  1. I personally don't see the point in Tionese at all. We have had a lot of new people joining our guild recently including rerollers. We geared up everyone in full rakata (or at least exotech/columi) in one week. Raid gear is so abundant that there is 0 point to even attempt to do flashpoints. And craftable columi implants/earpieces with augment slot are far better then their rakata daily versions.
  2. Problem is that in this game there is no incentive to do much at lvl 50. I remember when fleet counted 300+ people during off-peak hours. Now I can't find more then 20 during peak times. I am a person who focuses all his efforts into one single character in every MMO that I play. I have full rakata and battlemaster main and offspec sets. I have Valor rank 80. All Companions are in Exotech or above gear.... What else? There are no reputations to build No rare crafting recipes to gain that are useful No worthy PvP ranks to achieve There are no vanity items to collect No hard achievements For crying out loud we don't have a training dummy to hit in your free time! And I have more Exotech gear in my bank stored up then I have space for, despite the question what it's good for. And half my guild used WoW's Scroll of Resurrection and vanished.
  3. What will happen to out Champion and Centurion Commendations/Direct Tokens. Am I supposed to Spend them before 1.2 or will they be converted to something useful? I have the cap of 1000 Champion Commendations, 2 rows of unspent direct-tokens and a good 500 Centurion commendations. Is it worth buying Champion Gear in advance so I can RE it in 1.2 for research-able schematics? The skin on it is nice and i wouldn't mind an Augmentable version of it.
  4. Add an incentive to PvP every day. Like open world sieges and objectives that are capturable for a long time (24h+).
  5. I am not sure if this is actually possible, but from the way I understand the patch notes you will be able to RE your pretty looking war hero gear, learn the schematic to create it and then make a slotted version. If this is indeed possible then I will drop Biochem in favor of Synth just to be able to make that.
  6. Check out any of my videos here. Always 30 FPS+ even in Warzones. Ilum around 20. http://www.youtube.com/user/sergeylz Running with 2560x1600, all graphics on max. 7. This fight is all about Lightning Ball control. As soon as lightning balls spawn the people who get them have to drop whatever they are doing, quickly identify which one is theirs and run into it. The lighning balls will not go away unless they reach their target. It helps to have a dedicated Sage/Sorc putting bubble on the people who get balls to avoid them taking too much damage. Have your members make sure that they are full health and use their defensive cooldowns when they take a lightning ball and make them use a medpack when they are done. It is critical that your members only run into THEIR OWN ball. Anything else will be suicide. Resilience (duno what the sin equivalent is called) makes Shadows/Assasins immune to the balls damage. Our Nightmare 16 kill:
  8. The recipes for those are very rare drops. My guild still has only 2 of those after raiding since december
  9. You obviously did not do 16-man nightmare. But back to the topic. Yes, I fully agree that Melee should have some kind of a bonus to DPS or whatever for being in melee. Most MMOs have ranged doing more damage flat or giving them an edge through mainly instant abilities and movement. In this game even Melee's have channeled stand-still abilities (Master Strike, Telekinetic Throw and the likes)
  10. This is indeed the way it works. Can confirm this. Tested it a couple times within our premade. The only reason why it appears to often be the highest ranked player is because they have a way longer way towards their next valor rank.
  11. A better solution would be to make PvP trauma scale with the amount of participating healers. 20% base PvP trauma (30% at the moment) For each healer that heals you you get an additional 10% PvP trauma. Only applied by Sage/Sorc, Merc/Commando, Scoundrel/Operative.
  12. I am also running a 31/0/10 build and i got the following gear: Stalkers lightsaber, focus, bracer, belt, ear, implants, boot For the remaining 4 pieces i took Force-Masters and modded it up with the Enhance from Champion Stalker's glove AT least for my playstyle the extra 5 meters range on Project are worth the weird looks from other players
  13. that's all cool for leveling. But tell me one thing: Can you make a better sniper rifle then a custom modded one with lvl 51 barrel from dailys + lvl 58 mods stripped from scoundrel battlemaster gear? Republic side that is. And it still isn't better then Rakata blaster on my Tharan. Qyzen is even worse, in this regard... Imp equivalent would prolly be asking for an assault cannon.
