  3. Congrats on getting through. I am building up a new resource for The Old Republic at ForceTremor. Right now, it is new, so information is still being written and added. The site went live about a week ago. While we don't have information about every flashpoint right now, we are adding to it daily and we are including information about story mode and hard mode. A couple of our completed flashpoint pages are: http://forcetremor.com/wiki/Hammer_Station http://forcetremor.com/wiki/Athiss There are several others with complete information, but will have a once-over done to them, to add in images and TorHead links. I hope that you keep this resource in mind, as you go through these story mode flashpoints. Good luck, and have fun in the flashpoints.
  4. My wife will beat me to leveling, since she will have a good 8 hours, plus drive time, to level without me. (She's stays at home, I work all day)
  5. Greedo: Going somewhere, Solo? Han: Yes Greedo. As a matter of fact, I was just going to go see your boss. Tell Jabba that I got his money. Greedo: Its too late *shoots Han*
  6. ForceTremor http://www.forcetremor.com/ ForceTremor is a new community site for Star Wars: The Old Republic. This site has been created to provide The Old Republic news, guides, character profiles, and Wiki. Below are some features about the website. Character Profiles At ForceTremor, users can create an armory type character profile, complete with suggested operations, and operation completion status. This is a big feature of the website, as it is something that I have wanted to be able to bring to the community. Below are two examples of how these pages look, once the proper profile edits have been done. Empire: http://forcetremor.com/User-sydnei Republic: http://forcetremor.com/User-ohnoto Website Customization When you register at ForceTremor, you will be prompted to select either Republic of Sith Empire (You can change this at any time by editing your profile). Depending on which faction you select, the website will be blue for the republic, or red for the empire. Other icons, website backgrounds, and website unlocks will differ, depending on which faction you are aligned with. Path of Leveling At ForceTremor, as you create posts, you will gain levels. For each level that you gain, a new website background will become unlocked. Staying on the Path, the website will change backgrounds automatically. However, at anytime, you may select a permanent background from any of the unlocked backgrounds. There are several backgrounds that are shared between both factions, but many are only available to one or the other, depending on who you are aligned with. Such as, being aligned with the Empire, you will not be able to display a Tython background. Wiki When creating an account at ForceTremor, you will also have access to our Wiki. Currently, there is not much information, but it has been setup with many sections, ready for editing. The Wiki is here as a community project to compile a complete and updated Wiki about The Old Republic. Guides As guides are written, they will be added to our Wiki pages. This way we can have a place where these can be kept up to date and easily available through the navigation of the Wiki. ForceTremor was around a couple years ago, and at that time, had created several guides for the community, that can still be viewed on our YouTube page. News As news becomes available, we will provide it as quickly as possible. These include developer postings, official announcements, patch notes, added content, game changes, etc. At this time, we are not doing any data mining, though that is also subject to change in the future.
  7. As of today, we have reopened our Republic guild. Original posting has been updated with current status of both factions.
  8. Hey Aldie, I think my guild, Among Shadows, would be exactly what you looking for. Several weeks ago, we returned to ToR after a just over a year break as well. Among Shadows had previously been in since day 1 of early access, lasting until Rise of the Hutt Cartel before taking our break. Since our return, we have begun weekly operation events. We are casual, 18+ guild. If you review through our short list of community rules and expectations on our site, I think you will find that they support what you are looking for. Our site is in my signature below. May the schwartz be with you.
  9. Glad I'm not the only one not seeing it. I feel the same way you do.
  10. We're taking the next 2 weeks to prepare for Operations. Come join us today to get on our team.
  11. Operations are planning to begin soon. We are still recruiting more to join us.
  12. Among Shadôws | Among Shâdows www.amongshadows.com Among Shadows Among Shadows has recently returned to The Old Republic. Once primarily on the Republic side, we have decided to focus more on the Sith Empire side. We have started doing operations on a weekly basis. For our current progression, please visit our site. Among the Shadows As of September 22, 2014, we have reopened our Republic faction guild. We are currently working on growing this faction along side our Sith counterpart. We will be growing to do Operations and guild conquests. Those interested in either faction, or both, should apply to join through our guild website, www.amongshadows.com If there are any questions, I can be contacted in game, on the character Sydnei (Sith) / Ohnota (Republic), or you can reply to this post. Guild Expectations First off, we are an adult guild, and rarely accept members under the age of 18. We also consider ourselves a family friendly guild. Many of our members have families and children, college, and full-time jobs. We realize that these things are more important than this game that we play. Due to these, we do not impose any rules stating that members must attend events, nor do we remove members for being inactive or missing events. We are there for our members and support our members. We are not looking for those wanting to have the best gear before anyone else, obtaining server first kills, elitist attitude or are rude towards others, or those that belittle others that don't have the same gear or better gear than themselves. When it comes to loot and gear, we do not play the game to get the next best shiny piece of gear. We are more interested in the friendships built and time we game together and gear is just a tool to progress us further, but not the focus of members. Our website contains much more detailed information regarding our expectations of members through our community rules. Guild History Our guild was created July 2011 in preparation specifically for The Old Republic. When the game launched early access on December 13, 2011, we were placed on the Kaas City server. We began running Operations early and had cleared all content prior to the release of the next Operation content. When Bioware allowed for voluntary server merging, we moved to Canderous Ordo, along with much of the Kaas City server. Finally from there we landed on Jedi Convenant when forced mergers were done. Shortly after that merger is when we started our Sith Empire side of the guild, Among Shadows. Just before Rise of the Hutt Cartel, we took a break from The Old Republic, on both factions. Now, as we are seeing more content that has been added to the game, we are making our way back into The Old Republic.
  13. ComarIVR, We are still very much recruiting. You can contact Xonal in game, he is our recruiting officer. You can also contact myself, my characters are Sydnei and Ohnoto.
