  1. Thanks for replies everyone. Sounds like i should just do dailys to get those couple upgrades while going back and getting familiar with the flashpoints. I have a couple friends I'm waiting to get to 50 as well anyways.
  2. Hello, So i just had a couple questions so i don't end up hated and blacklisted on my server. I just hit lvl 50 and have been doing dailies to try and gear up my implants and ear pieces (600 dailys total i think). Im a Inq specced for healing. On my way to lvl 50, i pretty much did the solo content to 50 (no flashpoints, no Heroic 4s really). I've been subbed to 5 or 6 different MMOs so i know how to work in a group dynamic and how to heal so not too worried about it. I also use the keyboard mostly for healing in groups in the past (not a ability clicker while in groups). Thats some background. Not a complete noob when grouping, but not your raid member that has been raiding every week for the last 5 years. I didnt mean to level to 50 solo, but doing the planet quests on rested xp leveled me up fast and was at least a little challenging (going to planets 2 levels below the suggested level range). My questions really are: Am i going to be under geared if i try to group up to do a HM flashpoint? I think ill go back and solo the flashpoints with my companion so Im at least familiar with the layout. My fear is being undergeared.... doing a crappy healing job cause my gear isnt allowing for enough bonus healing, crits etc. etc. and getting hated on by my server and ignored by people lol. Def dont want that cause of a rookie mistake. Should i stick the course and not try the HM flashpoints until i get those daily com. upgrades? Or can i heal just fine in the mostly lvl 47+ blue/purps/oranges i currently have?
  3. You should just fly around to the different lowbie planets annoying the noobs about how you used to be a Jedi, until you took a blaster to the knee.
  4. Truth. I normally get the CE version of the software i buy, but something about SWTOR didn't quite sit right with me for the price they wanted. Glad I've already learned my CE lesson before and just got the Standard Digital edition so i could play early.
  5. This. I have no problem with them fixing stuff. But come on, a patch to fix the patch? That's just garbage testing. Delay the weekly maint. a day or so or until the patch is ready rather than take the servers down twice. Good thing a Dance with Dragons is just as good at filling my spare time.
  6. Wow so glad that I have not once had TOR crash on me or cause any problems. Running Win 7/64 too. I did have to put in the AA line of code in though. Once I did that game runs smooth other than fleet so no complaints here. Also happy that Infinite Empire seems to have ok population. Bioware really should merge the low servers though. Really don't understand most of the ************ on these forums. MMOs are pretty much always in a beta state, if people so choose to reach the level cap so soon after release, that's their problem and are the minority. I play a lot and am only lvl 43. Keep up good work Bioware this subscriber is happy.
  7. Im staying. I dont have a choice the website wouldn't accept any card i tried to put in so had to buy a 60 day game card to play the game. I would have stayed anyways. I'm willing to give any MMO devs a chance to put out their game and then see where they are gonna go with it. How they respond to bugs, what new content lands first 3-4 months. SWTOR for me is a good enough game to keep me around until then. A lot of people probably activated on Christmas as well which would have expired yesterday. Do i see myself playing long term... probably not. Let's face it... most of us jumping from MMO to MMO are just killing time until Titan comes out. I really don't expect any other MMO to change the landscape that much, and have a fan population large enough to sustain the game even when *gasp* Blizzard's Titan inevitably launches with issues. Plus Blizzard is normally pretty good at their craft. Pretty much all the MMOs releasing are 80 percent same as everything else, 20 percent new ideas. There is nothing else really to do with the current generation of MMO. Need a new idea like an FPS MMO where instances are different types of battles. Until then though or Diablo 3, I will stay with SWTOR.
  8. Just makes the game realistic. A Sith Sorc should be owning everyone. What kind of self respecting Sith gets taken out by some lame bounty hunter.
  9. I really could careless. The only thing i care about is if it keeps people happy and paying subs so the changes I want to see included have funding and get worked on. I can't really see how anyone would be against this unless it was a group decision in a flashpoint. If it's not, it doesnt even effect you. If you don't want the same sex content, don't choose those chat options. It's quite simple and pretty damn selfish for people to say it shouldn't be included. However, if it came down to working on same sex relationships and say working on ability delay and other crucial elements, Id def hope SS stuff is put on the back burner. Yes i realize there are different departments working on all the aspects of this game, but ability delay is more a coding problem than a bug fix i would think. And the coders have to code all the SS stuff in the game. That's the only argument that makes sense against SS content and I'm sure is how Bioware is handling the release of this content and all their planned content for that matter. But even then that issue, if it even exists, would just be a delay in release. *Note* Will not explore the SS content when put in game and really have no desire to. But that's my choice and in a RP game i would be shocked if Bioware doesn't put this in.
