PvP Healers - do YOU ever get MVP votes?
Vulcan replied to TebsGenius's topic in Scoundrel / Operative
I typically vote for my healers, but I sit and check out the board after I'm done. If you leave early, I can't vote for you, and I find some people just don't vote. My main is a DPS Guardian in Champ gear who has to throw out challenging call just to get over 5 medals. I can carry half the balls across the goal in Huttball and not get an MVP vote. One match I literally was the top of the chart, followed by almost all of the enemy team, then followed by team and got one vote. Healers aren't the only ones not getting votes, but I do feel your pain and appreciate your heals. It won't prevent me from playing a sweet Operative Healer who shoots stims from his wrist. I don't know how to describe that sounds, but it makes me happy. -
Not just him, it's also publicizing our forum thread. With more people pouring in to search, that means more resources and closer to finding the answer. As a big supporter of Catch despite individual opinions, he better post his walkthrough soon before someone else figures it out and becomes a Savior and he's remembered as a Speed Bump.

This could be interpreted that he tried to get the crystal by doing Bosses with 16+ but his actual goal was not just downing the boss. It's possible he had done other steps before doing something while engaging a boss. It would explain why his own guildies have said he won't tell them how to do it. Like with the Magenta crystal, I used my Battle of Ilum group to down the boss for the crafting material and no one had any idea the previous steps I had taken.

I found the Legendary Wampa and the Lost Tauntaun that were mentioned in... somewhere... but they are in the same barren plateua area (-800, -200 for the Wampa and -900, 300 for the Tauntaun), but pretty far apart. The wampa will reset before I lure him too far, and the tauntaun is Green and we don't know how to get it to move. I have shockfrozen water, but that does nothing and I have the Wamp Rat Fever debuff from trying to figure out the Outlaw's Den connection earlier.

Oh my, it took me 10+ tries, but I did it as a 50 Vigilance Guardian. I bought T7 all this corellian commendation gear and had to interrupt EVERYTHING the Emperor did. Force Kick > Force Stasis > Force Kick > Awe > Force Push > Force Kick With all your attacks peppered in. Had to use a medpac and all my CDs, although Call on the Force was still on it's second CD when I beat him. Painful, luckily I just got a new guild I chatted with between deaths and cooldowns!

Is it this difficult for all classes/everyone?
Vulcan replied to russmanOR's topic in Guardian / Juggernaut
Are you using a shield generator? It makes a huge difference. I also see Hybrid Builds for tanking there they take the first 3 or 4 tiers in the Defense tree and then go down Vigilance, I've only done DPS though. -

I use T7 to tank as a Vigilance DPS Guardian and I do pretty well around level 32. I kill weakest targets first and he AoE's everything for aggro. He dies against almost every elite, and Guided by the Light saw me murdered several times over, but I don't think they're as gimped as people really think. They have lots of minute cooldowns that I use at every chance that are CC and stuff, they're a really neat class, I like having lots of cool buttons! -
Being stuck with Kira meant my Vigilance Specced Guardian had to make a shield generator and tank him in Soresu. Took me 3 or 4 tries, made kira charge, used her blade ward, Call on the force and interrupted a lot. when I used force push, was able to leap immediately after for a nice boost in Focus. Starting to wish I went Sentinel.

Well, OP, thanks for the ideas for PvP, I use master strike occasionally, but I'll definitely take some of your advice. I don't feel focus starved usually as a Vigi because of the Focus from damage in my form. And I did come to the forum to figure out why the game got effing hard 28-32, The end of Chapter 1 quest where I had to fight the elites were murdering me for half an hour, had to use Call on the Force for 2 of them.

I've also heard, (so take this with a grain of salt) that the mental torture the Emperor was doing caused a telepathic link. Revan used this link to influence the Emperor, causing him to wait the 300 years before attacking. The link also caused some of the Emperor's influence to seep into Revan. It's almost like a river and the bank. Revan is the bank and the Emperor was a river running through him, trying to erode him,. When he succeeded, however, the bank washed into the river, muddying the waters. Of course, 300 years of torture, even with the assistance of a powerful force spirit can be harsh.

I play a Lightside Jedi Guardian who shows No Mercy. Whenever I have the opportunity to kill an enemy, I do it, with the exception of Lord Praven, who made me change my ways, until Angral killed my Master, then I went back to killing everyone because I was so pissed. I'm wondering, does Master Orgus always die? Or does he die because I've killed all of Angral's apprentices and his son? I really loved Master Orgus and remember how excited I got when I found him still alive on Alderaan.
