  1. Yes, because these forums don't have any cries for nerfs or buffs at all!
  2. Wow, looks rough! That guy had to cast something every 10 seconds or so! I am sure it was hard and innovative for its time, but it isn't anywhere near as hard as current raiding content.
  3. We had damage meters from day one in early WoW raiding, we also had decursive, CTraid. Also, before BWL we had a threat meter. You have no idea how your spec compares to others unless it is drastically different (like the difference between a Rage Jugg and a Veng Jugg is obvious), there isn't even a combat log yet. Raiding in EQ was really basic and just required a ton of people, just because it was a pain in the *** doesn't mean it was actually challenging content. If I am wrong, please link a youtube video of an EQ raid that was harder than Muru. Good luck with that. The game is already based on a spreadsheet and numbers (an example http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-Immortal-Defense-Compendium-A-Tank-s-Guide-To-The-Galaxy ), everything in MMOs (and RPGs for that matter, including tabletop) is number based, there is nothing that will change that. So the people that like to theorycraft will run the numbers until a best way is apparent. To be honest, I just want a combat log, simple macros (mouseovers included), and a custom UI. Having to stare at your bars, buffs and debuffs takes away from the flashpoints/ops, a HUD and combat aura UI mod would be fantastic. I really like the MM part of the MMORPG, I like tackling the hardest content with a group of like minded people. Raiding is fun, and it is more fun when you have the tools to objectively improve in order to down a really challenging encounter. The numbers are there, the game is processing them already, give me access to them so I can be the best I can.
  4. You can tank hardmodes in that that spec fairly easily, but you lose a lot of mitigation and control. You miss out on 12% defense and the bubble from Sonic Barrier. So don't expect to main tank operations in that spec (although I can play the role of the 2nd tank fairly easily in EV).
  5. Spec Rage, not vengeance and you will see DPS Juggs shine. I recently went dps as mu guild has too many tanks and found that Rage does much much higher dps.
  6. Our Smash hits much harder than theirs, because of the Decimate talent. But they do more damage overall, as they should because they wear medium armor and are super squishy.
  7. I hit for over 2.5k with rage spec in full tank gear, it is nice to be able to tank in Soresu form and still do big damage.
  8. I recently switched to dps for the benefit of my guild (we have too many tanks atm), I have tried both specs and Rage is better for both PvP and PvE. Rage does more damage and is more versatile. Right now Rage is really the only choice for dps.
  9. Stick with rage but wear tank gear, you can still guard, taunt and do massive damage in that spec in Soresu form.
  10. You can do them by the stack, you will get your roll per item same as if you did them one by one.
  11. You can do the Ilum/ Belsavis dailies, Hardmode flashpoints, PvP or get crafted items to get ready for Ops, any of them is a viable path (I used all of them).
  12. That is exactly what happens, you have to RE the greens to blues and then the blues to purples. You have to work for it and there is luck involved, it isn't handed to you in this game. The 49 epics you make, especially if you make them until it crits and you get an augment slot on the gear, will carry you into Operations.
  13. The only thing I want is Sundering Assault and Crushing Blow to have threat modifiers added to them. Currently backhand is the only thing that causes a high amount of threat and it has a long CD, we need 1 or 2 more abilities with it.
  14. There are items like this in every profession, I have a couple of bogus epic implant patterns. Random chance is random, sometimes you get the BiS pattern, sometimes you get a skill implant with defense on it.
  15. I am pretty sure it rolls separately for each item, so it doesn't matter if you do one at a time or 10 at a time, the chance per RE is the same. At 50 it takes an average of about 20-30 REs to get an epic pattern (for the implants anyway), so be patient.
