  1. Huttball's the best warzone with 2 equal teams. It sucks when one side is significantly better than the other.
  2. It's not broken, it just doesn't do what some people think it should do. Unfortunately some people of this opinion are rather loud armchair devs who are certain that they know more about developing an MMO than actual developers (they tend to be the ones claiming that everyone will quit if they don't get their way too).
  3. Given the choice between adjusting 1 AC (and its mirror) down to the others or trying to adust 7 (and their mirror) completely different ACs up by exactly the same amount I know which I would choose. You don't achieve balance by changing all classes at once and hoping it works out.

    Resolve FAILZ

    With full resolve you are immune to CC which stops you controlling your char (knockback, knockdown, stun & mez). Movement impairments (snares & roots) are not effected by resolve as they do not stop you from controlling your character, just from moving (at full speed or at all). :edit: Troopers stun grenade does not work through resolve, that's a stun. People who claim stuns, etc work through resolve have yet to provide even a few seconds of recorded gameplay to back it up. If it happens as often as some people claim then a) we'd all know about it and b) there would be plenty of proof.

There's nothing wrong with CCing appropriate trash (e.g. ones who heal the others), but you don't need all 8 players to have high amounts of CC. 1 or 2 usually do it, and I find it's rare not to have at least 2 sorcs who can do the CCing (I usually run with an Operative healer too who can use sap as required). On a side note, our CC in the form of carbonize can be brilliant at forcing trash to stay in AoE's, even if it does only stun then for a couple of GCD's. I often death from above and get agro from some (especially when using cooldowns - given the short cooldown on them there's no need to save exclusively for the bosses), then I run through the group and carbonise them all and do a quick 180 degree turn to flamethrower them when AoEing many trash mobs.
  9. I have no trouble getting into my main guild ops group as a powertech. High DPS and the ability to offtank for things like multiple turrets or when main tank is mind trapped and SOA needs leading to a pillar (or if maintank is mind trapped / being thrown, etc).
  10. People certainly do do it on purpose. For example someone on Ilum hoping that 8 enemies will leave when the queue pops.
  11. I'll happily do no damage as a tank if I take no damage too. But that's not the case.
  12. Why are 2 republics queuing and then declining the invite so often that it would cause you to make a thread about it?
  13. Sounds to me like you just want pvp to be decided by whichever side has the highest DPS. Remove anything but damage. If that's the case then we can save time by just performing a simple calculation instead of spending 15 minutes in a warzone.

    And as soon as they negatively effect balance this ruins far more peoples enjoyment. No need for pet classes.
  15. If you choose a pvp server then you can always be attacked. Assuming you are on a planet which both factions can access you can world PvP.
  16. You're a pvper? You sound more like a gear collector. The purpose of trying your best is to win, the purpose of pvping is to have fun. If you are just aiming for gear what will you do with it? Certainly not pvp as you apparently don't enjoy it.

    That's not what he said though. He said that if the leap is talented to a stun then 1 more stun will fill the bar. 1 + 1 = 2! Of course, it all depends on the length of the stun (as it should).
  18. Keep in mind that Incendiary Missile uses 25 heat every time we have to refresh a DoT, that's 25% of our overall resource and the more we have the slower it dissipates. Cleansing the DoTs is a very good counter.
  19. As a powertech a well specced one annoys the hell out of me (cover blocking CC, leap, grapple, etc) because they are my perfect counter. But to be fair, I expect that's what mercs feel like when I go at them with an interrupt as well as 2 gap closers and 2 stuns which also interupt without locking out. So overall I have no problem with it.
  20. As is any class relying on procs. Get a lot and kick ***, get none and suck.
  21. What about full champ vs full champ? Oh, right, skill decides it. The same argument holds true as you move up the ladder.
  22. Why? Valor means nothing really. Not amount of warzones played, not amount of warzones won, not the amount of kills, not the level of skill, nothing. Especially when they are making repeated changes to valor gain (i.e. first valor for warzones, then more for Ilum, then even more for warzones) It's as relevant as the /played figure.

    Every single person who claims resolve doesn't work can offer no proof. You'd imagine that if it fails with the frequency claimed at least 1 person would have been able to record a video, but no!
  25. The 2 skills which reset cooldown on rail shot (rocket punch & flame burst) are 4m & 10m respectively. So no, 30m is not even remotely the best place for a PT.
