  1. I absolutely loved the BH story. Taking down the bounties on your rise to Grand Champion, and Tarro Blood along the way, was very satisfying. And the turns your situation takes after with the Black List, Jun Seros, the Republic, and Darth Tormen were really intriguing. And the BH companions are the best - they remind me of the crew of Serenity from Firefly. They were like my family by the time I hit level 50. Leveling a BH is just fantastic. ... damn, I might just have to roll another one.
  2. I noticed something weird during the part where you eavesdrop on the Star Cabal leaders - one of them is a Rakata. You can see him briefly in the background when one of the others is talking. It was my understanding that there weren't any Rakata left that weren't regressed back on their homeworld or imprisoned in a mindtrap or on Belsavis somewhere. I'd be interested to learn more about the one in the Star Cabal (unless the devs just needed a random alien skin and hoped no one would notice).
  3. I actually haven't levelled a Republic character high enough to do that quest, but it sounds cool - looking forward to it!
  4. I think it's really cool to see all this new content about the Gree. I thought they were really cool ever since I first read about them in one of the old Adventure Journals for the Star Wars RPG back in the day - I was stoked when I first heard them mentioned in SWTOR. Looking forward to Terror from Beyond, and the opportunity to learn more about the Gree and explore one of their planets!
  5. Hey guys, I was wondering - what is the better sort of mod to use for an Operative: the Patron ones (more endurance, less cunning) or the other sort (can't remember the name, but more cunning than endurance)? I'm guessing the Patron, since Ops seem to be more close range than Snipers and need more survivability. And my Op is a healer, if that matters. Thanks!
  6. I, too, would like to see these speeders available again. It's one thing to have an item available during a special event that's obtainable fairly quickly, but within a certain time frame - but these speeders were always pretty expensive. It was probably hard for a lot of people to amass the credits for one before they were unavailable. At least make one version/color scheme available again - then people that have the others can still feel special about it.
  7. So, who has been enjoying the new world event? In addition to the fun tasks given us, I'm also enjoying the new mystery that is presented by the whole thing - what is the Chevin Conglomerate's motive behind gathering all these strange items? Spoilers about the quest line Spoilers about rewards So, do you guys like this event from a story standpoint?
  8. Not sure if these have been mentioned or not - During the Corellia bonus series, Empire side (kinda late in the game for a new comp., but whatever) Early in the Bounty Hunter story
  9. da*** did I just read? Uh, anyway - I'm having a blast with my Imperial Agent. I am playing a female one, though, so I'm pursuing the Vector romance. Seems pretty cool so far.
  10. That's awesome! Always great to hear about helpful players like that. Yeah, when I played the quest recently with my Agent, there were a few Republicans in the area. Luckily, none of them were antagonistic while I went about questing. I did have a staredown for a few seconds with a Jedi Shadow, but we seemed to come to a "stealth classes are cool" agreement and went our separate ways lol.
  11. Haha, did you post this same thing on the SWTOR Confessions tumblr? Love that site. EDIT: aw crap, didn't see you linked it already. My bad. And this is a compelling idea - there does seem to be a resemblance between the two.
  12. Hey guys - another Mainer, near Bangor, checking in! Good to see you all.
  13. Not sure how readily available it might be since it's kind of old, but a really good comic series that I would recommend is X-Wing Rogue Squadron: The Phantom Affair. It stars Wedge Antilles and other members of Rogue Squadron, and has some great artwork. There are 4 issues. I'll also recommend Tales of the Jedi - they are, after all, the basis of the entire Old Republic setting. For some more light-hearted fare, there's the Droids series, starring everyone's fave droid duo, R2 and 3PO.
  14. Yes, Silthar was very pleasant for a Sith Lord. I like Captain Golah too.
  15. Ah, to clarify - I am talking about the Empire version of the quest. I have not yet been to Tatooine on any of my Republic characters.
  16. I really like the story for this questline - to me, it really exemplifies a lot of the cool things about the Old Republic setting. Namely, the immense antiquity of the Galaxy and all of the ancient mysteries that lay in wait for explorers. And I really like the Rakata - they make for cool and interesting encounters and antagonists. I almost get chills from Captain Golah's parting words to you at the end - "There are a lot of old mysteries in the Galaxy, and once you start looking into them, they tend to do the same to you." (I may be paraphrasing a bit here). Your thoughts?
  17. I wanted a really classically "Star Wars-y" name, like Skywalker or Starkiller. So I came up with Voidrunner.
  18. Hey guys - would someone be able to sum up Mako's storyline involving her "sisters" or whatever? I tried to follow it - I'm usually good at that, too, I like listening to the dialogue. But I was rather confused by Mako's story. All I can really get from it is that she's a clone, or something? And who was the SIS guy you talk to at one point, exactly? Thanks!
  19. I love listening to aliens speak non-Basic languages in this game - like Khem Val, Hutts, and Duros. They just sound really cool.
  20. My BH is a rattataki with body type 3 - tall and heavily muscled, with kind of a blunt-featured face and some scars. I think the voice fits him perfectly. In fact, when I see another BH in like a video or something talking with the same voice, it just doesn't seem right to me.
  21. This kind of happens at one point in the Bounty Hunter storyline It would be very cool if there was an epic final battle where all of your companions fight beside you.
  22. Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. In fact, in the Bounty Hunter storyline, you encounter a human Jedi that has a Mirialan apprentice. So, at least according to SWTOR, that's perfectly acceptable.
  23. I love the BH companions as well. Mako - I married her. She's really cute and funny at times, and she and I make an awesome team in the field. Gault - I was totally surprised and amused by how he joins your crew. He has some pretty funny lines, and his quest chain is the next one that intrigues me the most. Torian - a fellow Mandalorian, and a staunch ally that wouldn't let me down in battle. My brother in war. Blizz - Jawas are awesome, and this guy is no exception. Adorable, and has an armstech bonus to boot! (I actually haven't played with anybody accompanying me except Mako, her heals are so good, so this is all totally lore-wise) ... and then there's Skadge. He's the only one that's out of place, that doesn't feel like part of the family. He bullied his way into the crew and doesn't seem to have any respect or bond for anyone else. He feels volatile to me, even - like he could endanger the rest of us. I'd totally dump him if it was possible.
  24. Right now I'm questing on Voss, and after awhile I started to realize - this place reminds me a lot of the movie The Dark Crystal. The whole mystical vibe, the duality of the Voss and Gormak (there are even guys called Mystics), prophecies... the shaclaw creatures even kind of look like the giant beetle monsters in the movie. I wonder if this was intended at all by the devs. And if you've never seen The Dark Crystal, make sure to check it out. An awesome unique fantasy movie by Jim Henson with an all-puppet cast, but not childish at all. From the same era as the original Star Wars movies, with awesome pre-CGI special effects.
