GL NEVER said Fett being alive in EU was N-Canon. Closest thing he ever said to that was "In my world he's dead , thats not how i'd have done it in my world...." If you take that further , he also talks about Vader never comes back to life (Infinity comics) , Emperor is never a clone and Luke never gets married. That would mean , if you took that as him saying all that as Canon only , then NO BOOK is C-Canon after RoTJ. If you take that quote like that , then there is no need for C-Canon cause no book is valid , they all go against GL "wishes". Thats however is not what he ment. He just said that isn't how he would have done it. Thats it. He said Fett died in his story and Luke never got married. Thats it. He never said that Fett was dead in the EU. Not really. If you think about it , its noted that during the war alot of records on both sides were destroyed or lost. It could be possible for us to encounter them and records of the encounter to get lost at a later date and those that had contact forgot , were killed or thought of the encounter as a mere side effect of the other sides research into other forms of combat during the war.

GL came out and said hiself that the Holiday Special is N-Canon , Star Wars Demolition fits in there as well , as noted by N-Canon , and Star Tours is a ride outside the Canon system seeing as it has nothing to do with SW lore. SW trasformers has no bearing on SW as its a Transformers parady. Thats where the issue is. Those all fit into N-Canon as per GL own words. But Fett being alive fits into C-Canon UNTILL GL says otherwise. Yes , as per GL he died (by his own words "In my story..." , but , as per GL approving Fett's return in the EU , he lets it be part of EU C-Canon. All the rest you pointed out he has hisself said (as with the Holiday cartoon being recon'ed) they fit into N-Canon. Fett being alive is in C-Canon unless otherwise pointed out by GL or LC. It really is that simple. Read where it says what fits into G/C/T/N -Canon and you'll see mention of Holiday Special , Transformers , The themepark rides and so on listed where they are intended , yet Fett being alive is NOT mentioned anywhere (except that it fits into C-Canon by definition cause of the EU)

Acording to GL , its all N-Canon right there , except i see 1 flaw in your post here. http://www.laughingplace.com/files/latest/20100816-8.jpg GL is there so per you , what GL says goes , thus he's here in this photo and that means this is more Canon than most the movies (unless you're telling me he said this didn't happen and thus its N-Canon , and i'm gonna have to ask for a link. Remember he said that all visual links , script (he didn't just show up for this , someone had to script it) and media material approved by him through him or those he releases by his own binding are G-Canon. This seems to fit the bill for G-Canon if anything does.

Death Troopers (altho i don't like the book much) is C-Canon. Nothing in it counters G-Canon , thus its valid as C-Canon material and part of lore. (as i said , don't like the book much , but it does give insight to the Sith of the time and how they tended to use socery more) GL never said "Fett is dead , there is nothing else to say" like he did with purple LS's (Mace is the only one to ever have one) , Wookie Jedi (Lowbacca is the only one , EVER) , armor and weapons that LS's can't hurt , Blacksabers , Luke , Han , Leia never can be killed off. That means it is a possiblity that Fett can live in the EU. He only said that "I wouldn't have done it like that in my story" my story meaning G-Canon , but in C-Canon it can happen , just like the clone Emperor happened in C-Canon , its part of canon even tho GL said the Emporer wouldn't have come back as a clone in "his story" , but he let it be in C-Canon.

I do agree that you have the right to view the movies as the only source of SW. Thats your right and its fair. But it is limited in its view. There is alot of why/how/when/who thats not ever answered in the movies. That also means those that believe in the EU have the right to view that as canon as well. They want more and its fair.

He never said Luke doesn't get married or that Fett is dead. What he says is that in his "universe" Fett is dead and Luke doesn't get married , its just not how he'd have done it. Thats what he said , not that it didn't happen in C-Canon. He has only said that his story ended with RoTJ and the 6 movies are G-Canon. Luke getting married doesn't mess up G-Canon. Fett still being alive doesn't mess up G-Canon. Those can both be C-Canon and not mess up G-Canon. Thats the whole point here. He said in "his story" Fett is dead , but it wasn't written , therefore if he's brought back to life in a book , its not messing up G-Canon. It just means in GL mind , the way he would have wanted it Fett would be dead , but for the fan base and for the sake of C-Canon for the fans , he lets Fett live (or he'd recon it all)

