  1. I'm all for level scalling (so long as it's scalling down to the content and not up, although it's fine to scale up for instances content just not zone/world) as it is in Guild Wars 2, which in my opinion is the best leveling EXP in any game. It's really sad to watch all these, so called elite players, complaining how they will have to put extra effort into heroics and flashpoints. Of course my opinions, and we'll all know what happens to the leveling EXP soon enough.
  2. The Emperor is to busy on illum having fun to come speak with us. sad face haha
  3. Yeah speaking of 01/20/12- I didn't REG the game till the 24 of DEC but when i unsub it tells me that 01/20/12 I'm out of here. Bioware ripping me off yet again I guess you could say. Now I'm not going to worry about it since the game is a shody game but just saying that bioware continues to do bad things... even after we unsub!!! haha
  4. haha a handful of folks in my guild has downloaded that game yesterday! Some of them use to play it anyways. I might give it a try or go back to lotro till guild wars 2. I've downloaded the guild wars 1 trial and so far loving it to. GW came out in early 2005 and has higher resolution textures than swtor so awesome.
  5. Well really it was the game producer that said all them things haha. Just go check out the interviews around the internet. One that comes to mind is the gamespy one. Also if you take a bit more look around the forums you'd see folks with highend comps complaining about these same issues.
  6. Very nice man! PS) Love how bw is closing down other off topic threads but this one still here for a while yet. kind of shows everyone their true colors eh.
  7. Once we're gone you're left with folks that won't open their mouths to bioware doing bad things. I guess at that point you'll get what you'd get. Folks make unsub posts because they do or did care about the game or product. Its our way of saying things just sucks and it shouldn't had to come to this. Its a protest i guess you could say and there's nothing wrong with that. However in 15 some years of playing MMOs I've seen folks talk down to the unsub guys... only to find out that 6 months or a year down the road they too are looking for another game because the one they were just playing lost massive folks. Don't ever say these things can't happen. I'm not wishing for swtor to end up that way at all. However I can't support a shady company and a shody game.
  8. Hey it may or may not work... but at least i'm giving it a try and that's the only thing I and others can do at this point. If anything it should show up at bioware and maybe if they see enough of these attempt they will finally figure out they suck.
  9. I agree with this for sure. SWTOR was my first ever bioware game. All I remember was being in doubt about it and my friends saying not to; that bioware made good games. Well since swtor came out and finding out just how much i dislike the game... I also do a bit of research to find that a lot of issues in swtor is apart of all of their games. It would seem that bioware didn't put out a single game i'd like. Let's just say I won't be listening to friends anymore.
  10. I unsub before patch 1.1 just purely base on how i felt about the shady bioware folks. Besides I knew how bad 1.1 was anyways by spending time on the test server and its forums. I've also started a charge back on the card base on false advertisment of the gfx and simply this game being a load of crap (my opinion though).
  11. Guild Wars has better over all gfx. World of Warcraft has better over all gfx. Star Trek Online has better gfx. LOTRO, AOC, well let's just put it this way... EVERY OTHER GAME has over all better GFX and preformace to boot. Now let's move onto the patch 1.1... Bioware was told many of times on the test server forums about many issues with the patch. That the patch was/would/will cause issues with folks feelings about the nerfs and changes. That some folks were also having bugs and other game issues ect... Bioware delays the patch making it look like they cared. The patch comes out and within the first few hours it has caused every single issue that was predicted and exp on the teast server. LIKE OMG BW you don't liste and you don't care. I have only 2 or 3 days left to post my opinion on these forums so I'm going to make good use of them.
  12. I have a fairly large list of MAJOR game breaking issues to sub. So I'm going to think of a reason for you to stay. Not to get on the subject of things I've already complain about on the forums I'll add something else. Alts Every MMO I played I have alts. I'm talking about a lot of alts and on more than one server and faction side. I love taking every class to level cap and seeing what each one has to offer. SWTOR is the first MMO that I can't get an alt past level 20. It just kills me to think about taris, balmorra, belsavis, all the dang space stations i have to go though to get planet side. There's no reason to explore in this game. Some of the planets are large but there's no real reason to explore them. I really don't care about looking at crappy textures. You spend a lot of time trying to get orange gear for your char and the pet (trust me these are no smart enough or indepth enough to be called companions); only to find that you can't make them look nice or complete a good set. This game has zero replay value for me and thus just like a snap of a light switch... has became dull and boring. OP I'd stick with what makes you happy and what you feel will bring you the better gaming exp.
  13. If you watch the SW movies you'll notice that folks land their ships on planets all the time. If you play a SW video game, well swtor, you'll dock your ship at some stupid space station and take a shuttle to planet side. Not only does it not line up with the movies and books but also breaks the immersion of being a smuggler. I'm also tired of hearing this crap about swtor being BW first MMO so cut them slack. They had an alpha, close beta, open beta and early access to get all the feedback they need to make changes.
