  1. Mob mentality. The more people the worse, imo. I've seen some great games out there, where the general mob or "who cares" mentality is just not accepted or is ignored. I've also been on a server where chat is sooo busy, that the "trolls" just can't get a word in edgewise, so that's pretty cool too. Not an excuse, in fact, I ignore many that cross the line too far for me. I also go, hey not cool. i.e. a **** is ok discussion in chat. I couldn't believe that one for sure...and how 3 people where going on like it was ok, just testing the chat waters. There shouldn't even be a need to go there.
  2. lol this. Unfortunately, the "forum" behavior is nothing new. YOu see it on Rift forums, on WOW forums, on Reddit, etc etc etc. People when frustrated want to vent. This is the place to do it. It's how we do it that's often hard to look past.
  3. I have strong bonds with friends in WoW myself. I've been a player for 6 years, and have played with this particular group for 4. LFG didn't break us, didn't cause harm. In addition, we use the RealId to keep in touch off and on over the years. We use LFD as a tool. We use it to fill our groups, to go solo, go as a group. It hasn't harmed, it's just a tool. Depends on how you use it.
  4. I think I saw them say that they are looking into this for the future. It doesn't seem to be a wide driver for a lot of gamers, but there is some interest. For me, I wont use it. I don't need everyone on my social group to see what I'm doing in game.
  5. I'm fine overall with the game. My largest concern is the ability to get groups at max level. Standing in fleet watching general chat isn't my idea of a good time. I know that it's also guild dependent. On my server, it seems like there is still a lot of small guilds that have leveling spreads pretty wide, so there is some of that too. I'm hoping things will shape up real nicely in the next 20 - 30 days.
  6. I spot heal people as I run by if I see them in trouble. If they are not or seem to be handling things just fine, I dont. I remember distinctly helping this guy finish a boss during a long questline, healed him and help dps the elite. He thanked me and hung around. At the time, I couldn't figure why he would hang around unless to just be nice...until I pulled that boss. Holy heck what a fight. I very much appreciated him sticking around for me. There are good players out there, I generally dont much that much of a fuss over thank yous or such, unless they really are deserved.
  7. seems pretty random. Sometimes it's 1, 2, 5 times or such before I get a pattern. I'm not max level, so haven't bothered REing the blues, much. Doesn't seem worth it.
  8. That's a really good idea...would help with the botting issue.
  9. I know of at least 2 friends that have dropped their max leveled crafting professions and leveled up Biochem at 50. Why? Because the reusable BOP stims & etc are just THAT good. The other professions at max level just dont have the same benefit. That's telling. For the Min/Maxers out there, Biochem seems to be the way to go.
  10. Please try another class. It seems like in the mid teens is where you really get into the meat of the class. I am leveling a BH, and wondering - do I want to heal with her? Not sure I like the healing style (she's lvl 17) but love the dps. I've seen lots of people who think they like one class about the mid teens, drop it and try a different one. Enjoying themselves more.
  11. Loading after a WF has a chance of giving me chat errors. yuck. Anyway - the larger the planet, the longer the load time for me. Hoth is the worst so far.
  12. It hasn't been addressed. Think people are more interested in server changes atm.
  13. DK (level 10 - 17) planet has become the new barrens chat. Can you imagine it server wide? It would be horrible.
  14. I'm level 41, with a level 17 alt. I've been enjoying myself so far. However, the growing concern that I have is the ease to get "epic" gear at 50. One guyin our guild got 3 pieces of epic gear out of bags by day 2 of being level 50. My BF is 50, and completed epic'd out in HM & pvp gear. Now he's not a casual gamer, but he was able to do all of that in days. He got to the point of saying, Ok i'm done with Synthweave since it's no longer of any use for me, I'll redo another crafting for "end game". PvP is starting to get harder in the WFs for people leveling because you have the epic 50s coming in and creaming people. While it's fun for a bit to just watch, it's a little frustrating. So - is it really that easy to get max gear? Will the end game be achievable in such a short amount of time? What next then? I'm not so worried about, I'm concerned about the health of the game overall. It needs to grow, and it will only grow if people have things to work towards - at end game.
