  1. ^^^ Sweet reply homes. (Obviously identified himself in one of those guilds) For your amusement here is who I am, I was a founder on Giradda the Hutt and one of the first people to recieve BM gear, a SWG player on Radiant server in guild OWI, and just to nail it in, someone who got his rear handed to him for the first 2 months of the game in pvp as two guilds (who are no longer here as BW banned their accounts for cheating in anti-hacking mesaures in march) decided they were the "BEST" on server just like the currently listed. Now as for the MAN UP challenge, I do have the vid, which I sent into BW and have ongoing ticket investigations. Problem is these peeps always seem to show up under new IP's, new accounts, and new names a few months later. Face the facts man, the best usually cheat to get to be the best. Wanna prove you are the best, STOP playing in pug game general WZ and stay in ranked. Or are we really calling guilds that do (as mentioned above) que at coordinated times to get 8 players on their team while at best 4 from same guild on opposing team, the "BEST" --Peace--
  2. I agree they shouldn't do anything. (especially since they already gave us the run around when our vault disappeared and they claimed we never had a guild vault back in july:jawa_wink: ) Now as far as the "who mentioned it first" arguement goes we can get into a long debate about it but essentially we were in the game first, we were in it pre launch, and we just are having a almost comical time of gaining reputation with a faction that is essentially a "very close copy" of us. We are flattered of course that BW decided to implement our name (yes I know they probably picked up a DB book lol) but seriously we hate being called copy cats. EDIT: Also just for kicks guess what our imperial affiliate is name...GSI. Now I am rolling laughing.
  3. The company was formed in 2004 on a non SW title and carried over to a SW title (SWG) for continued usage. Your rebuttal was based on the pretext of SW titles, limited assumption, and the misreading of fine print text good sir.
  4. (First I apologize for the South Park reference, halarious though. Now on to business.) So for those into SW lore the new reputation faction "Galactic Solutions Ind." that will be coming out shortly is for what most assume a reference to the Darth Bane era books, or BW's own creation. The company is a treasure/explorer/merc outfit that you can gain repuation through. Now, these series of books came out several years ago and BW has what I assume been working on this update for several months. Here is my guild's problem. Our name is GALACTIC SOLUTIONS INC. This name was derived from an operated company we did business in while playing SWG in late 2008-09 through the ending of the franchise. Before the mention in the books, and long before BW had even published a rough alpha phase of this game. Naturally we registered our guild name as a pre-launch guild, kept the name when we moved from our origin server (Giradda the Hutt to Shadowlands) and then continued to go about or business as usual. Then we see this new rep system coming out and immediately realize, "They are going to think we copied BW!!!" So, suggestions for making sure this incident dosn't happen? Also, should a dev pop in on this discussion, a guild spot light would clear the matter up...cough cough...or perhaps instant legacy rep to deal with the fact we are gaining rep for ourselfs .. just saying. And before someone says it, no we are not changing our name.
  5. No no, the halarious thing is 3 of those "top 5" guilds have mysteriously had incidents where A: There stats don't match their gear. B: An entire enemy team has crashed right before their defeat. C: Continuous sprinting while in combat. D: Been able to outrun force speed classes while out of combat running in a strait line And my personal favorite F: Have had multiple reports filed against them and mysteriously lose members when anti-cheating measures are taken. As for the two that don't engage in activities of a "questionable" nature, good show and always a pleasure to duke it out.
  6. Smuggler by far. Reasons: 1. Seriously obviously the most ******, would you kick a sith lord in the nuts with no tricks, up close, without the force, I think not. 2. Dosn't have to flinch about the whole "no relationships" thing. I mean lets see 40 yr old virgin or break jedi code? hmmm 3. Owns own ship. 4. Coolest lines in game. 5. May I remind you of an event 3000 yr from this time? "Your all clear kid, now blow this thing and lets go home!" Sith lord loses to knight, knight has to get butt saved by regular joe, hmm lets see who is best.
  7. What ever happened to striving to be the best on your server as your class? Maybe I am just getting old but all I hear is crying nowadays about how this game should work like FPS with premade classes. They gave ppl FREE recruit gear in 1.3 and if they are too stupid to put it on what can you do but laugh when they melt like butter. We grinding literal weeks for a single piece of BM armor when the rate was less than 10% per box, dang right we should pwn some WoW punk on a 7 day trial! I have a personal rivalry against one of the best snipers I have ever seen on my server. I followed him from my origin to the destination just to hunt him and a few others. If he beats me I don't cry I lose over and over and over until I beat my enemy. Period. Guess we are just too used to living in a "lets all be mediocre" or "lets hack the game to get top spot" (talking to you FPS games) world.
