Conquest should be by faction rather than guild. Warhammer Online provided a good template for World Conquest.. most of the classes from that game were re-purposed into SWTOR anyway..

yes, standard gear tiers have plausible and predicable bolster patterns. but I would expect the Devs to get at least that right before going wild. your data corroborates that notion. understandably, people reading your article and this thread are concerned about the "outlier" effects of non -standard/non-current gear and their relationship with the bolster mechanism. the data you provide makes "Sense," while observations, random inspecting have shown quite the opposite, outside of the standard tier. Please do not take this as a criticism of your work. my disappoint is that work here does not go far enough, but thats my problem not yours.

On a side note the best part about what this guy did is he masks his gear rating by swapping gear and maintaining his bolster. he'll draw no outward attention with a 246 rating.

I wonder if the EA/BIOWARE stats take into consideration win trading. Best decision i ever made was to retire my Mara when the expansion came out. Sorc heal, Madness Assassin, even Merc are much better. No point in playing a Mara. Roll Jugg, you will live longer and do more damage. doubt these guys have ever played a Mara, and if they are doing so its fully augmented/geared out in optimal conditions (i.e.pocket healer) only reason to play your mara is for OPS and Roleplay.

in short, the market Jabba's are ok with people that Pay 2 Win, but don't like it when they pay with credits in a market they cannot manipulate.

i had to laugh listening to the Dev spew nonsense about how many people complained the economy was going to be ruined. compared to those that are pissed about buying the machine with cartel coins...these whiners were a small minority.

listened to the the Dev response to the casino machine nerf...these guys are completely out of touch. i guess I should not be surprised.