Yes , C-Canon has to fit in with G-Canon or they won't let it get published or made. Right? If you answer no , then your just trying to fight yourself and everyone for no reason. If a book writer decided they wanted to make a noval about Luke and Leia going off and deciding they wanted to foget they were bro and sis and have incest kids , what do you think would happen? Or another writer doing a line of Wookie Jedi? Or even in the most basic of stuff , yet another writer using the old Jedi code in a noval? What do you think they are gonna get told? NO!!! Why? Because it doesn't fit with G-Canon. They can't put any of that in there even if all the rest follows G-Canon. They won't let it. That means Fett being alive after RoTJ means GL said that its ok for the C-Canon to have him alive. It makes sense too , as a movie maker and having the keys to the IP , it gives him the option to hype all this up like we are ,then 12 years later change it up , hype it more and say "Well , if you look closely , i've never said completely that he was dead in C-Canon and in the script it was hinted that he might be dead , but was never written out , just that i wouldn't have him alive in G-Canon , but i did notice everyone liking him alot and decided to do a few movies about him" G-Canon is GL version of whats happened , but he also knows its limited. To keep the IP alive for the fans , he's allowed C-Canon to flurish as long as it doesn't discount what he has in G-Canon. C-Canon is for the fans to carry on the IP. It still counts and if you'll notice , even tho he stuck his nose in and said no Wookie Jedi besides Lowbacca , no other writer has gone ahead and writen a book about other Wookie Jedi. If what most of you are pointing at was true , that they can write about more Wookie Jedi at anytime with no reprecusions , then why hasn't anyone doen so? Or about Blacksabers or ore and metals that ANYONE can get that stop Lightsabers? Or about Han , Leia and Luke dying? If what you guys are suggesting is true , nothing stops tham...except the fact that GL , LA and LAL won't let them. They won't put a stamp on a noval anymore that allows even a small bit of non-G-Canon into it. If it deveates from what GL says happened , unless otherwise ok'd by GL and staff , then it can't go into a noval. That means that by him allowing Fett to flurish in the books , he's allowing Fett to be a part of C-Canon , which means that in G-Canon the door has been left open for Fett to be alive. As we've all pointed out , its never been written into script that Fett was for 100% surely dead. G-Canon is GL's and can't be changed by anyone but him. End of story. Its 100% lore. C-Canon is fans and writers as long as it doesn't mess up G-Canon and can be changed by writers and GL. It can be expanded and added onto over and over untill the end of time as long as it doesn't counter G-Canon. End of story. Its also 100% lore.

The ideal way the bounty amount would be placed is like this : Player A kills Player B , a pop up gives a option to place a bounty , ranging from 1 credit to 1 mil credits. Lets say Player B decides to place 10k credits. Now Player A kills another player 14 seconds later , Player C gets the same option , 1 cred to 1mil creds. Lets say they also place 10k. So far Player A has 20k on him that we know of , but what we don't know is who and how much was added over the last week or month. As far as everyone would know , the only people who would know what was added to his overall bounty would be those who added bounty creds. This lowers the chance that they can get a friend to get their bounty. The Devs would also add a system that once your overall bounty gets to 30k , for each NPC of any faction you kill in pve , you get 100 creds added to your overall bounty. This greatly decreases the amount that someone could guess their bounty MIGHT be at to get a friend or a alt of thiers to clear it and take the creds.

Thats the whole point tho. There wasn't really a "end game" in SWG , and IMO i can't really see why anyone would ever want a "end game". Whats the end game in SWTOR? WZ comms till you get WH armor? Thats pretty much it. Sure you can do all the FP and ops but all that gear sucks compared to WZ WH stuff. Crafting , no end game there. Space , once you do all the missions once , its just another grind for no reason. Nothing extra from it but 'lil credits. In SWG the "end game" was never ending. Sure you could get the best gear on the server , but then you have to get mods to go in that gear and that was ever changing with all the templete combos out there. So you got the best gear on the server in SWG , now what? How would you like to test it? Pvp , pve , sure. So you go pvp but this guy stomps you over and over. Remod to fit better vs his attacks , so now you got to go Kryat or Kimo hunting to get the mod drops , but now your mods in your suite need tweeking to def vs the pve to get the pvp mods and so on. Now on to space , got to get some good npc's to get good drops to take to a ship builder. If you don't have the idea by now , it was never ending in what you had/could do to keep busy. PVP had more than just 3-4 "matches" to do. It was everywhere. While your fighting in Restuss just for fun , the other side is sending guys to take the bases on the other planets to get the uber stims , and on top of that they got people blocking the space ports , so its a all day fight just to clear 1 pvp hot spot to get to another. And trust me , if they get those high end stims or even that banner , its a game changer. PVP bases that can be planted and defended for a planet wide bonus on faction gear. PVE spawns that only happened once a week or once a day. PVP being fought over the spawns and the winner getting the spoils. Crafting , harvesting to get the top gear for your guild.... and lets not forget the 50 or so dungeons that could be ran with high lvl drops for gear/weapons/stims/food/drink/meds And on top of all that , there was "your version of end game" , be it badges , collections , getting a set of all the armor in the game or 1 of each weapon in the game or any number of things.

