  1. I was really hoping he was just coming back as a Force Spirit or something. If he comes back as a Cyborg..... I don't see how he, or even Anakin for that matter could have survived that drop. The cut was pretty high, I'm thinking his intestines could have been hit, that's already bad. We're also shown he slams into the side of the shaft fairly hard at least once. Given the length of the drop he'd slam into it repeatedly, this could break his bones, or just kill him even more. Lets say he survives the fall somehow, who the hell in their right mind would find him, bring him to a medical center and patch him up? I don't think "Heavily tattooed Zabrak cut in half" Is standard procedure anywhere in the galaxy, It had to pop up somewhere. I just don't see any logical sense as to how he could survive that drop after being cut in half.
  2. Watch Episode 3 again. He did not give in to the dark side on his own. He was corrupted by Darth Sidious. The stuff he did in Episode 2 was pretty dark yes, but It wasn't caused by his desire for power. It was revenge for what the sand people did to his mother. While in Episode 3 all the evil stuff he does, I.E. kill the younglings, murder the Seperatist leaders, choke Padme and fight Obi-Wan (more or less in that order) was all because he believed he needed the full power of the dark side to save his wife. That's the seduction, Sidious made him believe the Dark Side was the path he needed to take. I think you phrased that wrong. Anakin was whiny yes, but he was in no way incompetent. In fact he was probably more competent in Episode 3 than Vader ever was.
  3. The balance the prophecy refers to does not mean equal numbers of Jedi, and Sith. Yeah that was when the Prophecy of the One was fulfilled. The punchline of the Saga if you will. I'd call that ironic.
  4. It was the only planet i rushed through. I really did want to shoot every single person i met.
  5. Calm down. Some people waited 15 years for Duke Nukem Forever. Come back in 10 years, and you can complain all you want.
  6. I honestly don't follow your point? It doesn't really relate to what I said. I was agreeing with the OP regarding Vader being very powerful when fully immersed in the Dark Side, but given his injuries he simply couldn't manifest the Force like he was able to before. You can't really compare Grievous to Vader in that sense mate. To clarify, I hope you're not confusing my use of the word "grievous" as an adjective with the actual guy? In which case you read my post out of context. I haven't read the novels personally so I can't be 100% certain, but I've heard a lot of people saying that the TFU novels portray the plot somewhat differently. I.E. Galen actually didn't overpower Vader with those excessive amounts of lightning as portrayed in the game. In a way this would make more sense, because the amount of lightning channeled directly into Vader seems like gross Overkill. I agree.
  7. You know what, you might be on to something there. I'll actually agree with you on that one. Too bad he lost both arms, legs, his mind, and suffered grievous third degree burns to his entire body, and fried his respiratory system. There simply wasn't enough left of him to ever become that powerful. That was the thing that really killed him. That lightning was extremely powerful on It's own, we saw It could kill Mace Windu without too much trouble. Vader's entire body consisted of electronic components, both his limbs, and internal organs were at that point mostly mechanical, so when the lightning hit him, despite the suits insulation abilities, his missing hand allowed all that lightning to surge at full power through his entire body, frying everything inside him, literally. But you are correct, his entire life inside the suit was mainly fueled by rage, and hate.
  8. I imagine the clones would carry it out, or most likely all die trying which would expose Palpatines cover, allowing the Jedi to go after him, or maybe even prevent Order 66 from ever being issued. But I'm sure Palpie spent many years rehearsing those lines in front of the mirror.
  9. To the best of my knowledge no. The most accurate time I can give you is 3,643 BBY.
  10. I wasn't aware of a Digital Collector's edition even existing?
  11. If you had kept reading the article on Wookipedia you would have found your answer. A lot of those contingency orders were extreme. Order 65 for instance had something to with removing the Supreme Chancellor from office, should he found to be unfit to lead the Republic. I'm deducing by the contents of these 2 orders that most of, If not all, the orders were designed to allow Palpatine to fulfill his plan in the event he might have become Chancellor, and all other possible scenarios. In short, they missed it because It was hidden in the middle of a contingency plan with more or less equally extreme orders.
