  1. Obviously I haven't seen the numbers but I still believe that you need to address some other issues: Sentinel Survivability is unbalanced - Guarded by the force and Force camouflage give them a huge advantage in PVP over any other classes. GS defensive CDs just dont match up (although defence screen changes may change this). I should also point out that Guarded by the force is somewhat hard to spot, its power suggests that it should be more visual to allow enemies to respond accordingly. Sorcerer healing is still indispensable to any other class - In a raid revivification will hit everyone for a large amount of healing, Recuperative nano and Kolto bomb have sever targeting issues. (A good example of this issue in play is Annihilator droid XRR-3 group up and SOA platform decent.) On top of this Merc healers are still underpowered, their aoe heal just isnt up to par. The small increase to healing received and armour buff doesn't justify the low healing amount. Oh and thanx for ruining my fun by making tanking easier, now I wont get to fight the dps for supremacy.
  2. Well the servers are down and I have very little else to do atm so here is a list of some of the things I think could vastly improve the game. First a couple of small things. 1. Fix the Twi'lek hood issue - Let lekku wrap round the front or even maybe remove them altogether if hood is enabled. It can be done, the hoods just need to be resized to fit their heads like this 2. Spice up social areas - The fleets are incredibly bland and dont promote social interaction, Creating a neutral social zone on Nar Shadaa where one could play pazaak or something would be interesting. 3. Server Merges and Character Transfers - Obviously this has been mentioned hundreds of times but this needs to happen soon. I would suggest allowing unlimited transfers to very specific servers, this would allow you to selectively fill up the medium load servers. I would personally only use server merges as a last resort. 2 new class ideas: 1. Jedi Emissary, Sith Diplomat. This Class are users of Teräs Käsi (look it up on wookiepedia), the so called Ironfist Force style. Advanced Class 1 - Short range Melee - Weapon: Battlegloves(possibly clawed) and Focus. Can spec for Tanking, DD and Debuff. This Advanced Class's Primary advantage is their abundance of AOE short range skills, they also have increased mobility and good survivability. Advanced Class 2 - Mid Range Melee-Ranged Hybrid - Weapon: Battlegloves, Mid-Range Gun. Can spec for Prot, Healing and Debuff, this advance class is particularly effective in a supporting role. It has sufficient skills to take mobs down solo but shines in a team. Their stories: Jedi Emissary - It has been foreseen that your resolve will bring balance to many in the universe, The jedi plan to use you as their representative to newly found force-sensitive's. Sith Diplomat - You have recently graduated from Korriban under your new master [insert name here], you have been tasked with locating several volatile groups and converting them to be exploited by the empire. Not all groups are cooperative and as Sith you must convert them by any means necessary. 2. Republic Naturalist, Imperial Technician This class can summon and utilize pets. Advanced Class 1 - Mid range Melee - Weapon: Vibrosword, Stealthbelt Can spec DPS, DPS2, support pet. This AC makes use of stealth much like operatives do to dish out massive dmg, with their pet they are very effective dps. Advanced Class 2 - Mid range Ranged - Weapon of choice - Crossbow for republic, not sure for Empire. This class can spec for Pet DPS, Hybrid DPS, Pet Support. This advanced class relies on their pet for all aspects of gameplay. Their pets are far more effective than the other AC. Their stories: Republic Naturalist - You have spend many years studying the wildlife of Ord Mantel, when you are called urgently to correscant you discover that the dark side has begun to taint creatures. You have been tasked to discover the origin of this effect . Imperial Technician - While on a routine maintenance run for a satellite in orbit around hutta your ship is contacted by a strange incomprehensible voice on the planets surface. It turns out to be an ancient droid intelligence which offers to guide you the holy grail of ancient technology. Endgame Capital Ships: Guild Capital Ships The is basically a way to extent the endgame experience and increase guild functionality, it is based around a couple of core concepts which I will describe below 1. Crew Skills 4 New Crew skills are added in the game, these are considered artefact level crew skills and can only be used by players at lvl 50 with 400/400/400. When a guild leader attains the requirements he can allocate these crew skills to guild members who meet the requirements (this means only 4 players in a guild will have these). Additionally these crew skills are capped at 1000 and are much harder to level. Architecture - Used in the building of Capital ships, ship upgrades etc. Recruiting - Used in the staffing of Capital ships, this includes droids. Mechanics - Used in the creation of defences and offences such as turrets, shields etc Treasurer - Used in the management of guild assets, taxes, resources. A guild can make a capital ship (it isnt cheap or easy), in order for these to function the guild should have at least 1 member with each crew skill above. Each and every crew skills brings something unique to the table, usually observable within the capital ship (e.g. staff recruiting yields a more populated ship). 2. Assets and Bounty For each upgrade, staff member, defence etc bought by the guild your assets increase. Guilds are ranked based on assets which effect your bonuses and Bounty. The treasurer manages your assets. Bounty increases based on your Asset count and is visible to everyone of the opposite faction, they can also add to it manually. 3. Ship Raiding & PVP As you can gain assets they can also be destroyed by other players, coordinated raids can take place of capital ships to lower another guilds leader-board ranking. Guild members are expected to defend during these raids. Thats the idea, obviously its not fully refined but I am just pitching the base of a gameplay element, not the entire thing. Some problems exist with it that can be resolved easily: 1. Guilds may attack much weaker ones to prevent them developing - Raiding is ranked to prevent this from happening. 2. Guilds may attack others when their members are AFK or offline - Your capital ship has powerful shields that can repel attacks for long periods of time, unfortunately a flaw with this technology is that every so often they must be brought down for charging. This information is displayed on the leaderboards as well as the guild roster, upgrades can be made by mechanics to increase the uptime of the shields. Those are my ideas, Im interested to see what people say about them
  3. Hmm I posted this is another thread but it got closed because this thread is supposedly the main race suggestion thread. Anyway me and one of my mates where talking about the other day and Heres the list of races, first part are the likely future races, the second are the less likely ones. These races speak Basic and fit the humanoid form, apart from head. 1. Togratu (Master Kiwiks is one) 2. Cathar (The cat guys) 3. Nautolan (similar to twi'lek but with big black eyes and more head-tentacles. 4. Kaalesh (Xalek is one) 5. Devaronian (red guys with horns) 6. Evocii (primitives from Hutta) 7. Chagrian (Sargent rusk is one) 8. Iktotchi (Not currently present in TOR) 9. Voss 10. Weequay 11. Mon Calamari 12. Cerean (not currently present in TOR) These races fit fit the humanoid model but dont speak basic. Some speak basic but dont fit the current voices. 1. Wookie 2. Duros 3. Ithorian (the dudes with 2 mouths) 4. Trandoshan (Qyzen Fess is one) 5. Selcath 6. Bith (cantina band) 7. Sullustan (the monkey looking guys) 8. Gran 9. Gungan 10. Kel dor (Master Tol Braga is one) 11. Rodian Hope you guys find this stuff usefull or can add more to it.
