  1. Perhaps I should have seen this coming. The epeen is strong in this one. I may have been undergeared as the healer, idk. I'm not sure if its SUPPOSED to take 3 Underworld Medicines and 2 Kolto Packs to heal through one of the last boss' DoTs.
  2. Also probably didn't help we had 3 smugglers, we were kinda lacking in versatility. And buffs.
  3. It was mainly just the bosses. The trash is all pretty easy, but they have managed to slap a good challenge on the bosses. This was also a whole group of 21s or below, nobody was overlevel for the flashpoint.
  4. Its hardly decisions when you're basically required to just click LS/DS options to rack up one type of points :/
  5. ...and I WOULD NOT have it any other way! I came over from WoW, where dungeons, heroics, and basically anything that wasn't a top-tier raid was just a steamroll. The content got old EXTREMELY quickly, because you could hardly call running a dungeon in taht game "playing". You ran forward, spammed whatever abilities you had, and got your couple tokens. Then you did it again. So, imagine my surprise when we walk into Athiss. I did the Esseles once with my friend, and it wasn't too much of a challenge. But Athiss today was my first Flashpoint with a full group (I was healing as a level 21 Smuggler Sawbones). We got to the second boss with minor issues (one wipe due to a patrol that managed to pull from literally across the Flashpoint), and then WIPEFEST. I think we wiped on the second boss 3 or 4 times, then another 3 or 4 on the last boss. Oh no, say the extreme casuals! Effort! Wipes! I can't play this game! Well, I am FAR from a hardcore player (I had the entire week of early access and I have a 21 Smuggler and a 14 Trooper) and I can't remember the last time I had as much fun in a flashpoint as in Athiss today. Those of you who argue for LFD saying it doesn't harm communities, sure, it doesn't. But how often do you walk out of a random dungeon finder run and add everyone in the group to your friend's list? I can't remember the last time I friended ANYONE in a dungeon in WoW, but all 3 of my party members definitely made my list after that run. Long story short, I absolutely love basically all of Bioware's choices as far as Flashpoints are concerned. I love the difficulty, I love the lack of a dungeon finder (for now... we'll see how long that lasts), and I love the whole feel of the run. TL;DR: If you've ever whined about Flashpoint difficulty, slap yourself, then L2P.
  6. To everyone saying its not possible to add a Gray option: stop and think for a second. If you get over 1k toward the Light, you get LS I. 1k toward the Dark, DS I. Now, why couldn't you reward middle ground? If you have 2k total points and you aren't 1k in either direction, you get Gray I. 4k total points and you aren't 1.5k in either direction, Gray II (would override LS/DS I since you are obviously more gray. Qualifying for a Gray would always override LS/DS). This is a very simple solution that allows people to play the way they want. I want my Trooper to be gray, but he is LS simply because the game FORCES you to pick LS or DS. Middle ground is penalized with no rewards.
  7. I don't understand. Is there some sort of glitch or am I missing something? I saw the one psot about the ship spontaneously exploding with 50% health left, yeah that's a glitch, but short of that how are people failing this? Are you hitting the escort ship with missles? I literally cannot understand this. The missions get MUCH harder, this mission is a cakewalk. As long as you are even reasonably efficient at killing the fighters, you can literally IGNORE the capital ships and still have no problem at all. If nothing else, try one of the other two missions. I've seen a lot of complaining about the escort, someone please explain why its difficult (I've really been enjoying the difficulty of the rest of the game, but space combat is... not hard).
  8. Duly noted, looks like I'm gonna need hundreds of these things. Thanks.
  9. Where do I go to purchase upgrades for my ship? I assume that there is some vendor somewhere who will take these flight commendations.
