  1. Oh, that was legit ? I thought it was a scam, it was the only swtor related e-mail I had that came from a different e-mail adress.
  2. According to the wiki, Ithorians can speak basic, albeit heavily accented, which would probably get obnoxious really fast.
  3. The IA story is actually one of the two stories I have not yet completed, so I will concede the point, at least for now
  4. But none of the others fight anyone who is considered to be THE most powerful being of that time.
  5. Nathema ( has potential for some unique gameplay mechanics and visuals as well ), Ziost and Dantooine is what I'd like to see.
  6. Gear visuals would be an issue with Ithorians I think. No idea about Mon Calamari.
  7. There are absolutely NO troll posts in this thread. Just because someone doesn't agree wtih you doesn't mean he's a troll.
  8. Fair enough. Although, they did the same with Lineage 2, and a few months in they started selling some outrageous stuff in the store. Not saying it has or that it will happen to Aion, but I wouldn't be surprised either.
  9. LoL is a different genre, I very much doubt it's model would work for an mmorpg. GW2 isn't really f2p.
  10. Um, isn't this every f2p game ever ? Most, if not all, f2p games I know have limited content, increased xp gain for subscribers, and certain limitations when it comes to things like AH, inventory, bank, etc.
  11. DDO and LOTRO are not pay to win, not to my knowledge. Having to pay to unlock some of the content is not pay to win. Paying to get a flat bonus to stats, for example, is pay to win.
  12. I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Said previous payed subscription has a cartel coin value attached to it. Whether he payed the sub with cartel coins in mind or not is irrelevant. Bioware requiring you to be subbed at an arbitrary time of their choosing in order to get these rewards is completely silly, and as much as I hate conspiracy theories, it's a fairly obvious way of squeezing a few extra subs from people that were unsure about it.
  13. Proof ? SGRs are a fairly minor feature and I don't see what makes you say that hardcore pvpers/pvers moved on any more than other people did. Also, you didn't really tell us why your opinion matters.
  14. 0. As a subscriber, I expect content updates to be free. Payed expansions are fine, but they would require a lot more than " space stuff " to qualify as an expansion.
  15. Blizzard did it, and they don't have much to gain from it ( at least apparently ), so I doubt that they rewrote the entire thing for it.
  16. What do f2p and gw2 have to do with eachother ? Also, unless you're referencing a different post of his, I do not believe that he called f2p a cash grab.
  17. I don't care what you think about the characters, and I'm not trying to change your mind or provide any objective reasons as to why I like / dislike them. That was simply personal opinion. What I DO believe was better is the story in general. I believe the reason was already brought up in this thread. It's a different story from what you'd expect, with many surprises ( if you found some of them obvious, good for you, maybe I'm just dumb like that ) and cool moments. I'm not going to give specific examples because I have very little interest in doing so, and I haven't played the game in a while ; my memory is pretty terrible.
  18. Mno. Boring, annoying or weird ( in a non-compelling way ), all of them. It's not a horrible plot twist, it's an awesome one. Everything about her is awesome from her beliefs when it comes to behavior to her hate of the force. Kotor 1 on the other hand, had interesting characters, but a generic story. Enjoyable, but generic nonetheless.
  19. I thought quite the opposite, I liked Kreia and thought everyone else was really boring. You misspelled " was much better than the first one ".
  20. A couple of reasons. First, there's no reason to remove it. It doesn't really cost them anything to have it as an option, and some people ( probably a fairly large number of people ) prefer it this way. This will still be a major source of income moving forward. Second, it's not really a failed model. Even if they lost a million, they still have more than 500k. That's a considerable amount of money. Giving up that money for no apparent reason would be silly. As far as I know, you can unlock the game in pieces if you so desire. I think they said that some of the unlocks will be subscription-only, but maybe that will change. Personally, I believe everything should be unlockable as a non-subscriber, so if you're into pvp, but not operations, you can just remove the restriction on warzones, or vice versa. Anyway, we don't know exactly what can and can't be unlocked separately, so this is just pointless speculation.
  21. They didn't lose 1 million players because the subscription fee is 15$, and they won't gain a significant number by lowering it. That's why I said that it's irrelevant that they lost subscribers.
  22. Did I stutter ? If they halve the monthly fee, they need to double the number of subscribers just to make the same amount of money. It's not happening, I doubt they'd even get a measurable increase , let alone double the number of subscribers. The fact that subscribers have already left is irrelevant.