  4. I fixed that little error u pointed out. FYI if SWTOR follows the WoW formula "Mists of Naboo" with be released in about 8 years time.
  5. Consider the 2 limitations to most races. 1. Most cant speak basic, makes dialogue impossible. 2. Non-Humanoid, makes showing armour difficult. With that in mind your options basically are: (forgive me if I spell them incorrectly) 1. Kel dor (although all sound muffled and wouldn't fit the current voices.) (Master Toll Braga is one) 10. Voss Those are all easily feasible races which I would expect to see in the future, then you have the more unshapely aliens which still speak basic: 1. Mon Calamari 2. Gungan Then ofcourse the ones most people want, the coolest aliens that dont speak basic or arent quite humanoid. 1. Wookie 2. Duros 3. Ithorian (the dudes with 2 mouths) 4. Trandoshan (Qyzen Fess is one) 5. Selcath 6. Bith (cantina band) 7. Sullustan (the monkey looking guys) 8. Gran 9. Mentioning Jawas and the elephant dudes isnt even worth it, they are hardely even species.
  6. Apparently when i stick up for Bioware in threads I get forum warnings so this time I wont bother. What I will say however is that these forums need to be moderated more strictly. A thread on Reddit that applies equally if not more so here. Secondly Thank you Bioware for ignoring all the threats make by immature, overly dramatic players. If this feature isn't working I am much happier that you take your time to fix it. Although I heavily anticipated this feature the legacy system will keep me occupied while its brought up to standard, I guess I'll be rolling my Twi'lek Commando sooner then I thought. Keep up the good work
  7. Well congrats look like this year you beat Google. Although the Google one my fool more people this one is way funnier . Nothing satisfies SCORPIO, trust me iv tried -.-
  8. @RDeanOU Honestly Im not trying to be a smart or offensive. 2 people talking about switching skill animations - fact: Wasn't my point. Someone mentions giving Force kick a stun - fact: Also not my point. @AngelousWang tbh opportune strike backhand is pretty awesome though. Its really to bad Pummel and Opportune strikes are limited to PVE, they are both awesome anims which would fit knight class very well in PVP.
  9. I still think people are missing the point of my post. Interrupts: BH - Pistol whip Trooper - Hilt strike IA - Smoke grenade Smuggler - Ball kick Inquisitor - Small shock Jedi knights interrupt doesn't fit it. Opportune strike is a backhand strike, perfect for an interrupt. Both the sounds and look for Force kick suggest heavy damage. Imagine BH rocket punch was their interrupt and quell was the damaging ability.
  10. Not strictly saying Force kick belongs on opportune strike skill. Although Opportune strike animation belongs on interrupt. Better suited replacing a skill that does high damage. Other interrupts dont match the energy of Force kick, seems weird.
  11. Almost at lvl 40 now on my Jedi knight and I noticed something strange. You Interrupt (Force Kick) has an awesomely overdone animation, it belongs on a more powerful skill. Your PVE skill Opportune Strike animation is much more suited for an interrupt. Any thoughts? Look at other classes (BH and trooper have a pistol whip, agent throws a small smoke grenade) With 1.2 Merc's are getting 2 animations switched so this isnt out of the question.
  12. ITT: Denial I would imagine at Bioware a design like this would have to go through several stages before implementation. You would have though in that time someone would have put their foot down. It shocks me to think that noone thought strongly enough about this to scrap it. So many brilliant concept artists and designers out there bioware, a quick search on deviant art will return better armour sets than this.
  13. People saying bioware should be paying more attention to those already paying and neglecting future trial. Why is it that all World of Warcraft players move to other games and then act like they are doing people a favour. They come here and make demands as if they are god of bioware. Had to deal with this same crap in Age of Conan. Bioware doesn't care about your worthless opinions and neither do I. Please Unsubscribe... that is all.
  14. Trying to keep up with posts in this thread but every time I go to next page there's another 2 pages of hate. Can someone recommend a more mature SWTOR forum?
  15. For a second I thought my client was broken when I logged out to switch servers and all of a sudden everything was showing up as offline. Then came to site, found nothing apart from server status that servers were all up. Was on the verge of making a ticket to find out why my launcher was bugged.. Im sure that this downtime is important but please make more of an attempt to make sure we know things like this. Patiently waiting and hoping that pushing out 1.2 early. P.S. For the love of god will all of you ******* stop banging on about WoW, Gw2 or whatever game you are threatening to go to. (the post above mine, case in point)
