  1. Ehm, maybe don't get the Titanium then?
  2. Uhhh, just checked this thread after a long while, and I'm pretty confused with the current highest log Sorry to say so, but... http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/33766356.jpg Look on "Heib" attack for example. Min hit = 2986, Max hit = 2986, yet it only has 44% crit and avg hit is 1147? Gnadenloser Hieb is even more wicked, 16.9% crit right... 4861 min hit - RIGHT Not to even talk about Vorstoß. Look on min hits of any other dual-wielder... that thing is either bugged or edited from the top to the end. None of the min hits should be higher than 500 for a watchman, maybe except for force charge.
  3. Notice it has the same times... someone did a little log modifying
  4. http://www.torparse.com/a/97246 this is the log he originally posted with the juggernaut ^^
  5. Not to be an ***, but I noticed something wrong - 02:15:45.896 Deathstrider's Bloodthirst effect of Bloodthirst fades from Maximban. Maximban is a Juggernaut. Your max hits don't correspond well with the avg hits.

  7. Offering half a kingdom for Hazmat Annihilator's MK-4 Adaptor/Hazmat Boltblaster's MK-1 Device, anyone crafts that?
  8. Did the 2,2k with 3/11/27, it's better to take +6% elemental dmg than the +6% HIB dmg, because elemental is the largest portion of your total dmg. I think it's actually worth it and it can do more DPS, but it's so heavy on the ammo that you can drop bellow the standard assault build very easily. If you're lucky on the Ionic Accelerator proc it's a total beast though. The decreased cooldown on Pulse Cannon and stronger Ion Pulse isn't half bad too. I'll be still using the standard assault build for now because of the ammo management, yet I think that this hybrid will be incredible with the level increase, that's if they don't add something cool to the assault tree that's actually worth having. Adrenaline fueled seems like a must to sustain it on a regular basis.
  9. Just to give local vanguards something to think about - http://www.torparse.com/a/81029/time/1356171849/1356172070 I know it's not long enough but it's an interesting hybrid at-least. Did 2210 dps on my ship dummy on 5m once, the crit rating was off the scale though. There is a lot of variable skill build combinations, so I wouldn't mind if any other vangs/powertechs try the hybrid with gut and share their findings
  10. http://www.torparse.com/a/55463/time/1353789852/1353790153 Catching up Ash with gear I'm already at the list as Widy.
  11. Actually, it's not. As it was explained to me
  12. Incorrect. If your special accuracy is 100% and the target you're attacking has 10% defense, you still have 10% chance to miss your special attacks and 20% to miss your assault. On the other hand, if you up your special accuracy to 110% you will have 0% chance to miss a target with 10% defense with your specials (you don't want to miss your master strike) and 10% chance to miss with your assault. Operation bosses have 10% def. EDIT: Damn, too slow
  13. I find my damage better with 27 instead of 28 even when killing bosses.
  14. Okay, parsed it on the Gav Daragon, didn't notice any difference though. Character Name <Guild Name>: Widy <Animas Fidelium> Character Class: Vanguard Character Spec: 8/6/27 Torparse Link: http://www.torparse.com/a/40695/time/1351672450/1351672768 AMR Profile*: N/A
  15. 66,67% crit rate with PvE set? That's nice. I don't have 63 mods either. Just in my offhand cause I'm gearing for my tanking main spec. EDIT: true with the dummy, It's on my ship. They are actually different? :\ Will do my next parse there then.
  16. Oh, and I almost forgot that I'd like to ask Trsk how is he able to do 6,2k rail shots? Oo My highest HIB is 5653 and that's with attack adrenal and another 1k power from gear. I had no pilgrim buff, but that doesn't make so large difference.
  17. Hey there, I found out about this cool little thread, so here is my bit: Character Name <Guild Name>: Widy <Animas Fidelium> Character Class: Vanguard Character Spec: 8/6/27 Torparse Link: http://www.torparse.com/a/40225/time/1351632395/1351632730 AMR Profile*: I don't have one I have a feeling some of my guildies will post theirs soon. I'll make a higher parse when I'll have some more time - totally doable!
  18. Will Cartel Coins be available via in-game mechanics? To elaborate a bit - my question is if there is going to be something like a tier 3 operation against the Hutts, which will reward the Cartel Coins. In other words, will good end-game players that are able to down the hardest content (or achieve like top 100 rank in RWZs) be able to enjoy all the content without spending real money?
  19. I tried them both, there is not much difference in raw DPS over a longer period of time, but I like the AP build much more as a lot of the boss fights require burst damage and you are not up 100% of the time. The full assault spec simply gives you more burst and even a little more ranged damage potential EDIT: Oh, and I'm using the PvP set bonus.