  10. Has nothing to do with Fanboys. Even if you hate this game 0 out of 10? Come on. Really awful games like Superman 64 don't even deserve a 0 out of 10. So yeah, he is right. People rating 0 of 10 is just blind hate. I could see someone not liking this game giving maybe a 4-5 out of 10 but that's minimum. Or maybe my 0-10 scale is different from others. Id score a 0 out of 10 to a game i couldn't get to work after install. Anyways, people that base what they like and don't like on other peoples opinions and ratings are a waste of time anyways. Think and try things for yourselves. *edit* If you want to make your criticisms of the game heard, why don't people do it in a responsible manner. Rather than scoring a 0 out of 10 and saying game sucks I'm canceling, people score with logic and explain what they didn't like and what they think could have made it better. You know... logical arguments with thought involved?
  11. I upgraded to 600w and 560ti for skyrim and after i put in the AA = 12 code to the .ini I'm running pretty much flawless other than imperial fleet. And it's not too much of a drop off there but def not smooth like the rest of the time.
  12. Hmm, I just run in and get the node or quest item first then fight. Played way too many MMOs to fall for that crap still.
  13. SOOOOOOO true. Everytime he whines about hoping i dont deactivate him when i get on the ship, i just want the dialog choices to pop up and Shock Him, Throw out Hangar door, Short Circuit, Some sort of dialog option to leave him a scrap heap.
  14. While i agree with the review, it's rather pointless to take any critics view on something. After all, it is just one person with one set of circumstances that have formed their opinions. Unless you have followed the same people for a long time and know their tastes are very similar to your own, only way to know is to try it out yourself.
  15. Um maybe because it's not Christmas Break and the Holidays anymore? So most of us are back to earning a living and checking the forums at work. I bet they have seen an increase on the forums.
  16. So glad people on the forums are only 10 percent of the people playing the game. I was completely surprised that space combat was included (admittedly didn't follow the dev of this game that much and didnt get to lvl 15 during beta) and happy to play it. Great change of pace from normal MMO stuff. *Edit* if they flesh it out during the on going production of this game, even better
  17. Through Lvl 21 on Infinite Empire i have had 0 trouble finding groups for Heroics. Havent really seen people LFGing for the Flashpoint at that level though. Heroics though are easy to find a group. Every couple mins someone is putting a group together from my experience on my server.
  18. Am i missing something here? Why should my Sith be able to shoot lightning out of his hands and swing a light saber at the same time? Shouldn't my character have to finish doing one thing before doing another? Seriously, not sarcasm honestly confused. *Edit* And when the animation of me shooting lightning is done, wouldn't the cool down start?
  19. Man WoW was a train wreck at launch. Super long Ques, Constant server crashes, maintenance. WoW didn't even have battlegrounds implemented in the game when it launched. So I'm def willing to see what Bioware does between now and their first expansion.
  20. The lack of communication is troubling. I couldn't set up my subscription because the website is bugged and wouldn't take 9 different credit/debit cards from 4 different people, 1 of which already being validated by Bioware and working on their account. I had to BUY a 60 day game card to access my FREE 30 days. After 4 service tickets and 4 generic replies by Droids basically calling me retarded and posting the Steps on how to activate your account.... Someone from Bioware FINALLY responded with an actual answer that helped. Admitted they know there is a problem, it's not my card like the stupid droids were saying and they are working on it. I was satisfied and replied back that i know it's a popular game at launch and expected problems. Thanks for the answer. Why they can't do more things like this blows my mind. It actually makes the customer think you care.
  21. I can understand what you are saying, but this caterers to the MMO players like myself who don't want to group with people really to do the simple PvE quests. Last night I got an open world purple drop and two blues. I think in the 2 years playing Wow that almost matches my world drop total. Call me selfish but i dont like rolling on that stuff and splitting the credits. I think the way they have it set up is great. Mostly solo, but also having the flashpoints and Heroic quests. And giving us decent companion characters so i don't have to wait on a healer, or tank to do the simple PvE quests is also great. There are a wide variety of MMOs out there, if you don't like a story driven one..... Can I's has your stuffs?
  22. The Nvidia users have you tried adding the AA line of code to the .ini file?
  23. Really sucks that people are missing the real issue here. The site is bugged and wont accept some peoples card no matter if they try 100 different accounts. That's the real problem here. What about those people you are pretty much forcing to buy a game card to play. I don't get my trial time now because whether i like the game or not, i have paid for 85 days. It's stupid and unfair really.
  24. What if the problem is the site is bugged and wont accept your debit card, or 3 other cards. No matter what Card i put in to try and subscribe, the website wont take it. This is screwing their players and they know about this issue. Quite a few people are having it. If you gonna force people to Subscribe, at least make sure everyone can subscribe.