  14. In 1.1.3 Shadows/Assassins had 2 core talents changed that allowed hybrid specs to be viable. In addition switching Techniques/Charges now consumes our full resource bar. Other classes that have "stances" can change those for free. Why is Shadow/Assassin hybridization so much discouraged/prohibited by the development team?
  15. As with many other things the schematic is in the game files, but you can't actually get it
  16. On another note it is sad that Armstech crafts are only of real value for Companions. For mains everything from Raid/Dailys/PvP is sooo much better
  17. There is this wonderful daily heroic 4 quest on belsavis which (at least for consular) gives as a reward a custom weapon for every companion except guess who... On a side note. It is equally as difficult to get a raid grade sniper rifle on republic side for zenith. They are not even for sale from the Columi/Rakata/PvP vendors.
  18. But the so called BIG skill in at least my own Class (Shadow/Assassin) is utterly crap in all 3 trees! I was so happy with my Shadow in 23/18/0 until 1.1.3 hit and just made that spec invalid. They even didn't reset my talent points! Now I am forced to play 31/0/10 because no other talent build goes with being a tank and I hate it . That's not choice - that's "You will eat it and you'll like it"
  19. Nice suggestions. Makes for very nice PvP tree and Elusiveness Absolete. You do realize that If this would ever to be implemented I would tank Ops in 5/31/5? Your proposed change to Vigor is too OP, so is Clairvoyant Strike. I do agree that the tree is crap as it is at the moment, but what you are suggesting is OP. To be honest a lot of the stuff in the Infiltration tree should be base skills. Shadow's Respite, Masked Assault and Infiltration tactics (come on, who in his sane mind still has Shadow strike on his hotbar without that talent?) should be base skills. Misdirection and Fade should be one talent. Clairvoyant Strike should just plain improve Double strike rather then replacing the skill. I never specced it, but does it have a different animation? Same with some of the stuff in the other trees. Force Pull should be a base skill... come on Vanguards get it! Force speed should break all movement impairing effects by default and make you immune to those for the duration of the effect.
  20. It wouldn't be a bad thing if Crafters could add Augment slots to their own existing soulbound gear appropriate for the profession. I do realize that in 1.2 you will be able to crit craft orange gear and resocket your mods, but I like the looks of my Columi set and would even drop Bio for Synth to add augment slots to it. Doesn't have to be a straight forward process. Make it require Alien data cubes, biometrics and/or give the attempt a chance to fail.
  21. I have to agree that the current skill/talent system is very unpleasing and suggests very few viable builds. As a Shadow I am forced into one of three viable specs (one per tree) and am forced to use the tree-appropriate stance to make the talents work. Which is extremely lame if you ask me.
  22. I personally can't stand going through the dialogs each time I go into Esseles Hard mode. Neither do I want to be given the story behind each normal quest on alts. Keep the voice overs for those who care, but give the MMO junkie the toggle switch to just turn them off and accept/hand in quests without the cinematic.
  23. Nice for you. I am the guild's prime Biochemist and have thus all Columi Implant recipes. Id love to drop Bio for something else, but I am not allowed to just drop all my schematics.
  24. Won't solve the problem. Unequipping and reequipping your gear will put you on half health too.
  25. I have to agree that tanks are completely broken in PvP at the moment. I am a Jedi Shadow myself. In a full infiltration spec I kill stuff twice as fast as in a tank spec, but then I die instantly. I can forget any 1 on 2s. In a full Tank spec I kill stuff slower, but I kill a lot more stuff. 1 on 2 is no problem, 1 on 3 is a challenge, but not impossible. Gear? The I use full Stalker's (DPS set) for all my pvp, no matter what spec. I used to run with a shield generator in tank stance, but dropped it in favor of a focus with more DPS. More then half the attacks thrown at you (Sorc/Merc overpopulation) ignore shields, defenses and Armor. The only real reason to be in Tank stance is to have those 9% bonus damage resistance to elemental/internal from stance mastery talent. Shielding in PvE is equally as broken and virtually useless. I have no problem with Lightning/Tracer missle not being deflectable, but Shielding should differentiate somehow from parry/deflect, especially since it does not mitigate all the damage.
