  1. On Red Eclipse it wasn't even just fps issues, the server just seemed to die during the PVP event on Ilum the other day. Ping staying fine, but massive lag spikes for everyone.
  2. Considering the tooltip says "Instant", yes. All it would mean is you would have to watch out for the procs on the jugg/guards buff bar instead. If they have 4 shockwaves and the insta crit proc, then watch out, cus a smash is coming. If they did nerf Smash, they'd need to buff some of the other abilities really. Most of the damage comes from smash.
  3. This. Though if they did plan on nerfing Operatives instead of buffing the other two healers, I think they seriously need to tone down dps overall.
  4. You must have been playing with really bad "bads", because Focus/Rage isnt that amazing until level 40. You'd do even better if you went in one of the other trees until 40.
  5. You still have to earn the coms to buy it so I honestly don't see what the problem is.
  6. Erm what, the roots going through resolve issue has been complained about for months? You sure you only just started checking the forums recently?
  7. Bioware kind of forced peoples hands regarding the tanks. I roll hybrid if I tank on my Jugg just because full tank tree isn't that good for pvp. You don't lose a lot of survivability going hybrid, but you gain an whole lot more damage which is good for getting people off your healers. Tank gear doesn't help a great deal either. I don't go hybrid on healing chars though.
  8. As others have said, the issue is that healers and tanks kind of need each other. I used to tank in warzones all the time, but I just got a bit sick of feeling useless if there isn't an healer around to guard. You can still do protection, but you end up dying from it. I still respec to tank from time to time if I'm queuing with an healer, but for pugs it's dps. I find there is quite a few tanks around in PvP, just none of them go for protection. They try and DPS instead, and ultimately fail because they aren't specced for it. I honestly believe that's more saddening than the lack of tanks in a warzone. I'd take a DPS over a tank who doesn't tank.
  9. They really aren't capable of the same damage. First of all the procs for rail shot are much better on a pt. Both are instant, so uninterruptable. Both are tech(One of which is elemental which bypasses 90% of armour), so they aren't completely useless against tanks. Flame Burst gives a 100% chance to proc CGC, merc's proc equivalent, power shot, does not. We have more survivability? Maybe if the team isn't smart enough to see you at the back, sure. Once they spot you, Powertechs can much easier kite since their attacks are instant. Mercs on the other hand can't really kite. The person chasing us will catch up if we stop to try and get off a power shot or unload. Arsenal and Healing tree are even less mobile than that.
  10. As others have already said, most PvP tanks go hybrid. I have tried full immortal in PvP since 1.3 myself, and while you have excellent survivability, the loss of damage is too much. Even with fully augmented WH dps set you still hit pathetically bar maybe Ravage and Vicious Throw. Going hybrid gives a boost to your DPS, and not a great loss in survivability. Admittedly I mostly roll as Rage these days. I solo queue a lot and your more likely to lose a game due to lack of DPS than you are a lack of tanks. If you have a solid healer to queue with you can make an unstoppable team though.
  11. With how little damage the Jugg Immortal/Guard Defence tree does now, you may as well go full tank gear honestly. The benefit of the spec is that you pretty much are immortal with an healer, and tank gear is going to help with that more than DPS. I think tanks have more of a place in rated than they do in normal. In rated you know the people you're queuing with will more than make up for the damage you lose, however the same can't be said for the pugs in normal warzones.
  12. Vengeance. Rage has too much down time when it comes to pure 1v1 sustain thanks to Smash having a 12 second cooldown.
  13. It only increases the pool, it doesn't sort the role imbalance.
  14. Give free respecs. I would consider respeccing to tank if it didn't cost me to do so. I have the gear for it.
  15. The force charge + knockback stuck bug is still present on the other hand though. I had it happen earlier today. Other players knew better than to kill me, so I ended up having to just leave.
  16. They need to introduce dual spec already. You'd see more tanks/healers if that was in the game. I already have to respec quite a bit between PvP and PvE content, never mind having to do it daily for the LFG daily.
  17. Alright but not amazing. My first experience I was queuing with an healer, and we got put in a group with a tank who wasn't tank specced(fortunately he had good enough tank gear to make up for it to a certain extent). Second time I queued with two others, and it kept assigning me as the tank even though i'd unchecked it on the role list. Eventually I decided to just eat the respec costs and tank it. Other than that both runs went pretty smooth.

    Smash...lol

Only Mando/Merc healers are really difficult to burst down I'd say. That said, Vengeance is definitely better for 1v1. It has more sustain and survivability. However, warzones are usually group battles, with maybe a few 1v1's on the side, so Rage can really shine in them.
  19. Yeah, tank damage seems like it's been nerfed quite badly. Which is sad, because it couldn't really do that much damage to begin with. Even in PVP with full DPS gear, you weren't going to get near a skilled DPS class in terms of damage. The adrenal/relic nerf is disappointing for Rage too. I presume they'll change the relics into a passive power increase proc or something, but that's absolutely useless for a burst class. In most cases it'll proc while our smash is on cooldown. The 6% force damage is a nice change, but who knows whether it'll make up for the relic/adrenal change. :/
  20. I had it happen for the first time yesterday, ended up just having to leave the game. Does indeed need fixing, along with the bug where you can get stuck when someone knocks you back during charge/intercede. Both often mean you have to leave the game if a sorc isn't around to pull you or something.
  21. Only the new gear introduced in 1.2 has the set bonus assigned to the armouring. The battlemaster gear still has their set bonus assigned to the shell. Meaning, you'd lose the set bonus if you moved the BM gear mods into augmented gear.

    Guarding 101

I have to admit, one of my biggest annoyances in PVP is seeing tanks, tank specced, in tank gear and not really doing any protection or guarding. It's such a waste of a spot on your team, considering you aren't going to be doing any amazing damage as a tank in tank gear so protection, guarding etc is where you're going to really shine.
  23. I seem to have noticed it a lot more recently. I know it used to be an issue too, but it seemed to go away a bit after a few patches. Course I could have just been lucky during that time and not noticed it. It's especially obnoxious when it happens in the midst of an heated battle in PvP.
  24. I used it quite a bit when I was Immortal in PvP. It's useless as Rage in most cases though due to it's high rage cost, even if you take the talent.
