  1. Innovative, see i see that word but the lack of oh a few hundred features from other mmos and the word innovative just doesnt seem to go together. Voice over quest, cool. Limitations and instances not cool. Good game, but not innovative. We shall see in time, but realy TOR hasnt done much other mmo's have already done. 3 months to see the changes...hope it does get innovative.
  2. Only about 20 of these posts already. Should ban these monkies.
  3. No it wont lol. This game has many flaws and many people will still continue to bring them into the light. You think just because a few people will leave, many others dont have issues? LOL
  4. As an adult you should also understand MMO's went the way of kiddies. See MMO's use to be for the older generation until WOW transformed them into console style easy rpgs with tons of eye candy. Now you have a few thousand 8 yr olds with attitudes
  5. This would be an awesome game if it wasnt so limited in so many aspects of a MMO. Limits galore are killing my pleasure of this game. TO much instances all day yesterday i seen 3 people on my server and i was all over 2 planets. I cant describe it, just feels confined. But ill give it some time, im a huge sci-fi/SW fan.
  6. They do that to force you to buy emergency fleet passes, which is much faster to use than to go through all those steps. They limit this game so much but expand on the one thing they dont have to lol.
  7. My ignorance? Planetside was release may of 2003, SWG was released in June. Um how ignorant do you feel now?
  8. Oh and for the guy giving bad information, planetside came out several months before SWG. SO my vote for SWG being one of the best true mmo's still stands
  9. SWG came out in 2003 and OP clearly said since 2002. Soooooo..........
  10. SWG had the most features, dual classes, best crafting system, first space fighting, and so much more. I think SWG was one of the best mmo's before the NGE, and still not bad after. Player house, decorations awards, trophies, able to show them off crafting was awesome, nothing has ever come close dual spec, hell you could almost get two and a half in some cases vendor system instead of player auction houses creatures you could tame, ride, whatever damn it had more features than any mmo i have played to date. HUGE open world on multiple planets, lots of stuff to do even for a vet. My vote is SWG
  11. They need to make more mature mmo's for older generation. These kiddie games that started with WOW have destroyed true mmo's and brought along a bad community. Never seen so much BS in all my years gaming. Wish a game company would just make a MMO with tons of features and not worry about beating WOW, but just make a good game that isnt so limited.
  12. I just want to change factions and take the appropriate class for that faction. To many imperial players. I want to go republic. Just take my AI and sorc and switch me to republic and give me scoundrel and what ever equals sorc lol. Simple and easy. In my AI story line many were traitors, defectors, even my main had to go double agent. I like the idea. Honestly the factions are meaningless atm so why not. And there should be 3+ factions in SW, 2 is too limited for such a large genre.
  13. I didnt have any issues with lag or anything on high level graphics until about 2 patches ago. Then things on the fleet and in warzones because realy hard to play. I would run 15-20 warzones daily, but now i cant even get thru one. So its not my system since it worked before, even on low settings i dont see any difference at all. I run quad 4 3ghz, 6gb ddr3, 1gb redeon all drivers are up to date, so no its not my system if it worked fine earlier, now i dont even go near warzones and try to avoid fleet unless my inventory is loaded up with items to sell.
  14. go to pvp board or crafting board, full of both
  15. 99% of this community is one or the other. The other 1% who have an open mind and try to rationalise the issues are flamed or shot down by either the whiners or the fan boys. The 2 arent any different, they both troll and have closed minds. Their opinions are the only thing that matters. Dont believe, do some reading.
  16. As much times as they spent polishing this game, i want to know why so many bugs, exploits, broken quests, lack of a better crafting system, poor market search, a bad LFG interface, laggy warzones, and poor guild features made it into launch? And im not even a troll or a fan boy. Just a person who loves mmo's and sci-fi. But thats a lot of stuff for a year+ polishing.
  17. MMO genre has gone backwards. Most these so called mmo's are nothing more than console style rpgs now. Everything that made a true mmo is removed compared to older games. WOW killed mmo's and everyone is trying to copy them instead of going back to better style gaming. Target the kiddies and they think they will have a top game.
  18. Many people will give the game a few months. But personaly for my taste this game is to limiting even for a theme park game. But ill give it atleast 3 months. And people who pay 50-150 for something have the right to whine about something they dont like. Anyone that pays that kind of money and doesnt complain about issues is an idiot. Jesus you people crying about whiners are more annoying because you just go with the flow and nothing gets changed for the better. Just shut up and play right? Oh no one is to be allowed an opinion but you? I mean you dont have to give up your life to hang out on the forums to read every post and comment on them. Could just go play the game and ignore the ones that have issues with the game. Just saying
  19. "full walkthrough" and "short summary" shouldnt be in the same post Just saying
  20. Or they could just allow people to change faction, keep level, and pick a class once you join. Quest thing may be difficult to work out, but can always give you an equal or class mission on same planet as you were on the other side. Maybe i want to be a defector, in my IA story there are dozens that turn sides, even my character lol. Perhaps to hard for BW to do since they have you locked in pretty good.
  21. When SWTOR first launched i had great fps everywhere. Now i lag like crazy on fleet and in warzones. I cant even play warzones because its so bad. One second im shooting at someone, next im dead. People are zooming around back and forth, disaper then reapear. I hit buttons and nothing happend. Rest of game is great on high graphics, and i dont lag. I put my machine on low graphics for warzones and still lags like crazy. But didnt do it before the last series of patches so i know my machine is fine. I run a quad core with 8gb of mem and a good card. But this is getting sad. I heard its a bug, but why arent a lot of others suffering from this?
  22. Id switch to the republic if they allowed resources, items, and credit transfer to my characters. But i have invested to much time into the dark side to throw it all away to make a republic character. If we could use account bank type feature so i can pass me earnings and items on, then id would love to go to the light side. I didnt think the balance would be so bad, but i wont lose all my stuff because they insist on keeping everything seperated. And why cant the light side and dark side share areas in cities, space ports, etc. I think the limitations and seperations is a failure for any epic mmo.
  23. reusable items = removal of future sales and a hurting to the economy no decay = no replacement of armor and weapons = a hurting to the economy commedation, pvp, and other gear better than crafted = no point and a hurting to the economy You can not have a solid crafting system and an economy in a game where you have crafting but loot itema are better. You can not have a good market if people never buy items due to lack of decay and destruction. You can not have a good economy when commedation, pvp, and other items are better minus a few items. We need demand, supply, mass resources on market, and real crafting skills. "but crafters are so greedy i dont want to give them my money" why? You will sell resources to them at even a higher rate than you buy items. The more crafters you have the more competition which will lower prices. In SWG i wasa crafter for 7 years until i quit. I spent just as much out to combatants as i made due to the need for resources and items. Then i would make my items and charge a fair price around what other crafters were selling. At the end i ended up just supplying other crafters because i was making so much more in the long run. In TOR, everyone is/can be self-sufficient and doesnt need anyone. This will never work if you expect the economy to grow at all. Every mmo game ever to be released or change to a loot system has failed in this area. Simply put not all of us want to go out and kill stuff and blow things up, we want to craft and run a business. There is profit on both sides, but not if everything is a 1 time sale, or never needs repleaced. As in the real world, all companies would go under if it wasnt for wear and tear and the need for new items. But so many here are young, and have no clue about real economics. Just the sense they think they know how an economy should be. Yet i dont see TOR's picking up at all this month since the slice nerf
  24. so doesnt mean its not a good thing. And many dont have 5+ companions, some dont race to lvl 50, and some need the extra slot for crafting early game.
