their biggest victories against us, and we have NO idea what is going or or how to stop it. The Empire crumbles without Intelligence. Sure there's loads more, but I'm too eager to start playing, so I'm gonna stop writing EDIT- how could I forget about Class stories? lol Anyway: All Imperial class story final bosses (except Bounty Hunter, but explained above ^) are Sith.. it's *********** ridiculous. All Republic final bosses, are Sith. It's just SO not fair. Sith Warrior- kills Darth Baras, genius behind the Sacking of Coruscant and the instigator of the Second Great Galactic War (the one we're in now). Ultimately, a pretty big loss... Baras being one of the cleverest Sith around. Sith Inquisitor- kills Darth Thanaton, another loss for the Empire. Another clever and powerful Sith, traditional, honourable. The reason for his death is also pretty lame, he made a terrible arch-enemy. pointless Imperial Agent- Act 1- Kills Darth Jadus (for fair reason, but its still an insanely powerful, clever, and logical Sith) and well, Hunter and the Star Cabal, fair enough. but still not anti-Republic. So.. for ALL of our classes, not once of us makes any big impact on the Republic. However, the Republic is the exact opposite. All we (majority of crappy sith) care about is killing each other, all the Republic cares about is killing us.

  9. I went to the dig site past the dam, took me 40 mins but I found the 'special object' and it was some crappy purple 28 enhancement, and apparently there's only 1 per area? So I guess the armour drops are completely random?

  11. Awesome, thanks for the reply guys. Do people know exactly which planets have a 'zone' to mine? Is it every planet from Tatooine and above? or just planets we did Seed quest on? And any known fixed location of dig sites? If we can get all info correlated here will help many people. <3

  13. I can't, really, as my experience with all of mine have been the opposite. What classes are you playing? Maybe that has some effect onto it, altho I've got a 50 of each and still agree with my sentiment. By the end of my storyline, I'm usually LS1-2. 2 of my characters are completely neutral (with 0 alignment and 10,000 in LS and DS). Don't get me wrong, I don't pick every single LS option, and I don't like (from an RP-er perspective) people who pick whatever just go 'grind' their alignment. As others have said, I role play my character, I pick what I would do at the time, as a proud and noble (subjective) warrior of the Empire and the Sith Order. If someone has no use to me, I will kill/torture/shock/choke them as many times as possible and enjoy it.
  14. Then what exactly is it? Coming from 5 LS 5 Imperial characters (3 of whom I grinded up from DS 5), I can 100% confirm that the vast majority of LS options are in fact pro-Empire. It's kind of the POINT of it. Granted, several options instead set free or save (read: not kill) Republic soldiers, or weak Jedi. Fair enough. BUT, it is a minority of choices.
  15. If you think playing a 'lightside' sith (in this GAME'S terms) is being a Jedi, then you're a fool who has never bothered to even TRY a LS option. If you had, you would know that 'lightside' (again, in THIS GAME'S terms) just means 'good for your faction'. So, for my Sith, who are all LS 5, it means that every single act I do, I do for the good of my Empire. My Sith Warrior, being will take prisoners, when taking a prisoner is warranted. Why kill some no-body engineer or technician, when instead taking him prisoner and forcing him to work for you would benefit everyone you fight for immensely. (Here, I'm referencing taking the LS option in the False Emperor FP, where doing so saves most of the Imperial Fleet. Killing him gains you NOTHING and destroys the Fleet. Yeah, great option. genius) My Sith Inq is much the same. Ironically it's my Agent that went full Darkside. Learn2context

  18. Hey everyone. I'm about 1/2 way into the Macro & Seeker quests, however the only time I noticed 'other' areas where my Seeker probe activates (outside of Seed area) was on Tatooine, near the NE Dune Sea area, by the ship crash site with Jawas all around it. I spent about 10 mins digging here but got nothing but grey vendor trash. However, I'm just wondering, are these areas on every planet? Or just some? or just Tatooine? (I never stumbled across any areas on the other planets so far) Are they in fixed areas? And if so, does anyone have a list of where they are? Are the Dreadseed armour located in 1 location each, or completely random? Thanks! diolch yn fawr EDIT- also, I realise I haven't finished the quest line yet so don't have the Probe 'proper'. Is this also a necessity to pick up the armour pieces? I'd assume so
  19. Quest: {Stage 2} The Dissonance Wave (Empire) Anyone think this quest MAJORLY needs looked at? Takes SO much time. I feel like I've done 3/4 of whole of Makeb story before even completing this quest. Takes you to 3 distant corners of a Mesa, then wading through HORDES of enemies to do exactly the same thing you've just been doing. THIS QUEST ALONE got me from just hitting 54 to hitting 55.. that's how much pointless grinding it requires. By far my least favourite quest in whole game.

  21. Fair point. I guess we're never lax for DPS or heals, so I never have to think about it. With a less than optimal raid, sure. And as I said in my earlier post, the damage reduction is nice, but all I'm saying is for an annihilation mara, it is NOT a definite necessity as people here are saying.
  22. I'm sorry, but you're wrong. More damage is equal to reduced damage taken, if the extra damage is a lot more than what you receive. And as I said, if you're a good player you won't get hit by more than minimum damage, which as YOU said everyone gets hit for, so it makes no difference. healers have to heal it anyway. Sorry, but you're a piss poor player if you think extra 15% damage on your EXECUTE is not worth taking. I've gone through all progression raids, so I'm sorry, but I know what I'm doing, as does my raid team. They prefer it like this, I prefer it like this. I already said I've never once died from AoE, and kill things a lot quicker. Logic edit: just on top, all maras in our guild have the same talents, and all our maras are top dps. Speaking to our healer RIGHT NOW, who is next to me as I type this, says that healing off a mara is no challenge nor necessary. edit x2: I'm also annihilation, which I said. Self-healing + cloak of pain + rakata medpac = no damage. Edit x3: also, if your healers are STRESSED, then either your healers ,tanks or dps is bad. Healers shouldn't be stressed. Even on Kephess NiM, healers ONLY get 'stressed' when tanks **** up. Not before.
  23. That's a very good point. Sorry, I so rarely go carnage I forget! For annihilation maras then, it's crucial. Especially with self-healing etc, AoE damage reduction isn't important.
  24. I'm sorry, but I can't disagree with this enough. Yes, the damage reduction is nice, but if you're not brain-dead during the fight, you can avoid most avoidable AoE anyway. Taking these talents are a huge waste of DPS. Annihilation mara, full DG, 21k health. Never once, ONCE, have I died in ops due to AoE. It is negligible damage, unless you stay in it. And if you do, you're just dumb. It is MUCH MUCH better to put those extra talents into Rage, for extra smash, vicious throw and vicious slash by 15%. That is huge damage, for your execute and rage spender. Used properly, this contributed to about 17% of my damage. That is massive. huge. and a ridiculous waste to not have. Especially during EC NiM tanks fight, extra dps is crucial. EDIT- also, with cloak of pain and especially obfucscate, I can kill anything but champions before taking more than 5% health. It's only tanks who don't realise they don't need to tank everything that causes a lot of problems. (my 2 main chars are a sin and jugger tank)
