  1. Bioware, here's a quote you should be familiar with: "This player has been killed recently and is worth reduced realm points"... ding dong, ring any bells? If this is implemented, why would 100 imperial sit around and camp 5 republics that has a 10 minute buff awarding the killers 1 valor a kill while the buff is active, resetting every time they die. You used it in Dark Age of Camelot, /dim copy_paste as integer.

  3. OP, as someone who has gotten the Operative AND the Sorcerer to level 50, I have experienced end-game pre and post release healing content. The operative would be my choice by far. If you would like full in-depth clarity, feel free to message me.
  4. OP, if you would like to know what I expect from open world pvp, please refer to the game that has won every mmo award available in it's 11 years and counting run time. Dark Age of Camelot. This is the game that Bioware is trying to copy as far as open world pvp. Read up on the New Frontiers and the mechanics there. Bioware tried to copy this, and they failed, actually, it's the comparison of someone trying to create a game with the graphics and such of Crysis, yet coming up with something like runescape because they were that horrible at creating the game. There is a huge gap in the two, and until the gap is closed, bioware's hope of matching EA Mythics open world pvp will just look like jerry's kids trying to build a rocket. The game will go down, and fast. 287 million down the drain, imo, EA should be kicking biowares faces in right about now.
  5. It's called a "Rite of Passage", If you haven't put the time into your character which is low level, you deserve to get stomped by higher levels. It's a pecking order. If you choose to level in warzones, and participate in them, then learn to play your role. As a low level character, you should be standing on the outside of the battle, picking off people who are focused on someone else. If you are getting picked off, your too far outside your group. Defense in Numbers, if there is 4-5 people in a group, its that much less of a chance they will target you. Your role, is to assist the higher levels in their job. Number one priority for a low level is keeping the higher levels alive, whether that requires you to spec healing, or just be able to CC or knock people back, or even pew pew that extra health needed to kill them. Bioware will not be making any type of lvl 10-19, 20-29 battlegrounds until the game is well under way, a stable economy has set in, and everything has been updated, so that this "battleground" update if they so choose, will be implemented to increase the longevity of palyers subscriptions.
  6. Yes, and what's frustrating is that us players that take the time to understand the mechanics are having to take the time to explain to these idiots about it. First off, these QQ'ers need to go research the stuff for theirself instead of looking like idiots. Second, the dev's should have already pumped this information into the flow instead of allowing us players to take a battering from 10 year olds crying nerf.
  7. Let me clarify. Sorcs cannot kill any class of the same level/gear who are not licking the short bus windows or are not 10 years old. The sorc was not made to counter a single class ( example operatives were made to kill sorcs fairly easy ). Sorcs are a support class, being able to do well all the different lines, from dps to cc to heals. They are not the best at any, and they are very squishy. They were not made to win 1v1 in a similarly geared fight. Go ask the dev's on this one, I have been close to a member of the dev team for 3 years if you need substantial verification. If not, just go look it up yourself. Do some research.
  8. I agree with you. And to clarify, I completely discounted WAR, because it was such a failure that there is no way Bioware would use that system if SWTOR system was up for a major change, they would revert to what they know worked.... DAOC.
  9. I'm still looking for proof. In retrospect, i'm not looking for idiots who did not even bother to read the OP, or any of the following arguements in this thread. You don't understand your class, or the sorc. So you sir, need to go figure it out.
  10. I'm going to respectively call BS on this. There is no way to get both 300k healing and 410k damage. To get 300k healing, you have to spec 31 points healing to get the aoe which leaves you not enough for the dps aoe's. And vice versa. Sorcs are glass cannons, if you can't handle the fact that your doing 5x the damage per hit you would against a heavy armor wearer, and the fact that our shield diverts 5k damage maximum, your just bad.
  11. I agree and disagree with this. First, I agree, sorcs should not cry about operative nerfs, because operatives are supposed to kill sorcs. I'm a sorc, I realize this and treat operatives accordingly knowing they were made to smash my face. Second, Sorcs cannot kill any class in 1v1 of equal level and gear, they were designed as a support class. Third, energy consumption is already a problem in that it requires us to spec 5 points into a tree that we don't want to just to keep our force from being expended to rapidly. The shield can cover us for 1 good crit hit, and that's about it. It's actual max is 5k damage diverted, which equals about 1 tick in the fire in huttball, and we are statically charged disallowing us from benefiting from the shield ability for 20 seconds after we cast it. It is as intended, we wear cloth and have no armor, it's a line of defense.