Then how did they get the bounty in the first place? Bounties , placed or contracted , should work in WZ's. Duals don't count either. That leaves them traveling off the fleet and into the world , thus , if they did it once , they'll do it again. I've seen very dedicated Bh wait a very long time to get a kill. Thats the fun of the system. Finding ways to get your mark. Send them a /whisper telling them you'd pay them 5k for help on so and so planet mission. If their bounty is 20k , you'll still make 15k. Thats the nature of the game of BH'ing. I knew a BH in SWG that waited 3 months to go after his mark. The fool made a post that they were gonna be gone for 2-3 months. The BH had the mark and knew it and just waited. Of course the BH system would have to come with a tracking system , letting you know at first where your mark was (fleet , Belsavis , Voss and so on) letting you decide if you want to drop it and move on to another. After inital tracking and you reach the location (lets say fleet) it would then give you a marker where their last know location was , with a min. of 30 seconds delay and a max of 1 min. Then when you get near where you think your mark is , you can BH check everyone to see if they match the discription of the mark. If they are on the fleet , that would be as far as you can go. You'd then have to either wait for them to go somewhere and then wait for a update , or go to your ship and wait. It works and is very exciting and fun.

I have read all the books of Star Wars that have been approved by LA. If your book ever exsisted , it was made without consent from George Lucas or Lucas Arts publishing , therefore doesn't exsits. Maybe you did read it in your local library in your country , and if thats the case , its a illegal work , never printed in this country (USA) or for that matter , any other country. That means its not even part of any canon at all. I've got a story with pictures right here in front of me. It has a picture of me with a lightsaber and a cloak on and the caption of "Darth Dad". Its got a complete story written about me and all my "force powers". It was writen by my 5yr old. If GL or LA wanted to , i'm sure they could sue , but they would then be arseholes and no one would ever like them. LOL Point is , it doesn't count for lore or SW history. Same with this book you talk about , if it exists.

I've read every book approved by LA and there is none out there where Luke and Leia get married and have kids. Thats Han and Leia and Luke and Mara.

The only way they could constantly place a bounty on you was if you keep killing them. If thats the case , then your kinda greifing them. If they want to toss 10k bounty on you , then log onto their BH and get their 10k back , whats the point? What did you lose and more importantly , what did they gain? If you want to opt out factor , go to a rp , pve or rp/pve server. I say those servers get the opt in/out for the bounty system. PVP servers should be a automatic system , no opt ins/outs at all. PVP and PVP/PVE servers should be automatic bounty system. You know its a pvp server so you know your gonna pvp , just expect bounties as part of that system.

Your whining about greifing , yet the guy who got the bounty on himself was involved in pvp. That in and of itself is a form of greif. If you don't want to get bounty hunted , don't pvp. Its that simple. I say this would bring some people back to the game. Make it optional for pve and rp/pve and pve/pvp servers. Have a togle where you can choose if you EVER want the enemy to be able to place a bounty on you. You can change it daily or w/e. Make it perminate on pvp servers. After all , it is a pvp server and you know your always at the risk to be attacked. I also say give 1 class on each side the ability to do it , or your gonna end up getting a overload of BH all the time. I'd say BH for the Imps and Smugglers for the Pubs. Also , throw in a tef system. If your grouped and a member of your group gets attacked , everyone in the group can defend them. BH can attack both sides and so can Smugglers if they have a mission. If you've ever player BH'd or been BH'd , you'd get it. Its a blast to be at the top of the BH boards (highest bounty on the server) and know everyone knows. To beat 1 or 3 BH at a time and still have that bounty on you. It always adds that special flavor to the game that your actually involved in a side game of death and deception. I think it should be disabled on fleet and in WZ's tho. Fine , if the guy wants to sit on the fleet all day and do WZ's , he sure won't be out in the open world pvp'ing. No big deal really. And TBH , i've seen BH hold on to a bounty for weeks waiting for that right time when his mark logs in or leaves his house , then BLAMM!!

