  1. Thank you for posting the bold I seriously expect nothing less out of a "joined Dec 2011" person. Honestly, you guys can't hide it. The biased for WoW is dripping like a 14 year old with braces that drools in his sleep. We all get it. "RAWR RAWR RAWR I like WoW therefor everyone must like it". It doesn't work like that man. Different people are different. I grew up standing in line to watch Episode 4, 5 and 6. I loved Star Wars as a kid and still do. The fact they made a game that I can be apart of the SW universe is great "to me". To compare Humans versus Orcs and a very heavy hand at "we'll change the lore despite all the books we have written" type mentality against a pretty static lore taken place in space with advanced tech etc etc is simply asinine. To argue or debate any further beyond that is pointless. Go back to what you enjoy. It's your money, spend it on what you enjoy playing (not posting, but playing).
  2. I hear ya and I agree. For whatever reason people are trying to hide behind this "well I am trying to help the game" attitude while attempting to rip the very basis of it apart. Which in turn makes zero sense to me outside of a spoiled little kid that got their candy but didn't get every flavor on the shelve.
  3. Really? I didn't realize that I group with my wife and my guildies on a nightly basis. Thanks for enlightening me it was all in my head. Oh ya, and I forgot there are soloable (same level) heroic 2 and 4 man quests throughout every zone. Oh ya and flashpoints... But your right, it's nothing but a glorified single player game.
  4. Ya, something is missing here. Perhaps the actual reason or the OP is simply lying.
  5. Get a better ISP or computer? I run 35 ms on my heavily populated server and on my 4+ year old machine. Don't know what to tell you if you lag.
  6. Nope the fact that I am deeply involved in my characters story is. The fact that Tattoine is frigen huge and I am able to explore every planet I go to in depth is. The bonus side missions be it during questing, in space or on the fleet (aka flashpoint dailies) is. The effort I put forth into upgrading both my space ship and speeder skill/bike is. All this and more while it buys some time for BW to implement more end game content. In other words I am enjoying the journey to level 50. When I hit level 50 (I'm 27 by the way) there will be plenty of endgame content for me to keep busy with until more content gets released. To put my hands over my head, rush to 50 while ignoring the very fabric of how the game was created, get to 50 and cry "whoa is me and the sky is falling" is beyond my comprehension at this point.
  7. I have Scavenging, Slicing and Treasure hunting. With 2 companions constantly out (unless I need my main, then it's one) I have no monetary issues at all. This is despite the slicing nerf as well as a 17k screw up (aka miss click due to a poorly timed cough and my hand on my mouse while in the AH) I was still able to afford my speeder at 25. I started slicing after the nerf by the way. Also, I gave the wife 10k last night and furthermore bought another 18k off of the AH and still have 23k ( I believe ) in my bank. I am only a level 27. Didn't mean to get long winded but those 3 gathering skills seem to work pretty good. With treasure hunting and scavenging list what you get from those quests on the AH once you get to level 2 and above stuff. Good luck to ya.
  8. HAHA wear your blinders much? People were all over the fact they could ride their shiny new pony despite the "reimbursements". I sincerely hope you're being sarcastic when you stated the bold.
  9. Just because WoW released 43 Zones the size of Maryland doesn't mean that it had more to explore. hhmm indeed. EDIT: And people are being too nostalgic when it comes to WoW. Anyone recall the week long server take downs? Constant kick outs etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc..... etc..........
  10. Nice, thanks for posting about the single core. Had someone else trying to blame bioware of their engine and that "his wife's" computer couldn't run it on a 3.4 quad core.... Hope you get the system upgraded soon. Cya back in game mang.
  11. Then I hear BF3 is a great PVP game with no story. Your welcome. Also there is no PVP content, it is simply Player versus Player. Give me an example of "PVP content" and not PVP "options" and you may have had a gripe.
  12. By all means no. What the OP is trying to convey I think is that Bioware put 400+ hours of story for each class. In turn that breaks down to roughly 2 and a half months of standard working (IE 40 hour weeks- 8 hours a day for 5 days a week) yet people have blown through it in 14 days (official release date). Nice way to try to dumb it down and over exaggerate though. EDIT: On topic I am a level 27 at the moment. I play about 4 hours a night. Really enjoying the BH story line.
  13. Well then explain to me on how I can build from scratch 2 computers for roughly $1,000, both of which are extremely dated (again 4+ years old, remember 9800GT and 9600 Nvidia's) and we are both able to run the game just fine. I wouldn't be posting here if I was lying now would I (pretty stupid of me to buy a game I can't run on either machine now isn't it)? So, the problem isn't their engine obviously. There is something missing in your equation on your end.
  14. Not really. It has a lot of what every other MMO has since Blizzard launched theirs in 2004. That is a lot of recently joined people in the forums bashing a new MMO into the ground over petty things. Seriously, I would love to know how much Blizz budgets to a department to research and bash, up and coming MMO's. Because I seriously fail to believe that there are that many actual people that join the month an MMO is released just to bash it and tells lies to try to prove points. In regards to the quote. 14 days after it's released officially and you have completed roughly 400 hours of story for your character. To put that into prospective an average U.S. work week is 40 hours, that's 8 hours a day 5 days a week, which in turn puts that at 160 hours for a month. You have completed 400 hours, so by all rights almost 2 and a half months of work in just about 2 weeks. Well, that is unless you rushed to 50 and well, nothing more to say than "what did you expect"? EDIT: Anyone else looking forward to the first 30 days being over? I mean I am all for threads like these so long as they keep paying their subs. lol
  15. OP, you need to be specific in what your wife is running. Me and my wife are both on computers that are 4+ years old and we run the game just fine. Being 100% honest. We are running just above minimum specs and haven't touched a thing in regards to shadows, textures or anything in the video category. To put it simple we are running (me) 2.4 dual core AMD, 2 gigs of memory and a 9800GT Nvidia. She is running a dual core 2.2 AMD 2 gigs memory and a 9600 Nvidia. Nothing special and certainly dated. Outside of that "IF" she has a better system than those, perhaps she may need to wipe the system and start from scratch. I found that when my system runs pretty bad a good ole format of the hard drive tends to revive it a bit. The italic is my humble opinion and nothing more. It helps me and my wife when our systems slow down or have problems that are outside the normal scope. In any regards I wish you luck and hope you get it sorted. EDIT: I will say I run about 30+ FPS at any given time. Minus heavy flow areas that need to load IE the imperial fleet. Once fully loaded, back up to 30+. So I guess I fail to see how it can be their engine when in fact my "computers" are older than your wife's and run it just fine. Not to mention we are on a very highly populated server.
  16. Sorry, but you are mistaken. Ever see the signs "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone"? There is a reason and that reason is, the consumer is not always right. Just saying.