  8. ^^^^^ Lets put it this way I got to ride out the game with unlimted resources with my guild beating the tar out of 7 year vets. To the wonderful folks that went to flurry and chilly, well they got what was coming when they saw real pvp. A boot the the rear from constant pvp players, no instances, and the devs laughing as some actually had the balls to ask them to go back for free. lol
  9. ^^^^^^^^^^^^past posts All I am saying is I would love to see stats, data, and actual fights instead of reading 400 posts about "OMG WHY IS PVP DEAD" The truth is most pvp'ers on every sever I have been on are expecting a fast grind and a quick "now I am awesome" moment. Fact is if we did cross server, WH "like myself" would destroy your recruit gear ppl. The recruit gear was made to give ppl a decent head start as they didn't wanna get champion or centurion. Now they are crying becuase I grind for weeks and they want to kill me in 3 seconds. Then you have the case of ranked wz. If we implement ranked you have ppl playing their own lvls and they drop. That is fact. If you don't believe me get your best wh on server to fight each other and only each other. Problem is one is going to lose and the only way they will win is if they spend hours getting an edge on other wh. They quit or get better 9-10 rage logging. And as far as the WZ go compared to WOW. Wow is a fantasy not a scifi. Gear=skill in that game worse than here, rogues pull the same thing as cloakers here (as they are the same ppl) and classes are still not balanced. I know this as I played it and remember getting my *** handed to me before I even got started multiple times. Best part is most new players are greeted by being ganked by some jack ***** lvl 90 coming out of a starter city. I would love to see some of my buddies try running one NM op. It's a difficult problem but honestly the real truth is the big problem is their #1 competition just launched its 3 month hold off game THIS WEEK, and it is the beggining of summer. Trust me, I lived through the pre-nge and post cu and nge in galaxies. This game will be fine and the best players will be the ones that stick it out and learn the system. All I'm saying.
  10. First, I would like to start off by saying that I am a WH gunslinger in pvp armor. I was a vet of SWG and spent all of my years on Radiant server until game end where there were 19 ppl on our server most rebel a few imps. Also, I am on a light server where it takes 20-30 minutes for "quick" wz this week and we have all felt D3 pain on it. Now, I would like to present the case that BIOWARE is doing JUST FINE and is doing FINE with their PVP for a 6 MONTH OLD game. 1. The game is 6 months old, wow bombed in its first 2 years along with SWG, LOTRO, and ST online. 2. This is a SW game and for content and story they have done an almost excellent job as it is what the game is meant to do, a balanced pvp project takes time to stick with consistancy in lore (I am talking to you "lets have more sparkly heals" and "lightsaber agents"). 3. Most pvp'ers like myself become extremely angry when a class is OP in year one as they fail to realize it takes time to run math and figures to keep them fair. (anyone check MW games and their wonderful abilities like shot gun runners and M16 accuracy that still isn't fixed, at least they try around here) If they slapped $&%* together you would be really pissed 4 years later after they "fixed" the problem like some games. 4. This is an MMO that means you have to DO WORK when you build your class, it isn't like hitting a button and going "De'r I now have nades and I can killz everyonez" Try not making a dual spec class and you will become the best tank, healer, and or dps, if you split you become a hybrid aka not the best at a specific thing. 5. They have not ignored pvp players, they have actually been trying in recent patches to balance them (I remember fondly the BH that could hit a single button and destroy me in 2 hits with full shields at launch) 6. This is the beginning of summer, ppl are vacationing, kids are doing exams, and college kids are working, it happens on every game. 7. The more ppl complaign about ranked wz not being fair, and then saying we want them or we quit is like trying to fill a bucket with holes. In the words of an actor "Quit cussing and go home". Otherwise post real specs on forums so they can fix op classes and legit problems instead of reading garb adn coming across one good point every century. 8. Comments like "I'm going to [insert mmo that is still in pre production phase]" is a great way to make devs listen to you, try starting with topics like "Sage just pulled 631k dam how?" and then give legitmate states with proof so the community can look at it and fix it. Finally I am not a huge dev lover here "I still have problems with the wonderful premade classes as I lvled my toon completely" but I pay my cash, play the game, and if I can't do one thing, I go to the other 50 billion things they have to do in this game. Try running a hm on an alt its actually pretty fun and when you come back guess what, chances are you have better exp in how to play your class. If you read that all congrads you are better than the average noob switching from FPS ninja tactics in raids. If not good luck in other MMO's like D3, oh wait it isn't an MMO! It's a RPG with some pvp that you have to wait 4 hours to get in after the error 37, well that is until it gets it's "supporting" community. -Peace
  11. Honestly I can't really feel sorry for these ppl leaving the game. Less queue times and more content for my guild. Most that are leaving I remember on ops, heroics, and pvp to be complete idiots as they expect a game (5 months in) to be comepletely flawless and balanced to a fine tune. Should we recall the WoW launch? Or perhaps we should look at the wonderful and perfect balance of LOTRO? Or maybe the thrilling story of STO after you hit captain? I am a WH on a pve server and a vet at running flashpoints and I still can't get all the content these guys have to offer so there is plenty to do you just have to WORK for it. The fact is in games like SWG where crafting and instance based heroics were difficult ppl quit to go play mind numbing WoW so they could make mediocre toons with mediocre builds for 100 man raids to kill 1 boss. When people came to their sense that they were not 5 anymore and fairies suck they played another game and another and another until they devolved into your average COD brain numb 10th lvl prestiege. If they truly want perfect pvp go play a FPS meanwhile let the ppl that wanted to play a star wars game in the old republic enjoy the game and not have to deal with comments like "D3" and "Runescape" is where it is at.
  12. Best way to fix this is to let them continually be OP'd, just like the BH that used tracer over and over while healing with no significant loss in heat (which still should be ammo to match their trooper mirror) until they get too comfortable using it. Then, when every class becomes irk'd at em and refuse to play pvp, they can't get in a group, or they give us gunslingers and snipers more damage to put them to pasture. But until then, taking the cloak away would seriously help <WH Gunslinger