Still think something like this would bring back some subs. Everyone wants some open world pvp , but with no reason to do so , (you get more comms , tokens , creds , xp from WZ's) people aren't even trying. The plague event did open up alot of random pvp , but it wasn't enough. I say do something like these bases and the gear you get is stuff you don't get from wz comms , like ear peices , bracers , and such , maybe even augs or weapons. I know the weapons on the wz vendors are no where near as good as the one i got , no matter what mods are in them.

Lets not go into end game , cause its a moot point. This game as of now has no end game content either. At least in SWG , even those kill a jillion of this to get 1/8th of a trophy were different and confusing at times. You might actually have to hunt down to find out where that creature was and take a group of friends to do it. Here , there is no random missions you can do at 50. You go to the fleet , pick a ops or FP and get in a pug. Run it and its done. Even those have the kill a jillion things to get this bonus mission completed for not. Even once you do it , there is no change to it next time. Its the same loop over and over. You can't go in and say "Well , last time it was like this , but now its not. We got to search over there for it or do this instead" 20 missions you can repeat over and over. Tops. In SWG you had that too , but more. You had the collections (which some added stats to your character which helped in pvp or pve) and gave you special goods (speeders and such , even certain space ships or pets)That was about 100 of those. Then you had planet specific missions. Temple of Exar Kun has a seriers of 6 missions on Yavin , then later another mission was put in that was pretty cool. The Geno caves on Yavin were pretty cool with the Ackley beast in it , and if you killed it there was a chance for rare loot that was used for crafting awesome weapons. Then there was the Tusken bunker on Tat , Jabas palace quests , mark of the Hero quests , Jedi Trials , the hunt for the Gorax and his bones and the giant bird on Naboo (forgot its name) Collect the feather , bone and hide (that was from the Kimo on Lok , and they took a group) and you got cool armor. Dathomir quests , Emperor's retreat quests , Theed palace quests , there was some guy that was hard as heck on Corellia that was another quest set. Thats just off the top of my head , all before speeders and barely after mounts. Thats about 6-8months into the game. Even if you hit top lvl , you still couldn't complete all of these without the help of friends , and even then , it was months long process that some never got to complete untill after Trials of Obi-Wan expansion. And still they took large groups. So far in SWTOR , i've done on 1 toon all missions , FP's and ops that my class/faction/profession can do. Crafting has no purpose. I can make more creds off selling what my crafters get off missions than what can be made. (or even loot on the GTN for that matter)All thats left is pvp and even that is lacking. No deversity. No suprise , no tactics. Point , click , run here , node/protect this.Rinse , repeat. No random , looking over my shoulder for the bad guy while questing aspect. I've even caped on valor as much as needs be. Got the gear maxed (with a few exceptions) and even have 3 other toons up to lvl 50/valor50 and working on toons from the other faction. From beta to end , i never had a lack of something to do in SWG , even if i didn't feel like doing guild runs in one of the many dungeons , or pvp in Restuss or Tat or Theed or at the bases , i could craft or run collections or just help a guildie plant harvesters. Not so here. Not much i can do to hang out with guildies but the 20-30 missions at top lvl or que up for the same pvp instances over and over.

Your just speaking of FOTM'ers. Just like here you got peeps that were merc/sorc going to sniper/gunslinger. Really good players never touched CM/MR or MF/MTK. They were the ones who went out and were MF/MD with def vs TK mods and a mind fire stun bat or a MCH/MR who didn't even use a rifle but had a bile drinched quenker with a mind posion dot. Using the mind dots was just as much part of competive pvp as using interupts here , but they could be countered. It was deep. Just cause the guy your facing was a BH didn't mean you knew anything about the attacks he could use. What if he took medic skills , or fencer skills , or even jedi skills (it didn't work well , but you could be a BH and have force cloak or heal) He wouldn't have any of the same attacks as you if he even spent 4 points differently than you. It was a suprise. Here there is no suprise. No extra moves. In the opening attacks you know every attack or ability your enemy has. He's one of 3 set branches that both of you can have. No more , no less. (with exceptions if they want to spend less in a pool and get less bang for their buck)