  14. This early posting of mines has been made a new. Although I've caned my sub to swtor, and told my guild of friends that I was leaving; new light has came to be after finally deciding to tweaks things. I'm not saying that this bandaid fix will make me feel better about bioware but it might buy them one more sub. I downloaded rivatuner and changed the LOD Bias setting to -3 from 0. This change has made the armor textures on par with classic-wow armor looks. In addition it has also improve the world textures a lot. This change has went far as to sharpen up the textures and details in world. I'm not sure what kind of neg impact it will have on my computer hardware but as of now its the only way I can even think about playing the game going forward. with that being said the tweak was used on a nvida gfx card and I have no clue if it works with any other brand. Not to change my first post 100% here; bioware has discredit their community and dishonor them selves in my eyes. SWTOR was the first bioware game and the last bioware/EA game I'd buy. Bioware would really have to pull out the stops for me to consider subing long term and buying future expansions. Playing the game long term also depends on my friends staying; They're not that into tweaking their gfx drivers for better results like me. I find it very funny and upsetting that bioware would really say that they can't allow higher res textures in the game for player's computer safty. What is this, socialist or something, I mean where do they get off saying that kind of junk. I'd hope every other studio makes funny jokes about that statement. Also if other DEV studios can make High RES and even HD gfx for their game, why not bioware? Is it talent or the upper powers to be? I'd wager to bet it was both but whatever... bioware showed their true colors.
  15. So in other words patch 1.1 is going to be the end of first 30 days? That patch, 1.1, going to be the grand patch for sub time? .... Oh well, there goes the game sub numbers.
  16. Tell me about it. For the first time I went into a warzone or whatever they're called yesterday. I ended up being CC/stun/locked whatever for 10 mins it seem like. I was so nerd raging I did the one thing I never did before... pulled the ethernet cable! As it is I'll never go back into a warzone. World pvp is fairly dang fun on a pvp server though.
  17. I downloaded gpu-z to see some stats on my video card while playing two games. SWTOR: - gpu temp = 86C - fan speed = 87% - vram memory = 638 MB (belsavis) outside with clifs/trees/buildings ect. - gpu load = 99% compare to a game with far more detailed and higher resolution texture with a semi realistic world. LOTRO: - gpu temp = 55C - fan speed = 45% - vram memory = 384 MB (north down's) outside with mountains/hills/trees/buildings ect. - gpu load = 23% swtor = garbage engine and poorly used... lotro = awesome in-house engine with years of proven exp in use... I've thought about reinstall AoC since its free to play and maybe a trial of WoW just to compare them to. swtor will probably tire out your gpu with those kinds of temps though!
  18. haha wow man! this just proves that bioware works backwards with their games. first game = awesome looking textures and the second game = made on the playstation 1.
  19. Here's the thing though what you do is you release a game with less content and save that for later. However at the very least you should always release your game with a working, stable and feature proof engine. TOR has more than enough content for any release and I'd much rather them have release this game with less content if it meant a working and feature proof engine. Its a MMO and I know MMOs take time to fill out with content. That much i expect, but what I don't expect and will not accept is a broken old no feature engine. They spent all them years and all of that money on voice acting, and when it came down to crunch time what we got is a game engine that's more broken and feature lacking (gfx) than windows 95!
  20. Much as i came to hate that game with wrath came out... that is in fact a very true statement. I've said the same thing many of times to friends as well. It's very sad that World of Warcraft beats this game up texture wise. Blizzard works to improve their engine and gfx qul with every expansion release. So far bioware has worked to undo their gfx qul with every beta release and launch. Take a look at the game textures and shadows way back when, like a year or two ago, look at the gfx qul, yeah. I'm not just talking about the char armor textures either... I know a lot of you just focus on that but I'm upset with the world gfx as well. Some of them are fairly nice and a lot of the textures looks like old playstation 1 games. What a joke and the joke is on us for paying them for it! I'm not a me me me person at all but when you release a game you better have did your homework and did your very best to ensure the game is awesome. Not just awesome in story and voice acting, but awesome in every aspect it can be. Folks have a right to say its 2012 and that games are to live up with modern tech. It's 2012 and we're playing a game that should've came out in 2005 at most. I played games back in 2000 that had textues that were sharper and more detailed. Forget your voice acting bioware... you're not going to fool me with your garbage. If your DEVs or power-to-be can't back up the talk with the walk than its time to stop making games.
  21. ... this patch is only on the test server as of now ... I'm very sure that implies that not a lot of folks are playing on the test server. Something tells me though you never even thought about that? HA HA HA
  22. So long as you all realize that mandalorians are made up of members consisting of multiple species and genders that are bound by a common culture, mando'ade. So you could be a human mandalorian so long as your culture is that of the mando'ade culture. I guess you could simply role-play your self as one. The star wars wikia provides a lot of info on the culture so that's a start. Far as being a perk? I guess you could claim to be one of the best warriors around! haha
  23. Yeah they owned up to and fix it alright... They renamed medium to high and drop high altogether. Time is running out or them to show prof that is being worked on or have it fix. 13 or so days till I hit the unsub button is all I'm saying, and no I'm not giving my stuff away because I'm hoping that in a year these issues are fix.
  24. I'll download the test realm and patch onto another computer to check this out. If bioware really did such a under handed tactic as to rename medium to high than goodbye SWTOR. Yeah sure, I'm only 1 of maybe a few, but I'll sleep better knowing that I'm not paying for a low-qul mmo by a game studio with no heart and ambition to improve on their game and mistakes.