  12. I enjoy having those big, and lasting choices to make. Makes you actually consider the consequences of your actions.
  13. Again, correct for the most part. Rex commanded the 501st along with Anakin. But I highly doubt only a Company from the 501st marched on the Jedi Temple during Order 66. A Company in the Grand Army of the Republic consisted of 144 units commanded by a Captain (Rex) whereas a Legion consisted of over 9,000 units. All of the GAR was later reformed into the Stormtrooper corps, but only the 501st remained 100% Clones. Anakin was a General, so I find it plausible he commanded the entire 501st Legion to the Jedi temple instead of "just" Torrent Company. I'm guessing the only reason Rex wasn't seen marching with Anakin and the rest of Legion Is just because the character wasn't created yet. At the moment he kinda stands out in his armor since It's custom made from parts of both Phase 1, and 2 of the Clone Trooper armors.
  14. They work like the because they are not made of a laser. If anything the blade is composed of Plasma surrounded by an energy shield. I guess the length of it depends on the power setting. Given It's all contained in a hilt the power supply is limited, so It can't just go on forever. No they don't. To the best of my knowledge, Star Wars Technology peaked several thousands before the movies, or TOR. These types of questions actually annoy me. No offense, but every Star Wars movie starts with "A long time ago, In A Galaxy Far Far Away". I'm assuming It's just a common thing since there's a massive variety of species throughout The Galaxy. But no one understands all the different langauges. That's what Protocol Droids like C3PO is for.
  15. Yeah but Cody is the Commander of the 212th Attack Battalion. I think It's separate from the 501st Legion which Rex was attached to. I didn't see any 501st Troopers during the Battle of Utapau, so there's a decent chance Rex wasn't even there. Also,
  16. Beats me. I figure she either left the order, or died prior to, or during Order 66. I'd rather know what happens to Rex, and Fives. I'm having high hopes for those guys not pulling the trigger when Order 66 Is issued.
  17. I can't remember exactly where, maybe a DVD feature, but Lucas said that the Emperor did actually loose to Windu in the Lightsaber fight. And I think Mace was the only person in the Galaxy capable of doing that. Force wise Sidious beats everyone else. Even Yoda. To answer the original question: Anakin was the Chosen one. I genuinely don't understand the complexity to this question. He killed Darth Sidious, the last of the Sith, ergo, The Chosen one.
  18. I have a love/hate relationship with the show. It does It's best to tell good Star Wars stories, but for me It ruins them for some reason. The Mortis Trilogy just seemed completely redundant to me as It didn't have any lasting impact on any of the characters. I do however love all the Clone focused stories. I find it amazing to see a single "character" with 1 voice actor to portray so many different personalities. And the Krell story ark is definitely my favorite story ark so far.
  19. I had no trouble whatsoever getting mine. Hell, even as I was getting mine a girl walked in, and got her CE as well.
  20. I think you might be a little too hasty there friend. When the Sith revealed themselves in Episode 1 after 1,000 years following the Rule of Two, and following Maul's death, the Jedi didn't even know If the master, or apprentice had been killed. Nor did they have any clue who else might be Sith. While The Brotherhood of Darkness was strong, they didn't beat either the Jedi, nor the Republic. In fact they waged a centuries long war with them. The Sith Empire of TOR also haven't beaten either Jedi, nor Republic. I can't actually think of, or know of any Sith Empire not following the Rule of Two that has ever decisively won over the Jedi Order, or The Republic. If anyone knows of another Sith Empire not following The Rule who managed to defeat both Jedi, and Republic please let me know. During the Rule of Two however, Darth Sidious orchestrated both the destruction of the Jedi Order, and the Republic. Both more or less overnight.
  21. It isn't the number of Force users that creates imbalance. It's their actions. The Jedi were peace keepers, they didn't start conflicts, or intentionally caused to anyone. The Sith were destroyers. They thrived on creating conflicts, and causing harm to everyone. Darth Sidious was the culmination of over 1000 years of deception with the sole purpose of overthrowing the Republic, wiping out the Jedi, and having the Sith rule the Galaxy. When Sidious instigates The Clone Wars, the destruction caused Is so immense It engulfs the entire galaxy with the Dark Side. Trillions of lives are lost, cities are devastated, and corruption is thriving in the Republic. That is the imbalance caused. Not by 10,000 Jedi Vs. 2 Sith. Yes. Saying otherwise completely negates the entire plot of the movies. I.E. Anakin's destiny. Sidious Was the last Sith. He and Darth Vader was the last line of Sith thanks to 'The Rule of Two'. The traditions that had been carried over at least 1,000 years were gone. Vader was destroyed when Anakin redeemed himself, and killed Sidious. Bringing balance to the Force by eliminating the Sith once, and for all, and crippling the Empire beyond recovery. I have no idea where you deduced all those ideas from, but just about every one you state negates, overrides, or completely derails everything stated in the movies. To answer the original question: For me, It's the movie version.