  12. Most of the crying OP, in every game is due to people not understanding the class they are crying about. If you do not understand a class, how can you kill it. This can be applied to so many different analogies in real life, and most of the time explains why these QQ'ers play for hours on end a day on video games. Because they fail at everything else.
  13. I'm not arguing with your point, I am simply redirecting one of your points.. You stated that "This is an MMO and a gear grind is necessary to keep people playing in PvP as well as PvE". This is not true. Gear grind is divertible by a system that would relate to the Valor System. IF the Valor System would provide some type of pvp talent tree that boosted different stats, or had different skills that worked on different players, this would very efficiently sustain an MMO's pvp lust. This system has been used in various mmo's, and has nixed the necessity for World of Warcrafts renouned Tiered PVP gear and "Resilience" rating, or... expertise. This system described is essentially the same one as used in Dark Age of Camelot, the game that has won the most pvp awards to date ( by a long shot ). I played that game for 10 years, and only at the end of the 10 years did I reach the highest level of pvp... Realm Rank 13. The gearing in that game focused on people "templating" their characters to focus on not overcapping any stats, but still capping as many vital stats as possible. All this gear was attainable in PVE raiding etc. Each Realm Rank your skills hit for higher damage, and in between each realm rank there are 10 mini levels where you get "Talent Points" to spend on extra crit chance, higher crit damage, pvp abilities etc. P.S. Dark Age of Camelot is owned by Bioware, so if any change's come, expect one like the above mentioned.
  14. Let me break it down for you. I am not objective, I am not op and claim as such. I call it crying when someone points out I spam lightning for 45 seconds, I stun them 5 times in a row, I do 500k single target damage, and that I should not have any mechanics of survival while having 1/5th the armor rating everyone else has. You are now relieved from this conversation as you are obviously incapable of intelligently replying to anything relevant. In this case, I would call an "Objection your honor", as you have failed to even present a valid arguement, and your statement is infallibly flawed. That is all.
  15. It won't come, they aren't op. They are as intended. People like you must be very new to mmo's, or just very slow. Having played over 10 different mmo's, the pattern is the exact same for casters, and the nerf bat pattern will stay the same. There isn't one. Deal with it.
  16. To be honest, fantastic. He's trying to prove a point, so arguements are acceptable. I was laying out the entire cry list and explaining what it actually is rather than the rumors going around, and leaving the rest for you to speculate if you think it's OP or not. I had no arguements, I had facts.. To be honest.
  17. Thanks, I hope you reroll to WoW. That is all.
  18. If they are that much of a problem, and seem like they are spamming ( like the sorc's lightning ), do some research on them, find out what they are really spamming if anything and learn how to counter it. That's a great way to nerf the cry-nerfer's before they can cry nerf, is if they actually researched the class they are cry-nerfing about. Last sentence didn't apply to you, just putting it in there as a general piece of advise to the cry-nerfers out there.
  19. I partially agree, and the reason I chose to play a Sorc rather than the Merc which is better at burst dpsing, is because I like playing a Sorc character, rather than a Bounty Hunter. I like the lightning effects and the armor.
  20. Cute, maybe if you spent more time learning to play, and learning the class your crying about instead of finding little trooper pictures, you might not be as bad and ignorant as you are.
  21. Please read the OP. I stated the complaints, and rebuttals I offered on the ignorant posts crying nerf to the sorc. I used the operative as an example of why a sorc would cry op on the operative, yet they are not op, they are just designed to kill sorcs. For those that cried 500k club, if they were smart enough to pull their head out of their ***, they would notice the sorc that did that damage was using aoe's hitting for very little damage per target, thus doing nothing to the opposing team, high damage players are for epeen only. When a sorc is actually using the utility it is given, as dps or heal, they rarely get over 200k in either while trying to win a match rather than aoe pew pew everyone for low damage.
  22. 12k is a moderately geared sorc dps sorc focusing on willpower rather than endurance. If they are heal spec, and are decked out in force mystic champion gear which focuses on endurance, then yes you will see 15k sorcs. I'm glad you thought that was funny.
  23. I'm not real sure why you quoted something noone in this thread posted, and I'm not real sure what to say to your sarcastic post... ? O.o
  24. Once again, this is just crying instead of a rational fix being suggested about a non-op class. You people can cry all you want, but the fact is, the only change that will happen with the sorc is the aoe heal will be fixed so that it is just like the sage, which has the initial heal and then the ticks... At the moment the sorcs is broke and only has the ticks, no initial heal. This is the only change that has been brought up that will be relevant to be fixed.
