  1. "Same crappy implementation of stealth" = "wow rogue" = "AoC Assassin" = "squishy captain stabby from teh stelthz!" Ops/Scoundrels even have a positional backstab equivalent ... two of them. It's a classic. Assassin/Shadow stealth is actually a nice way to do it; stealth is there, but ... it's just "there"; there aren't any key class mechanics built around it (e.g. TA/UH, burst attack only available from stealth, etc). Don't feel like stealthing? Ok, so don't! Ditto mara/sent "stealth". But ops/scoundrels? Tell me you haven't seen this exact crappy class structure before? Nothing would tickle me more than to have HS/SF simply yanked from the game, and re-balancing done from there, otherwise all this crap never ends.
  2. They're just doing what all game devs do: they come up with the same crappy implementation of "stealth", then try to balance the rest of the class around it. If you think this was the last nerf, you're in for a rude awakening.
  3. Seems like half the time, Orbital doesn't finish its cast properly. 1.2 brought in some very, very strange bugs. Is true. Dart doesn't fill the whole resolve bar any more.
  4. Well ... I personally think combining a "romance option" post with a title containing any variation of "sheep", "electric" or not, was ... unfortunate.

  8. Based on some of your other posts, you may be experiencing an eye dee ten tee error. You *are* aware the classes are mirrors, right?
  9. Use "target nearest enemy" and put it on its own button. I use a mouse thumb button ... the near one for "target enemy near" and the far one for "target friend near". Not perfect if you're in the scrum, but I'll wager you're usually off by yourself a bit, ranging in on the scrum, right?
  10. Then what would be the point of the change? On one hand, you want a "penalty for being caught" ... and on the other you're saying "stealthers never get caught anyway". Sounds like you're thread title should have been "give gs/snipers scanning probes"? "Clickers die in PvP. Film at 11".

  13. Exactly. Then nerf the gear, not the class. Doing it the other way round is absurd, if you think about it for a little bit. I think there's actually a fair bit of utility, at least in PvP. I wouldn't mind some changes to the stealth mechanic, and I really think they should eliminate even the concept of a stealth opener.
  14. Then fix the problem, don't futz with the base class. If "properly" is the problem, then "properly" ... isn't.

  19. Really? Reeeeeally? Sure, you make that a requirement and the rest of your conditions are irrelevant. A full team of, well, anything on voice chat is going to stomp a bloody puddle in the chest of the team not using it. In any game you care to mention. We already have it. Surely you've used "Smuggle" a time or three, right? What's your prognosis, doctor? That would work, but you'd have to make it mara-stealth, not Op/scoundrel stealth. Then rebalance the rest of the class stats to not rely on it.
  20. Pretty much how I look at it. Just have to see how it settles out on live over the next couple weeks and see if everything evens itself out a bit.