  14. We are still recruiting for both factions, regardless of level, class, or role. We also welcome new players and free to play players as well.

  16. I apologize for getting back so late. Between Thanksgiving, and I had a family emergency shortly after, I haven't been around as much. However, it is best to reach myself and our community through our website. For yourself, and anyone else interested, I encourage you to check out our site and apply there for quicker responses from myself and officers.
  17. We are still recruiting for both factions. We welcome players that are experienced, as well as new players, and those that are playing under the free to play model.
  18. Thanks Decklen for those kind words about the guild.
  19. You are welcome to check out my guild, Among the Shadows. While the times that you are active aren't the times that most of our members are active, we do still tend to have a few on during those hours. Here is a link to our recruitment thread, <Among the Shadows> Republic / Sith Guild Recruiting
  20. My guild, Among the Shadows, is really good about assisting newer players. 21. Among the Shadows | Among Shadows www.amongshadows.com Among the Shadows Our Republic guild has been doing 8 man operations since the release of the game. We are now looking to progress our 8 man operation team into a 16 man operation team. Current Progression Explosive Conflict Nightmare Mode: 1/4 Terror From Beyond Hard Mode: 5 / 5 Terror From Beyond Story Mode: 5 / 5 Explosive Conflict Hard Mode: 4 / 4 Among Shadows Our Empire guild was created recently with existing members from the Republic side, but has grown into its own standing guild with players that primarily play on the Sith Empire side. As this is our newer guild, many are still in the leveling process, with the average level of the guild around 42-44. We plan to begin Operations as soon as possible on this side. Those interested in applying to either our Republic or Sith Empire factions should do so through our guild website, www.amongshadows.com Guild Expectations First off, we are an adult guild, and rarely accept members under the age of 18. 22. I know. I've been playing since day 1. The unify color was something that had been in beta, something with it didn't work as well as it could from the developers stand point. When the game launched, those that were in beta were constantly asking and requesting that it get put back into the game quickly because they liked it that much. What I am saying is that things like this, the hiding head slot, buying quick slot bars, are nickle and dimming customers and I believe that it will back fire on Bioware.
  23. Not necessarily. Take Operations for example. You could go through Hard Mode Explosive Conflict and get everything you need in one week. If you are part of a guild that doesn't need anything from there and is doing gear runs, you only need to pay 240 CC for that operation and you are done with it. You don't need to buy any more Operation time until later when you may want to do Terror From Beyond. If you aren't in a guild, the weekly pass also doesn't guarantee you'll get into a group, or that it will be successful. Therefore most people won't buy their week time until they are about to enter the Operation, but what if they have trouble progressing, don't get any new gear, or can't get into another group for the rest of that week. They will feel like they wasted their money with nothing to gain and may not buy a weekly operation pass again. Lets take Flashpoints. There are 11 hard mode flashpoints between Sith Empire and Galactic Republic factions. If they were sold, even at 750 CC each (as an example), it would take 35 weekly passes to equal that amount. As of today, Star Wars has been out for 45 weeks. At 500 CC each, it would be equal to buying 23 weekly passes. Weekly passes are there on the premise that someone is not subscribed. Most likely, someone will not be buying 4 of any of these a month, but only 1-2 max. If someone is playing more casually, they may but something occasionally like the weekly pass, but over the span of their play time, would they buy 23-35 of them? If someone were to buy that many, they may opt to just subscribe, which brings in $15 a month to Bioware anyways. However, if someone is willing to make one purchase a month, they may opt to spend slightly more to buy content they could always have access to, not just for a week.
  24. I completely agree with you, with the inclusion of unify armor colors. Customers don't like to feel like they are being nickle and dimed, and when you have to pay to hide your head slot and unify armor color it feels like you are doing just that to customers. MMO players get attached to their characters. They want their characters to look and feel awesome. It is what keeps them playing. The more they play, the more likely they will buy more things. Unifying armor helps players characters look better and not silly or stupid with non-matching gear, it is one of the great things about Star Wars in regards to character customization. MMO customers understand and expect to pay for content, for goodies like mounts and pets, for consumables, but not for things like hiding a head slot, or unifying armor. When you have to pay for something that is standard, even in other Free to Play games like hiding a head piece, customers will not like that. You, as Bioware, need to understand your customer base more. You guys are new at the MMO business and I don't want to see things go wrong, and having to buy these simple things is going the wrong way.
  25. I'm curious to why release content as weekly passes. To me, it makes more sense to have allowed for purchasing individual Flashpoints, Warzones, Operations, Space Missions rather than offer them out as weekly passes. For Flashpoints, give free players a taste of Flashpoints by having Black Talon and The Esseles always free. It would be much more appealing in the store to showcase the story of each flashpoint rather than "Here's a weekly pass to access the content" Flashpoints that are low level only with no hard mode could be purchased in a clump, such as Hammer Station, Athiss, and Mandolorian Raiders for 1200 Cartel Coins (as an example), and then always be accessible. Same thing with Operations and Warzones. Instead of offering weekly passes, allow players to purchase individual Operations, where the story can be showcased, and armor restrictions from those Operations could be removed. For Space Missions, I'd suggest something similar to the low level Flashpoint suggestion, in that allow for Space Missions between levels 15-25 to be purchased, or in clumps based on the daily missions. By selling individual Flashpoints, Operations, Warzones, and Space Missions you greatly increase the ability for players to pay for the content that they want and play what they want, the way they want. As new content is then released, players that play PvE may purchase the Flashpoint and Operations, while PvP players purchase Warzones, and solo players may purchase Space Missions and Flashpoints. As new content is released, you could also release it as clump package for a higher price, including all of the new content in that game update.
