  1. Interestingly enough, something similar to this happened to me in the original EverQuest waaaaay back in the day. I was playing a Mage and my good friend was playing an Enchanter. We were dueling to pass the time and he had the bright idea to Charm my earth elemental. It of course did not work. It did however apply the ability to the pet. When it wore off, the elemental completely broke free of player control and went berserk on anyone who went near it. It killed 3 Rogues, 2 Bards, 4 Warriors, a Druid, a Shaman, 6 Necromancers, and a Cleric before a high level finally put it down. Morale of the story: This isn't that far fetched.
  2. I've only done preliminary pricing so far, but I sold Desh for 10 credits each and Silica for 15 credits each. (FUN FACT: Silica sells to vendors for a pretty high price). Terenthium I'm testing at about 30 to 50 credits per. So a stack of 10 would be priced at 300-500 depending on which part of the spectrum I'm testing.
  3. If I remember right, that particular spot is made for a group of 4 people, not to solo.
  4. Here's the thing: BioWare initially made a few Flashpoints for the game and put good story and conversation elements in them: Esseles, Black Talon, Tarval V (also known as Jedi Prisoner), etc... Then people clamored for more Flashpoints because some people just like to dungeon grind. This is where Flashpoints like Hammer Station, Athiss, and Mandalorian Raiders come into play. They are built to be light on talking as they were built to fill the gaps between Flashpoints. This does not make them lesser Flashpoints, but after being spoiled by Esseles/Black Talon I can see the concern. Just be aware there are more later with a lot of story.
  5. This isn't a flashpoint, this is a [Heroic 4] quest. There is a difference.
  6. No, you still have to pay for the skill. You just don't have to pay for a mount unless you want a different one.
  7. You are also still paying the same amount as people who buy it after the 20th.
  8. I don't classify myself as a defender of BioWare. More of a defender of proper language usage. If you can speak the language you should be able to read it. If you can read it then this whole thing shouldn't be an issue. If you can't read it then you should find someone with the ability to read it for you then this whole thing shouldn't be an issue.
  9. Are you sure about that?
  10. No, there have been no rewards. Which is fine.
  11. How about you are still getting 4 days of access instead of the 1 day most people who preordered in December thought they were going to get? Still seems like a win to me.
  12. In EverQuest I sat, facing a wall, with my spellbook open, only casting one or two healing spells every now and again, for hours at a time. THIS is not broken. THIS is a god send compared to that.
  13. I believe this sums it up: http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/skydivers-iphone-4-survives-13500-foot-drop-20110718/
  14. Just as in ye olde days of preordering, you did it so that on the break of day on the 20th of December you are able to visit a merchant of games and acquire the intended item without it being "Sold Out".
  15. I'm willing to bet that's because a lot of us are not at home to actually play. I'd like to be though.
