  1. When this game launched, the GTN was faction based and the only cross faction GTN was on NS. The economy was terrible and the cross faction GTN was hardly ever used. I seriously doubt this will happen. What's to stop someone getting something for dirt cheap Pub side and then mailing it to their alt Imp side, just to turn right around and sell it?
  2. It ends once you finish chapter one (there is a side quest after Alderaan).
  3. I like a lot of stuff mentioned above. Perhaps maybe even a 'Smoke Screen" ability for X amount of seconds which gives a 25% debuff to all enemy tech/force accuracy within an X meter range? I would even be willing to take the same debuff for OP sake.. some damage is better than being dead.
  4. I don't know about anyone else, but I buy my credits from Chinese gold farmers In all seriousness, there are several ways of doing so. You can farm dailes. Pick up Armormech, Synthweaving, Armstech, Artifice, or Slicing and earn credits by selling mats, or whatever you decide to craft. You can also use your monthly cartel coin allowance and buy cartel packs and sell everything you get in them, or you can buy hypercrates with RL money and sell those items as well. I'm sure there are other ways, but those seem to be the most popular. If you're looking for crafting guides, just go to the crafting forum and look around for tips.
  5. Actually, a countdown timer would be a nice feature.
  6. No, this has been a problem for some time now. Recently, it seems to have gotten worse (at least for me anyways). Already checked my settings and nothing has changed. The only solution I know of is to log completely out of the game and restart it. The problem with that is there's no rhyme or reason as to what triggers it. I've had it happen on a speeder, randomly turning, or coming out of a WZ.
  7. You may want to go to low level planets (Pub: Coruscant/Taris - Imp: Dromund Kaas/Balmorra) and knock out as many 2 and 4 heroics as you can. You should be able to save up enough planetary comms in no time. Remember, those missions reset every day as well.
  8. Right, but I'm done with the next mission(s) before the QT timer resets. Oricon, I can pick every necessary quest up at once (and grab a few on the way), then hammer them out in one large loop to finish the weekly. The only QT I use is when I finish the last daily. Makeb is: mission, qt, mission, run back, mission, run back, mission, qt, etc. See the difference?
  9. Agree 100%. Mostly because you can only have one active mission at a time and have to travel back to pick another one up. Let's face it, dalies/weeklies as a whole are pretty boring, but when they're logistical nightmares like the Makeb staged weekly, it goes from about a 5 to a 10 on the watching paint dry scale. BTW. I just got my HK over this past weekend and I didn't spend more than 15 minutes per planet finding the necessary parts. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones.
  10. This is true; however, you must have Legendary status in order to buy it. To make matters worse, you can only get the rep items from the Contraband series crates, so you're pretty much out of luck there too.
  11. What I mean by that is possibly having a legacy crew skill option available for purchase which enables you to send out all available crew members on their respective missions no matter which of your alts you happen to be playing. Right now it takes a fair amount of time to send out 12 character's worth of companions on gathering/crafting missions and I feel this would be a huge quality of life improvement. We still don't know the exact details on the legacy bank system, but I would think the best option is for the returns to go straight there. This way you wouldn't have to log in to each character to accept said returns and it also eliminates the possibility of your active character (who happens to be an Armormech) isn't getting the stims your Biochem made. Even if it has to be faction specific, I'm sure people would be more than happy to pay for both options, considering the alternative (logging in and out across your legacy).
  12. You can also try rolling as a cybertech and just make armoring and ear pieces while using your planetary comms to update the rest. This way, the most expensive part of the upgrade would be made in-house and you could use the spare comms on upgrading the mods, enhancements, barrels/hilts on your companion.
  13. You know, I honestly thought about going the Akaavi route. However, after hearing her constantly telling me about her guns itching, I decided that was probably a road I didn't want to go down.
  14. Eh, don't worry about all that. With all the money you'll spend upgrading your pad on NS, Cor, and/or DK, I'm sure any responsible financial institution will be more than happy to give you a Galactic stronghold equity line of credit to help pay your bills.
  15. Peace is a lie, I guess. I could care less what people do with their cc's and hard earned money. All I meant to do was point out the timing of the announcement. No more, no less. In fact, it's a smart business move. "Here, look at all this new stuff you can buy with free money." Then when the masses spend said free money.... "Oh and here's what you could have spent it on. Blew it all? That's OK, you can use real life money for that."
  16. Hehe... In other words, now that a bunch of you blew your bonus 1000cc's on the latest Cartel Pack, we'll happily give you an update as to why you should have saved them.
  17. It was mentioned before that crafters will be able to have a hand in decorations/items within the strongholds. Will that function also be available when the Nar Shaddaa Sky Palace goes live in May?
  18. Tell them, no. If they ask why; tell them that it builds character.... literally and figuratively.
  19. I would love to incorporate a game from American Gladiators just for nostalgia's sake, but I can't for the life of me think of anything viable
  20. The difficult part would be figuring out who would be figuring out who would be the VIP. Any joker could mess with the voting, or pick up whatever it is that designates said VIP. I think it would work best in an objective style WZ like Voidstar. I would hope for a completely new WZ, but for demonstration's sake I'll just use examples from that. Side note: some of the ideas already given are pretty cool so this aspect could be incorporated. Have each team fight as normal until breaching the next to last zone (once the final set of shields are dropped in VS). Defenders: The first person who dies after the shields are dropped is sent directly to the final room and is designated the VIP. If nobody dies during that time then the RNG gods pick a player at random and they are instanced to the final room at full power once the final doors are blown. The VIP keeps all of their abilities, no buffs, or debuffs. Yes, teams can target squishies, but they will be wasting time on targeting them rather than going after the final set of doors. Remember, you're still against the clock. Attackers and defenders: Once the final doors are blown, no respawn if you die. If you're stuck in the respawn once the doors are blown, you're out as well. Everyone else can either protect or eliminate the VIP. Make the final room large enough so the attackers and defenders can maneuver, but not so large that a stealth can make the attacker's lives miserable trying to find them. Another note on the stealth issue - If they want to hide, that's fine. Their team has 2 options: Stay in the area of the stealth for protection when/if they are found making them easier to detect - or - risk staying away from them and focusing on the remaining attackers making the stealth player vulnerable. Another note on the squishy issue - I can't count how many times I've been in really close Void Stars. A lot of times, the VIP won't need to stay alive very long before the clock runs out. Ultimately, it will still take longer to kill the VIP than it is to activate the computer console to win the round as it's played now.
  21. TBH, I'd just be happy with being able to make something that isn't trumped by a cartel market item.
  22. No, I'm saying you're going to get a biased result. The only reason why I'm still semi interested in this game is because of PVP, so it would be a tad hypocritical if I meant what you're asking me.
  23. LOL! Posting this on the PVP forum is like having a poll on Fox News' website asking if you are in favor of abolishing the second amendment.
