  1. @ OP well put. I hate crafting and I hate grinding. I have been forced to do it in so many others games...I simply refuse to do it any more. In beta and at launch I had the perfect answer, and now that is gone. I am no hoarder (err should I say was not a...) I spent credits to keep my gear and my companions gear competitive. Now that is not the case, I save every credit I can. At any rate, the game has lost all its allure for me, and I have already cancelled my subscription. This nerf was just the catalyst. The game is far to linear, you can tell it was made by people that make single player games. However, I digress. Enjoy your game.
  2. If you had bothered to actually read his post, he said he did have his speeder. Do you even have a clue what this thread is about? or are you just here spouting nonsensical crap? @ OP Either re-roll (I know painful) and do not buy a thing, and send all the credits you can to your main. OR, go grind mobs and sell junk. Either way, stay as far away from this broken crafting system as possible, it is a money/time sink at this point, nothing else.
  3. It wasn't just the slicer 'milk cow' as you so succinctly put it, it was the entire economies. Let me give you an example, based off fact. My wife did not take slicing, I did. I made quite a tidy sum of money and so did she. You see she is an avid crafter, loves it. I hate it and see it as a horrible time sink that I refuse to do. So the slicing system was perfect for me. She would take her crafted stuff and sell it on the Trade center, I would buy stuff off the trade center (from all sorts of people, not just her). Everyone was happy, everyone had credits. Then they broke slicing (that will be the sentence they focus on watch) and I stopped spending cash, because at higher levels things get very expensive, (you may find that out some day, when you do come on back) and now my wife has very few sales on the Trade center. Why you ask? because people won't spend money if they do not have money, therefore your crafted stuff isn't going to sell. She is actually more upset about the slicing break than I am. Point being, I understand you see yourself as a junior mod/forum police, and that is great, but spend less time in here, and more time actually playing and you will see that your argument is bunk. Slicing was just fine the way it was, nerfing it is only causing the economy to stagnate. I wish I had admin rights so I could remove posts like yours. Honestly.
  4. because even more people in that game didn't. If everyone has easy access to in game monies, then it heavily reduces the demand, therefore the farmers/sellers don't stick around long.
  5. I am not sure what you are basing your assumptions off of, but it has been proven that humans are pretty lazy. Making in game monies easy to get is the best way to stave off gold farmers and sellers, and all the bots, hacking and junk that comes with that ilk. Further more, you say that 'legitimate' new players would not be able to afford anything I would ask you this; What exactly do they 'need' to spend credits on anyway? and why could they not take slicing? Your arguments make no sense to me. Slicing will not (in its original form) unbalance the economy, on the contrary it will keep it moving. People will sell mods and other crafted items and make profits. While people that hate crafting, can play and have fun, and still dump heaps of credits on the people that like crafting. Not seeing the downside here. The proof is in the pudding. People are not buying off the Auction House nearly as much as they used to. Why you ask? because people can not spend money they do not have.
  6. yet useless, because anyone can do it and make cash instead of spending RW money on it. Also, it made actually crafting worth while because I WOULD spend money on others peoples stuff. Now I won't, it's not worth it at all now. Horde credits! that's the new battle cry.
  7. well you are entitled to your opinion, but I have played more than one game where the currency was a grind to get and guess what? people aren't going to do it. And you're a fool if you think otherwise. This will only invite bots/farmers/gold sellers into the game. Already people are not spending, which negates your entire argument. So nice try, but you are dead wrong here.
  8. This isn't wow...and contrary to your belief not everyone played wow. This question is so impertinent it's not even funny.
  9. Well put, very well put. Crafting is broken...and with all that test time.
  10. Sadly this seems to be taken straight out of the "how to manage your MMO to failure" hand book. I should not say failure, this game is obviously not that, but they have some systems that are flawed beyond what they should be considering the enormous amount of testing that went in to this game. The more I play this game, the more I want to cancel my subscription. Its essentially one long linear grind fest, that gives all the appearances of being poorly administered by people that think they are doing their clients a favor by making their product.
  11. Nope. Saving all my credits. I used to buy things, but I hate crafting, and refuse to participate in that time sink. Besides now it is pointless to me. Crafted gear is only marginally better than drops/quest rewards so I will make do with that. On a side note, it's a pretty heroic feeling running around in multi-color armor, or standing at a crafting station all day. I remember a dev saying they wanted players to feel like heroes from the start. Fail. I could go on with this theme, but it would be pointless.
  12. No it isn't clear. It is very difficult to figure out what you are talking about. Your typing is bad, your syntax is worse. If you want to make a point learn those two things and then do it intelligently. Either way, you are off topic so stop posting in this thread.
