I admit, I didn't craft in SWG(except lightsabers after grinding my way through the village), but I had immense respect for those who did - especially the ones who did it well.
Plus, the system of player-owned vendors made finding a good crafter something of an achievement as well.
Odd. I'm on a server whose pop is almost always listed as 'very heavy' at peak times, and slicing nodes makes up a large proportion of my income(and in large part the reason why my sentinel had about 850k before I trained all my skills at 50).
At any rate, scavenging nodes can be sold too, and are in effect free money.
Happened to me on a PvE server - one stealthed guy standing in the middle of a group of NPCs; add my mortar strike to that, and suddenly I'm getting Force lightning'ed.
Nice.
It does if the feature is claimed to be in 'most' mainstream MMO's.
THAT was what I took issue with; while I can't offer a definative answer, it would be my guess that more MMOs lack this option than offer it.
Because those devs who are working on the graphics engine can't simply be re-tasked to fix whatever issues are putting your panties in a bunch.
Those who work on the engine don;t know enough about other parts of the game to just be dropped into those teams. Doing that would, if anything, slow down the bug fixing by those teams as they struggled to get the new guys up to speed.
Being good does not give you facial alteration, but iof you notice, a male character with alignment light IV or better will get a chubby when a convo option earns you 150 ls points or more.
To be fair, I'm having trouble with the last quest in my class story.
Though that is because it forces me to use the companion I haven't given any new gear since about lvl 15.
If you think the subscription cost is high, then so are you.
And, talking as a currently out-of-work bum who has to count his pennies, I know what it's like to cut costs.
Qyzen Fess is a hunter, but by being captured alive, he lost all his Jagganath points. So giving him hunting trphies is kind of like saying "!hey, loser, look what other people hunted without getting captured like nubcakes".
Of course the objectives are similar.
What can you do, exactly?
Kill stuff. Interact with it(collect it, destroy it, switch it on, switch it off - all the same, really). Talk to it.
What else is there?