  20. Can go like that forever, usually about 5-6 mins. I'm in fully re-moded campaign gear.
  21. As far as the rotation goes, I use this order: When you get Ionic Accelerator proc you use HIB immediately, which already sets you 3 second after the proc. So you use two instants or one channeled skill (FA, PC, MV) and then Stock Strike>Ion Pulse. Ion pulse only has priority if your DOT is running off in the next 1,5 sec. Basically you want to throw an Assault Plastique after the IA proc + 1 another instant (hammer shot for ammo, incendiary round to keep the dot up, or one extra IP, if you're doing great on the ammo). When both your dots are running and the AP is on cooldown there is an excellent opportunity after a HIB to throw in MV>PC>FA as it's channeled for 3 seconds => fills up exactly the 6 sec proc window (FA is actually the best ammo-wise, MV DMG-wise). Throw a SS>IP after that (IP>SS if DOT isn't on). Using the channeled skills in your rotation gives you much higher DMG per ammo ratio. I do around 1900 DPS on the Operations dummy as a Assault spec vang. Don't listen to these guys that tell you things like SS is useless, test it for yourself on a dummy with a parser Assault build without AP does almost exactly the same DPS in a long fight but hinders your burst hard, not my style. It's easier to master the rotation there though.
  22. The chest can be accessed only by the EXACTLY same team, that killed the boss before them. Otherwise it gets locked, so yes, it's working as intended.
  23. Okay, so a brief introduction: I'm playing vanguard since the beta. It's my main and always will be (I've many chars, but I decided to play vang long before beta). I'm playing all 3 specs and some hybrids. Currently somewhere near 1700r in RWZs, clearing EC HM weekly w/o wipes sometimes (playing Tank or DPS, whatever is needed). My take on the trees Shield Specialist and hybrids PvP - Very poor tank in the higher tier of games compared to the other tanks. Guardian has better cooldowns, AOE slow, and Guardian leap => hold outs longer when solo defending, better mobility, better protecting allies. Shadow has stealth and again - better cooldowns. The only area where Shield Specialist shines is dmg, his overall dmg is on a par with some DPS classes thanks to his AOEs (in damage gear). But then again, he'd better be off in a pure DMG build or a hybrid (31 or 23 points in tactics + ion cell). Sadly the trees are designed to not support hybrids, as they are very based on a specific cell. Tactics + ion cell works though - if you play it wise and use Battering Ram. This makes your damage output just slightly below pure DPS classes and grants you the guard ability, yet you miss the utility and survivability of other tanks (but full tank spec wouldn't help you with that anyway). Shield specialist is built heavy around the shield and absorb stats, which is a big mistake for PvP as they've much less use in it than in PvE. PvE - All fine there, I'm our healers favorite tank and never ever had a problem with tanking any boss. Probably the best tank to hold aggro of multipe mobs. Assault PvP - Monstrous single target DPS that brings taunts and an aoe stun in addition to the awesome burst, everyone wants one or two.... or three on their team. May or may not do as much overall damage as a well played focus sent, still shines at killing single targets. PvE - Being the top DPS on most of the bosses, can dish out 1900 sustained DPS on an Operations dummy after mastering the rotation on a 5 minute window (this is for fully re-modded rank 146 gear). To be exact, it's more like 1750-2000 depending on the Ionic Accelerator procs and crits, very spiky DPS, still great overall and one has to be cautious with the procs and ammo. Tactics PvP - Great damage potential with much higher utility and mobility than Assault. The biggest problem of this spec is the lower burst in comparsion to Assault, which is the main thing why is a vanguard brought to a premade team. Situationally can be as good at overall DPS as an Assault, but will never reach such burst. Unlike Assault can be countered. PvE - I don't see much place for this spec in PvE. It's more mobile, right... but it's kind of useless as the mobility isn't a problem for a well played assault at all. The sustained DPS is about 10 to 15% lower than Assault. The only bright side is that it's more ammo friendly and as that, can be better for newer players. Final thoughts: Assault plastique - please fix the tool-tip or make it do AOE damage. It confused every sinlge new vanguard I knew. Sticky grenade has the EXACTLY SAME TOOL-TIP as Assault Plastique. Sticky grenade does AOE damage, Assault plastique is single target only. Assault vs. Tactics - Tactics brings more utility and AOE damage potential, Assault is better at damage and burst (which is kind of the main thing). I suggest to build Tactics even more about the utility and AoE damage. Completely remove High Impact Bolt from the Tactics tree and build it around Explosive Round, that's very ammo-ineffective yet very underrated skill. With the proper talents it could be a very nice AoE damage/objective-interrupting/harassing/ranged ability to go on par with the utility of a Tactics vanguard. Assault vs. Tactics no. 2 - Assaults are gonna hate me for this, but switch Fire Pulse and Assault Plastique (make it an AOE!). It would lower the Assaults burst that is over-the-top, yet it wouldn't mess with their DPS (10m range for Vang, 30m for Commando to boost those poor guys). EDIT: 1. How do you think your Vanguard spec is perceived by other classes? - Most people I know are thinking that the Assault spec is overpowered for PvP and they don't want to accept tactics as a worhty alternative. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? - I love all three specs but it's true that I feel like the worst PvP tank of those 3, guardian and shadow would be more useful any day. Great Tank/DPS hybrid though if Guard is the only thing your team needs. Tactics is a jack of all trades, master of none, still it has fine DPS and utility.
  24. Operations mostly, Biometric Crystal Alloy can be found in HM FPs too. Or you can always purchase some on the GTN.
