  1. Still no SGRs in the next patch, 1.6. Oh well.
  2. I've been getting lag and CTD issues lately too. Try playing in fullscreen mode. That seems to be the most common fix for CTD. Lag, on the other hand, is not so easily remedied.
  3. Huyang was built about 1700 years too late. The beginning of this arc was lame, but it's picking up. I'm still not onboard with the KID POWER! nonsense of irritating children acting on their own and somehow saving the day, but it wasn't as horrible as I expected.
  4. Ugh. I'm a founder too and I am very glad the best part of this game is free. The model as it is isn't horrible, but it's still very limiting and the number of threads about nickle and diming the player base as is is a good representation of how the community feels as a whole. And the comparison to LOTRO? Wrong, wrong, wrong. F2P players get access to the entire base game. You pay for the expansion packs. SWTOR doesn't have any expansion packs yet, unless you count the HK51 update, in which case you DO have to pay for it, so its effectively identical, but with much less quality of life features. Quickbars anyone? Hide head slot? Jesus.
  5. Then this game would be a success. And we don't want that, do we?
  6. 1. Togruta 2. Nautilan 3. Kel Dor Cathar is the worst possible choice ever. I hate that the devs are essentially saying, "buy this crappy first race or you won't see any more." Why not just chuck it and implement the races from this poll?
  7. So I got Old Republic a few weeks after launch, after hearing about how much my friends loved it. I'm a humongous Star Wars nerd, and I loved the original KOTOR games. Drew Karpyshyn is a great game writer, and Bioware games, though occasionally hit and miss, tend to be on the awesome side story-wise. So I plunked down the money. Let me tell you, I loved every minute of it. The voice acting is outstanding, the combat was visceral enough to feel satisfying, and I had a few friends to stomp through the quests and flashpoints with, so it was a lot of fun, and kept me occupied for a couple months all the way to level 50. I never had huge performance issues except in warzones unless my settings were turned to low, which I didn't play much anyway, and I either never encountered, or never noticed the ability delay bug people are still talking about, so the game was a fantastic use of my free time. Then I finished my class story and everything fell apart. Dailies were a joke, a cheap way to convince me to keep logging in for what, 30 minutes a day, every day, using recycled alien voices for some of the most boring quests in the whole game just so I can get a +2% mod. I tried raiding, and that was even worse. If I had to listen to some monotone basement dweller prattle on about positioning and boss patterns one more minute I was gonna kill someone. So I retired my 50 and continued my fun with alts. But, eventually, the population of my guild dwindled, and my friends quit, and I was all alone, essentially soloing, so I cancelled my sub. It's not worth 15 bucks a month to play a one-player game that I already spent so much time with, and I had other things in life I had to focus on. Legacy would have helped, if the bonus xp for class quests had been implemented yet, but it hadn't, so I was doing the same side quests over and over and over and I just got bored. That was four or five months ago. I got the itch lately, however, to play through some more character stories, and I found out free to play was coming. I was excited, because that meant I could play with some of my buddies who also didn't want to pay the sub fee for the leveling game, my girlfriend, and others. And then I looked through the website, looking to see what new features were added, what people were saying... and was immediately disheartened again. As I stated, I don't like raids. I really like pvp, but outside of a guild, without pvp gear, you're pretty much always gonna lose. The performance issues that are apparently still rampant don't help. That leaves the class quests, which is pretty much the only part of the game worth playing. Hell, even same gender relationships, something that was promised many many months ago, is still in the nebulous "where is it?" phase. I'm bi, my girlfriend is bi, and regardless of how you may feel about it, Bioware is a representative of the LBGT community and needs to step up. Even Conan did a bit about how the game had gay relationships -- and that was a loooong time ago. I can't imagine how many people are disappointed over this. And the story quests are over. They're "too expensive to make", I believe I read somewhere, so basically what came in the box is what we got. Well, I can live with that. Once it goes free to play, I'll probably hop on once every few months to play some of a class story, then move on to something else. I payed for a month before the switch so that I could rack up the cartel coins, for later use when my one month runs out and I go to f2p, and still have subscriber status for while I still feel like I care about the game. I don't see myself spending any more money after this. It's really too bad. I certainly am no minority. Regardless of the forumites, everyone I have talked to feels similarly on all aspects. Many people, gay and straight, don't want to play the game until SGRs are in. Many people won't play until more story content is made. I feel like the strongest supporters of the game can't bring themselves to play any more because Bioware fell through on everything they said they were going to do - and instead catered to people who have already moved on. I speak of "hardcore" raiders, "hardcore" pvpers, you know the type. So what would make it better? What would get myself and my friends to pay to play? -More class stories and planets -SGRs And what would be nice? -Bigger bonus from legacy for story xp -Less ridiculous restrictions for preferred players. I've thrown something like $130 at this game and I feel let down. I'm not the only one. I hope you're listening, Bioware.
  8. I unsubbed because of the community. That, and I never got that free month...
  9. Me neither. I hate to naysay but throwing something like this out at the last minute, i bet a lot of accounts have slipped through the cracks.
  10. This particular columnist is very biased and has horrible opinions.
  11. Actually I have a 50 and an account with 3 days left and I didn't get anything.
  12. New rotation. Rejuvenate - Benevolence - Healing Trance - Deliverance if needed. Deliverance was nerfed, get over it, but Benevolence is buffed. And Noble Sac is NOT nerfed. No free force after healing trance wahh, whatever, you knew it was broken. Now it costs some HP and has 0% chance for force degeneration for 8% force is a hella good deal. I'm going to be using it a lot more now, especially since all you have to do is tap a rejuvenate on yourself to get the health back, and then you're back to healing. Seriously, Deliv has different utility now, but a Benevolence with practically 100% crit rate is just fine.
