10 Good
  1. This is the earliest I have ever canceled my subscription for an MMO and have played a good half dozen in the past. Did it only fail me or the thousands of people that are probably canceling their subscriptions every day? Bioware needs to stick to single player games from here on in. They don't have the vision or the humility to deal with more than that and have gone from a company many of us had great respect for to one in which we have little at all.
  2. Putting 20 percent on the icon is just plain audacious and a flat out lie. It almost always takes over 10 RE's and has been as many as 26 in my experience. Things like this just make people angry.
  3. I could live with maintenance a couple times a week or more if it didn't always happen so early. I think SWTOR interrupts peoples play times more than any other MMO by doing so. That's part of why so many people gripe here on the forums. It would also be nice to see a hot-fix once in a while rather than it always being four hours of downtime. Other similar games can patch a patch in under fifteen minutes.
  4. Does anyone besides Bioware think every other MMO performs maintenance too late? Who is the early maintenance working for? I honestly don't know but maybe if I understood it wouldn't make me feel the way I do.
  5. It's always a shame to see the hard work of thousands sabotaged by a few with limited vision, over-inflated egos and poor management skills. Lack of intelligence in regards to what is expected of an MMO is not only costing them money but has alienated long-term fans of the company on a grand scale. Something which will resonate for a very long time and many games to come. It just goes to show that a chain really is only as strong as its weakest link. I can only hope for Bioware's sake that they have already fired the people that made the decisions that have cost us all so much. I do commend the powers that be for seeing their failures and trying to correct them but it just took far, far too long to do so. In fact it still hasn't happened but we are assured that it "is happening." I predict a major incentive based "Re-Launch" of this game in a few months when the features we have come to expect of an MMO have finally been included and server populations and limitations have been rectified.
  6. I've been destroying mine. If they brought the vendor back I would be more pissed than if I had hoarded the stuff and they did not.
  7. Thanks for posting. I had spent almost an hour looking for things on social vendors and not understanding why I couldn't find them. It seems that even with all the MMO's out there that Bioware is destined to make all the same mistakes the hard way.
  8. I can't confirm this but it's most likely due to people using Rocket Boots. The sound they make persists even after the boots are used, filling a large area. I have wondered if others hear this or only the people using the boots. Imagine the impression new players are getting when they log in to the lowbie areas and it sounds like your constantly playing in the middle of the runway for a major airport.
  9. I felt ripped off after purchasing them as well. If I could have gotten a refund I would have. My biggest complaint however is that the sound they make persists even after the boots are used... for hours... until you log off!! Rendering them totally useless unless you enjoy the sound of standing under the space shuttle while you game. If anyone knows a workaround for this 10/10 annoying bug please chime in.
  10. I've abandoned my characters and moved to the asia/pacific server for just this reason. Do i ping close to 400 in contrast to 40 on my old server? Yes but I prefer it to the ghost town that is Vornskyr. The fact that this game has no community or cross server LFG system only compounds the problem. I think they will fix it when people start leaving by the thousands but in all honesty by then it will be too late. Yes the game is dying, as evidenced by low populations on the vast majority of all servers. Every day we get closer to an RPG than an MMO.
  11. And why so much earlier than other MMO's?
  12. Is it just me or is stealth and incapacitate broken in 1.2? It's not all the time but if i tranq a mob it will invariably aggro even when I have not been detected by the mobs. Intentional change or not this is really sapping my enjoyment of this class. It worked great prior to 1.2.
  13. They've been aware of the problem for 5 months now. 25 quest slots for troopers is simply not a priority it seems.
  14. Personally I think it's in order to make a small handfull of server administrators lives easier. Every other MMO tried to find the sweet spot for downtime and did a decent job doing so. Coincidentally they all decided on roughly the same time. Bioware is special, we are not.
  15. I totally agree, this is a bass ackwards approach that is most troubling. Buff the bosses before you nerf the players is common sense. Remember Bioware, that maybe 1/10 of all healers see end game content and many of us, like operatives/scoundrels struggle even as it stands today. I want to have faith in this company but it's definitely getting harder and harder to do so. Tanks already don't do enough threat and now healers won't do enough healing. This is not the challenge we were looking for.
