  1. I can somewhat agree with this. As a Gunslinger I don't make the best carrier (probably the worst choice actually), but I do provide a lot of utility to help a carrier. I like running with them to use stuns, punts, roots, slows, and the flash bang to pave the way. I can go out for a pass around the final ramp to the goal line, but don't throw it to me at mid and expect me to carry it to victory. I'm just not built to do that and better left to support the carrier.
  2. People who throw caution to the wind when there's a healer around. Just because I'm healing you it doesn't mean you get to become Superman and run through groups of enemies without a care. Help me help keep you alive.
  3. Casual? Hardcore? It doesn't matter. Those are stupid labels that got picked up somewhere along the way. They're nonsense.
  4. Worse thing you can do in SWTOR is hit 50. The leveling experience was a lot of fun, but at 50 the game kind of falls flat. It could be that since leveling was so enjoyable it just becomes much more noticeable when you reach end game and it's standard as far as a MMO goes.
  5. I didn't say it was bad now. Just merely pointing out that patch after patch is lowering dps and eventually that could result in healing becoming king.
  6. I don't need advice to beat a healer, because I am the healer.
  7. I was hoping someone would bring that up. Good thing healers can't out heal dps ... oh wait.
  8. It needs work. The idea is good, it just needs to be a bit more practical. Having a full resolve bar while I'm waiting in my spawn that runs out by the time I am back in the fighting doesn't really help.
  9. That's one patch. When you look at the overall trend in the patches regarding pvp, it's basically all been an effort to reduce damage. Meanwhile, healing is pretty much left as is. I'm not saying we're at the point right now, but if they keep this up it might just happen slowly over time. Not to mention improved healing is the only thing not mitigated by opposing expertise. Damage is going down while healing almost remains consistent. It's not a leap to wonder where that's going to lead.
  10. Every patch that comes out is slowly making healers more powerful. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few more it ends up like most other games where having a healer = enter god mode.
  11. The game is not dying, nor is it going to. I'd even say with all that was invested it's too big to ever fail. That being said, I don't ever see it growing much beyond where it is now unless BioWare changes some things and expands upon other things. In the end this game will be successful, but I don't see it ever reaching its true potential.
  12. Relax dude. SWTOR is not your mother.
  13. It's up in about a week and I am going to let it slide until patch 1.2. It's a fun game, but it's not really holding my interest. I primarily PvP and right now grinding out warzones really isn't holding my interest. I wish there was more. Very much in need of a break right now.

    Way too much CC!?

It is excessive. There's just way too much of it throughout all of the classes. That being said, resolve also has to be considered. In my opinion it's a broken mechanic and needs to be revamped. Maybe if they do a better job with resolve, then the CC won't be a problem.
  15. Shouldn't you have a lot more than just that as a healer?
  16. Far as the US servers are concerned (minus the RP servers): PvP - 41 (6 showing light pop currently) PvE - 71 (28 showing light pop currently) Give or take a couple from having to count by scrolling through the list. Kind of funny how things look when you're not pulling numbers out of thin air.
  17. It's not a big deal. Having level 10's in a warzone is fine.
  18. If you need someone to give you a reason, then you probably shouldn't be playing. Go ahead and cancel. It's not mandatory that you play SWTOR. Good luck in finding something you'll enjoy more.
  19. It's kind of pointless when you get CC'd to death and then the resolve timer ticks down while you're waiting in the spawn. I would like to at least see the resolve be changed to only tick down while in combat.

    Vendor Confirmation

Was this really necessary? I just want to be able to buy a bunch and go back to what I was doing. Not sit there and confirm each one. Unless there's something I'm missing? Please give us the option to turn this window off. Not everyone needs to have their hand held at the vendor.
  21. The leaps and stuff are useful, but I can't even begin to remember the amount of scores those have cost my teams. Too many times someone with a leap or sprint gets the ball and decides they want to play one man army. The first thing they do is run away from their teammates straight into the enemy and get blown up. C'mon man.

    Your bad if...

I just started a Trooper alt as a healer, and I have to admit I was surprised how little I am interrupted. Playing other classes I could tell a lot of people don't use it, but it becomes very obvious once you step into the role of a class where interrupts matter. I've been able to tie up 2-3 people consistently so they ignore the objective because they don't interrupt my heals very often. Mind you I was only level 16, so it's not like my Trooper has a lot to work with. Too many people just want to be dps heroes and think they can burn everyone down. Kind of makes you wonder what other skills people often ignore because they're not damage abilities.
  23. I'm sure they'll address the water issue. BioWare seems to be pretty good so far at nerfing outside influences on balance like consumables.
  24. I enjoy playing my Gunslinger alt. It's actually a pretty powerful class, especially when people decide to ignore them. If people just leave me be, then prepare for people to get ripped apart. It also provides a decent amount of support to boot. The only problem is the cover system is a bit of a pain to deal with in pvp. It's not the worst thing in the world, but I can understand how people might not like it. You can definitely play a run n' gun style, or bunker down in cover. It all depends on the situation. In Huttball I like to run n' gun, but in Voidstar or Alderaan I tend to bunker down. I think the class could use some tweaks. Cover is definitely a strength, but it's also just as much a weakness. I would like to see some of the skills be usable outside of cover. Too many seem to be restricted to only being in cover. Damage only skills remaining cover dependent would be fine, but I would like to see some utility opened up for outside cover (i.e. the knockback). Definitely fun and rewarding though if you're willing to learn how to balance run n' gun and bunker down. Maybe not the best choice in a 1v1 (depending on the opponent), but it does shine in the group warzones.
  25. Some people think that once they hit 50, they're ready to enter the pvp bracket. That's not true. Chances are, you let some of your gear slide while leveling. Take the time to gear up a bit to make your character a bit more viable. It will take some credits and maybe a day or two, but the investment is well worth it in the long run and eases you into the bracket.
