  1. We had the benefit of two jedi sages in the group. We had them both jump off the ledge at the same time, and one of them force pulled the other. Only one will survive. But this was such an oversight on the part of the developers that I pretty much view end game as a joke at this point. If Bioware wants to retain a customer for any length of period past the free month, they need to ensure that they need to perform SOME amount of What-If? scenarios. For example, what if an operations group needs to proceed down a long shaft during a boss fight, and end up killing the boss but wiping themselves? How do they get DOWN? In the end we ran into the same scenario as the OP, and the boss' body disappeared in the time it took us to figure out how to get down on our own.
  2. While I understand the devs have a lot on their plate, having something like a day and night cycle to add to the immersion makes the game a lot more enjoyable. Please add this bioware.
  3. I agree with the op. The responsiveness could use a lot more work. Please fix this bioware.
  4. For me the annoyance comes from having participated in beta and reporting bugs only to still experience them come launch. While I understand that it takes time to find bugs and correct them, and also some bugs are just difficult to fix ... It just seems like the whole beta has felt like nothing but a glorified marketing ploy. Not an honest to goodness beta. I also understand the rationale behind churning out end game content, but without a more convenient dungeon finder system, what's the point? And operations? The game is only (at most) 11 days old. How many 50s are out there? I hope bioware knows what it's doing.
  5. Positives 1) I enjoy the cutscenes / personalized story style questing. 2) star wars intellectual property. 3) combat flow for jedi knight is 2/5 stars. 4) companion dps / crafting roles. 5) can pvp or do space missions if tired of leveling / story quest. Negatives. 1) The swtor community. Lots of rabid fanboys who don't want to improve upon the game. 2) classes are imbalances in terms of pve and pvp. 3) companions sometimes don't make me feel like a hero; makes me feel reliant on them and weak. 4) no mods / combat log / customizable UI 5) storyline can be cliche and feels weak in some areas. Also, side quests are almost indirectly required to level enough to do main class.

I would like to see a combat log in conjunction with mods that allow real time parsing. I would like to see how well I do vs other people, and where I can optimize my rotation or talents.
  7. Macros and mods are nice tools to have. Fact of the matter is that they're coming. It's inevitable if bioware wants to commit to their plan of churning out end game content or raids. Since bioware intends for this game to stay alive for a decent amount of time, you will most assuredly see them in the next patch or two. So for the people who are so anti mods and macros, if you hate the idea so much and feel reviled by the prospect, perhaps you should take your own suggestions that you so eagerly dish out to anyone who thinks differently than you. That is to say, perhaps you should stop playing swtor and go back to whatever game you played before.
  8. I find that a majority tend to be repeatable quests, so I find little reason in completing them. I mean, ill join at the first chance for a group, but I don't go out of my way to get them done. I can always outlevel the quest and return later to finish them solo.
  9. Well, to be fair, it's probably not accurate for you to claim to be good if you're stuck at 40, with difficulty progressing, and going on the forums to make complaints about your situation. It doesn't strike me as "pro"
  10. I tried Varis in the weekend beta, and found him difficult to kill. I tried him again a few days ago and found him easier, after realizing what my issue was. If you want to beat him, here are some tips. First, try to out level him. Try to at least be equal level. Level affects your defenses when fighting an enemy. The higher the level you are, the more likely you'll parry, dodge, etc. If you're under level, you're at a greater disadvantage. The more likely you'll eat swings. Second, remember to upgrade your gear. Your saber, especially. Try to fit it with a better hilt, as that UPS your damage. Same goes with Kira. Your armor should be fitted with up to date armoring mods appropriate for your level. Lastly, interrupt his abilities. Watch the bar above his portrait for him casting his skills. I can't remember which is more important to interrupt, but he seems to primarily two spells. Try to lock out the one you feel does more hurt to you. Use force kick.
  11. Yeah if you look at the dev tracker, look for the thread called memory leak issues on taris. Taris affects everyone. Not sure when it will get reaolved. But bioware is aware of it.
  12. Are you on taris by chance when you open the map?
