  1. I've seen it too many times in other games.. 30 people can destroy 50 people. You all have clearly not played many open world PVP games.
  2. You all must be doing it wrong.. Last night at approximately 7PM I logged into my server, Corellian Run, and immediately went to Ilum. I'm a fresh 50 Commando who loves PVP but due to real life I cannot play as much as most people but when I play I'm determined to have fun! Upon arriving into Ilum I noticed that we were being stomped. However, there were absolutely no originzation. After about 3 minutes of dying constantly, I personally started an Ops group and invited everyone standing around me. Low and behold, none of them were grouped up. After getting about 16 people I started posting in General Chat: "PST for Invite to Ilum Ops group". After about 15 minutes of struggling to get out of our base, and 24 members in the Ops group, we eventually led one great push and were able to leave our base and push the Imperials back to the south objective. Eventually we had them on the run. It was about 30 of us versus about 50 Imps but against the odds we held our own and capped all three objectives. This is the second night (pre-nerf we did the same thing!) that I've had such a blast in Ilum. I never even stepped foot into Ilum prior to the patch. I hear it was easy. Easy is boring. I love Ilum PVP!
  3. So are the caps zone wide or faction wide?
  4. The pubs in Ilum 2 and 3 should simply move to 1. Problem solved.
  5. That's not very smart. IMO, it's pretty much a zone-wide Alterac Valley. Which is awesome.

    Ilum Changes

Is it only the KB or anyone who caused damage? Personally, I think it should be the latter. You shouldn't be able to sit in a raid and earn valor from kills (unless you're healing).
  7. No one cares about their stock. It's the freaking stock market. A laugh in itself.
  8. Yes, but Bioware admited there were faults with the system and have implemented changes. I expect tonight's Ilum raid will go much smoother.
  9. Way to go Bioware! Do we know what the cap is for players on Ilum?
  10. Has there been any proof of players gaining that much valor? I knew a troll started the rumor, but no evidence has surfaced.
  11. As a republic player, I am perfectly fine being against the odds. It gives me more satisfaction when we actually succeed. It's not Bioware's fault that the majority of players wanted to be sith. In the movies the republic were always vastly outnumbered. Smh
  12. I may be over-exaggerating (as with everyone else on the PVP forums for the past two days).. .. It was probably more along the lines of 1:3.
  13. They want to believe that the 'epics' they got from killing lowbie players in Warzones are more justified than the Imperials farming them in Ilum.
  14. Last night was so epic. It was me and about 30 other Republics and we held our base and fought off countless waves of Imperial players. They never stepped foot in our base and quite often we pushed them back to the next objective only to return back to the base in fear of being overwhelmed in the open. It was so awesome. Reminds me of the movie '300'.
  15. I know they said they were capping it.. but does anyone know what the cap is?
  16. As a DPS Commando, I always try to get the 2.5 healing medal by healing myself with a crit. Well, I tried that Yesterday and it no longer awarded a medal. Then I tried my medpac which healed for 4k and that no longer awarded a medal neither. Then at the end of that game I saw that I had no healing points. The next game I used my crit CD and popped a crit heal on an ally and I was immediately awarded a medal. My question is, was this in the patch notes? Can anyone else confirm that heals toward yourself (via skills / spells / or items) no longer count towards healing / medals? If this is true - it sucks as a healer who's healing himself because DPS are beating his head in.
  17. WAR did something like this.. Except, the first thing the developers would need to do was to admit there was an imabalance. Last they said were it was like 51:49 favoring Imps. Which cannot be right. With that said, WAR gave a 15% bonus XP gain. I know it wouldn't help in PVP but it did help balance out some servers.
  18. I really hope this is all blown out of proportion. I really enjoy this game and I love competitive PVP.. but if I log on after work and every imperial character is a battlemaster within a day, then I'm quitting. It just defeats the purpose. Warzones awards come at a slow pace. Instead, you've awarded player vs computer (turrets) as a faster way to earn PVP equipment. Which, alone is just stupid. Either fix this or I'm out. I know I'm one person but this is about every competitive PVP player on the republic's side.. and probably a few imperial's as well (at least the ones who want to do it the 'right way').
  19. Can anyone say how bad it is for us, Reps? I know WZs are usually imbalanced so I'd imagine this is going to be awful.
  20. You can choose whichever you think would be best.. 1) Cap out the Ilum instances where only X ammount of Imp players and X ammount of Rep players can be in one instance. This at least tell us Reps what we'll be facing. 50 vs 50 would be ideal. 2) Have all republic players reroll on one server and dominate Ilum like Imps are doing everywhere else.
