  1. AXIS of Flurry joined with Corstar from Naritus. Were all on The Swiftsure.
  2. I'm the guy. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j241/JRoss069/Mylookingood.jpg
  3. Trolling, exploiting, and QQing were very populous in SWG. That is for sure. Also forgot to mention player bounty systems; Well, basically every profession had their own perks and special side missions with BHs and Smugs getting pretty unique ones. Can't forget my 1337 dps saber! I would like to see where these statistics are for how many subscriptions you say there were at "x" time for myself. I am not yet doubting this evidence you have proposed. I played on the Naritus server before free transfers were first offered. It was absolutely dead and I struggled often to find anything to do other than pvp(which only happened at night time). Once transfers were offered, we transferred to Flurry. As I remember Flurry, Bria, Euro-Chaimeara, Starsider, and Bloodfin were very populous servers after the transfers took place. The game did very well and many people came back. Time went by, lost of people left, more transfers happened. By the end, only Flurry, Starsider, and maybe one other were really populous. I mean even after the announcement of SWG's untimely demise, many people continued to play(doing all the things they always wanted to etc). Sony did what they do best by giving everything away for free in the last months which I indulged upon, myself:cool: Every aspect of the game bumped on for awhile. The last month were pretty desolate, but the bigger guilds with the diehard SWGers stuck around til the very end. So for my part, other than the end of Naritus, my original server and the end of the game, there were not many dull moments. You could say the top 5 guilds from both factions which contained the majority of players at the end and throw them on one server and keep it running for much, much longer than they did. All the well-known, hard-core players would have stuck around for awhile.
  4. Well put. The ownership was a great thing. There were alot of complexities to the game as well. I guess I can see why, to some, it just wasn't their game.(Thinking Doc Holliday says this best in Tombstone )
  5. So TOR has not lost players after the first month and every month since? I believe every game does that. I never saw any empirical data on SWG at its end, but if there were only around 10k players left, then they were on the server I played on. Shoot! They could have atleast shut all the others down and just ran one server with no more people allowed. It would be like an exclusive thing. I am sure they would have made enough to keep one server running. There is no right and wrong when arguing opinions, lol. I am only wrong from my point of view; just as you are only wrong from my point of view. As far as your less than/greater than views, I would say that with full graphics on a decent machine that SWG looks much better. Ever go to Naboo waterfalls and do that? It looked brilliant. TOR does have a much better story, and I love how the gameplay progresses. I have loved every FP I have ran so far. I have to say PVP in SWG was better, but maybe just because I was uber. As far as sandbox goes, I wouldn't know bc SWG, WoW, and SWTOR are the only MMOs that I have ever played.
  6. People will always complain. Read the topic of the OP. It asks to discuss which game is better. Many people have given their opinions. Every person is different. Many like SWG and want it back, and many like TOR. I loved SWG and want it back; However, I thoroughly enjoy TOR as well. The title is not blast everybody that liked SWG just because you are biased and immature. Also, by the way learn to use modifying words. More/Most funnier? Really? This almost discredits your whole argument, lol.
  7. I have to agree. A big part was guild relations. I completely forgot player cities and owning houses, diversity in customization, in races, in vehilces, in ships, in weapons, in armor, in absolutely everything in the game. It was mostly the amazing times with guildies or old friends that will be long remembered.
  8. Sounda kind of peaceful to me. Ceasing to exist completely as if you never existed at all. Almost sounds better than an eternity singing church songs or and eternity burning in hell.
  9. You were obviously one of the "I want everything now people that cried and quit SWG way before the true players." There was nothing wrong with the combat system. It worked fine; better than SWTOR's. The world pvp was the best part, and we could engage in 40 v. 40+ person pvp battles almost nightly all the way up until a month or so after they announced its death. The space was a million times better in SWG. The planets were bigger, there was more content, the crafting system was far more complex and diverse, and the player economy was great. Yes, they changed almost everything about the game, but I stuck around, and still had the same enjoyment I always did. This isn't just me. Everyone in my guild, and everyone that I have talked to that now plays SWTOR and played SWG at the time I did, agree. Hard for people to state absolutes about a game they quit long ago.
  10. I just want the Black and green crystal in a lvl 50 version with +41 or +46. There is or was a +4 endurance version available through some special purchase, but it looks really cool. I want one lol
  11. I played Galaxies for about 7 years as well. Best game I have ever played hands down. I would love to still be playing it. Doubt any game will ever beat it in my mind. That being said, atleast they gave us TOR to play after crushing all our dreams and killing SWG.
  12. The openings may have been present; However, I would think that a true master of the force actively engaged in a lightsaber battle would be trying to constantly hide his or her intentions and cloud the minds of their opponent. Thus, making it more difficult to capitalize on the opportunities or exposed targets. Just a thought. Anything can be possible through the force.
  13. It kind of depresses me for the characters that I have worked on to get valor ranks, but kind of excite me for future characters that I will level and be able to gear up more easily.
  14. Definitely gonna be keeping mine. It's been my favorite class so far by far. I am gonna try and level my Marauder though. Would like to see the dark side story play out, and see those high numbers at the end of a warzone.
  15. "There is no escape. Don't make me destroy you." - Darth Vader "I have waited a long time for this my little green friend." - The Emperor "If money is all that you love, then that's what you will receive." - Princess Leia "I have the death sentence on 12 systems." - Creep guy from Cantina scene in IV Few of my favs have already been takin...
  16. Still would have rather went dark for the simple fact that the cut scenes of Sith Warrior killing everyone are great. There was one where he lifted up two guys choking them, broke their necks in mid air, then slammed them together and immediately force jumped and stabbed his saber through another guy. Pretty awesome. Im sure I missed some cool ones by being such a good guy. I made sure to choose the bad one for ole Darth Baras at the end though.
  17. Yea, Im workin on Vette now. So you cant have them both at the same time, eh? I liked your analogy. Sorry you had an ex like that lol
  18. Lol Immortal didn't get it as bad as Vengeance. I may end up having to change to Rage. They just can't let you have a good thing.
  19. Sith Warrior - best by far so far. Taken it to lvl 50 and I even went LS(a mistake cause Jaesa wont be a bad girl now :/ ) Bounty Hunter - I have only taken my BH to lvl 33 or so, but it's been fun so far. Sith Inquisitor - It started out well until Act II, then it just got weird in my opinion. The whole Khem Val with an annoying woman's voice very lame. Leveled Inqusitor to 50 as well. Imperial Agent - I hear it's one of the best, but mine is only lvl 12 or so so I wouldnt know.
  20. Quinn for Mako in a heartbeat. He sucks at healing anyway, and he tried to betray me. Broonmark for either the Jawa or Khem Val. My LS Jaesa for DS Jaesa
  21. I get the feeling you are poking fun at me, but no, I have not.
  22. Where is the black with green glow one from? I like the sound of that!
  23. Ok I have gotten her affection to 10 thousand points, I am level 50, and have finished with my story mode. The last conversation we had ended with me encouraging her to have kids, and that I would train and protect them. I have not had the option to talk to her since. Why is it not allowing me to finally have my way with her lol? I am lightside, but I thought you could romance her either way... I know, Iknow. I should have went dark side, but I had originally thought it would affect her, but more importantly affect the color of lightsaber I could use. I am very fond of green and blue sabers so I wanted one. I didnt find out til recently that it didnt matter bc u could buy one from the geologist vendor on the fleet. Anyways, I thought Id read somewhere on another thread that you could romance her either way due to a fix. Is this fix another one of those "working as intended?"
  24. Don't understand why those idiots can't leave things be. Always gotta be screwin over someone, eh?
