  1. EV/KP - T1.x EC - T2.x Tionese - 126 Columi - 136 Rakata - 140 Campaign - 146 Hazmat - 150 Warstalker - 154 Wondering if Tionese was even supposed to be part of the T1 sets (looks like a last minute addition) when you look at Columi -> Rakata and the new T2 sets 4 ilvl upgrade per step.
  2. What I'm gathering from most of these pages is that a majority of the people that play this game want to look like Vader, or Darth Maul, or some other iconic figure in the SW universe their entire playthrough of this game. Would sound a bit boring if every set were black hoods or brown robes every tier.
  3. Loving the Inquisitor PvE tier (being an assassin myself). If the mask colouration was reversed (dominant black/dominant blue instead of dominant green/dominant gold) I'd like it a bit more, but yeah, I'm pleased with the set's aesthetics. Also, the sets will look better in game. I'm assuming the dressing room is still using the low low res textures.
  4. If this is true, I really don't see anything wrong with it. Sort of a throwback to the world boss buffs (ony/DM tribute/blasted land foods) of Vanilla WoW. At least I'll spend more time in this game than the 2-3 hours it takes to clear every boss on 16 NiM per week. =\
  5. Deception - 2xVS>Shock+Filler (Discharge/Maul/Saber). Burstier damage. Madness - Dot/Buff management. Higher sustained DPS. Deception doesn't really require much attention or cooldown usage except for proper timings of vanish/blackout for regen. Higher burst damage if you're looking at fights with lapses in combats/short encounters/etc. Madness (my preferred spec) has the only downside, imo, of a bad in-game UI since you have to track 3 dots and watch out for Raze procs. Around 80-100 dps difference at the top end on a patchwerk-esque fight in favor of Madness, but not big enough to sway one's decision just on that.

  7. If you're a stealth class, you can stealth run the 2 chests (1 small, 1 big) in HM FE 5 times an hour.
  8. What is the correlation of clearing this nightmare content and the lack of damage meters? If Bioware plans on increasing the difficulty of their content (which I'm hopefully assuming they will do), then people will want to know what the best optimizations of their class would be when you absolutely need to pull out the best dps/tanking/healing. Having cleared 10/10 16 NM, I'm experimenting with specs (looking at force lightning alacrity assassin and dps darkness) to see how they hold up with the cookie cutter 31/x/x Madness and Deception builds. Need more than just theorycrafting to get those numbers when it comes to practicality.
  9. That's what you have multiple raid difficulties for. Not like it really matters this tier anyway.
  10. I have 5 piece so I can play around with my chest. Nightmare end bosses drop L25-58 armorings.

  12. Only Saber Strike has 90% Accuracy. Thrash, Assassinate, and Lacerate (since they count as special attacks) have base 100% Accuracy. Next time you get a chance to check, hover over your Melee Accuracy to see that its actually 2 separate percentages.
  13. Again, there aren't any enhancements that we can switch to. Accuracy is horrible for most classes that rely mostly on force/tech skills. Alacrity is horrible for most classes due to the way resources work (lower you are, slower you regen)
  14. The thing that most of us are complaining about is that with this change, there really is no other viable option for the Enhancement slot. Ther aren't any DPS Power enhancements to replace the near useless 200 surge rating most of the higher geared players are sitting on.
  15. Its around that. Removing/Adding gear, I get 278 Surge - 74.59% 470 Surge - 78.34% Just means I have to drop 200 surge. Problem is that there is literally nothing to drop it with. Accuracy is damn near useless for a PvE assassin, and there aren't any decent Power or Crit enhancements to replace most of my surge/crit enhances.
  16. I really do understand whats going on, but I'm just going to blame this on an oversight on BWs part in underestimating their player base. There will be min/maxers in any game of this genre. When you have gear where you can essentially optimize it to your liking (in most cases, people dropped the mostly useless accuracy for more crit/surge on gear), unless you planned on this happening from the start, people are going to be at a higher "gear level" than what should have been possible. I seriously doubt that they wanted people to hit the 80%+ range of surge and they are "fixing" it now. The way gear looks now, its hard to see room for improvement in the upcoming tiers.
  17. People on the higher end were affected moreso than those on the lower. For myself, as an assassin, I was running 93% surge unbuffed (mostly rakata level gear). This patch dropped me to 79%, and with the nature of how my class works (lots of +crit damage talents), its a stupid nerf to a class that really didn't need it.
  18. Current stats w/ mark+flask 767-948 range 403.6 bonus dmg 29.81% crit 90.50% surge See constant 4k+ crits, 5k+ with consumables (used to get a little higher when I was using the +355 power relic, but switched to the NM puzzle boss energy proc one out of laziness D: ) Some of my tooltip avgs out of raid Shock - 1283 Discharge - 1431 VS - 1345 (counting both hits) Maul - 2053
  19. Tell everyone to turn off autoloot and set the instance to FFA. We've always used ML and since setting it to FFA, we're getting all of the items that we've been missing out on (4-5 rakata items, 4 crafting mats, 3-4 schematics, and some columi per boss now). Just have to trust your guildies

    PvE DPS

It wasn't really a case of which one is better, but of that showing the viability (currently) that Darkness is a feasible dps spec. When our "tanking" tree is comparable dps wise and offers the ability to offtank if needed, then what point is there to running a spec that only offers subpar damage. Either 1) Darkness needs to have its damage reduced and its threat modifiers increased and/or 2) Deception needs a buff to be more comparable to Madness specs (+150-200 dps)

    PvE DPS

Even though this is true, I've been wondering more about it. Pretty sure I saw a thread on Sith Warrior theorycrafting that Darkness out DPSs Deception. Hybrid Darkness (23 Dark / 16 Mad / 2 Dark): 1309 DPS Full Deception (31 Dec / 8 Mad / 2 Dark): 1308 DPS Was playing around with the calculator and was looking into a spec that takes HD as dps for the buffed FL. Not sure how well that would work out though.
  22. Have the Energy damage one (Nightmare) and the Internal damage one (Normal) as an assassin and neither of them scale at all.
