  1. Got wrecked by Republic 3 zones in a row. Annihilated us Voidstar. 6:0 in Huttball. Probably a pre-made in Hutball all high-level and they were good. Very good.
  2. Republic has been L2P a lot lately -- got steamrollered by some Smugglers. Do I think that makes them O/P. Nope. What it meant was I re-did my toolbars. Re-did my hotkeys and adapted my under tool-bar for close-quarter in general on my Merc. Am I happy about this. Yes. It helps me improve.
  3. Sweeping shot I find useful for Voidstar and Alderaan hitting enemy trying to activate the objective and it's spammable for that role.

    Expertise V Surge

How does surge stack-up against expertise (as surge effects critical chance). I've got a few surge augments and not used them but if the return was worth the effort I'd consider it with Orange Gear even if it's not perfectly 1:1 versus Expertise.
  5. I'd argue Armortech starts out as useful but becomes less so and more so towards useless at Level 50 versus PVP gear with expertise.
  6. Yeah. It definately works against a number of abilities and it does interrupt my LOS on some skills as I got hammered with the not-facing target while trying to unleash a number of abilities -- I guess the auto-face doesn't lock when you're channeling. I had to move backwards and use my mobile shots.
  7. BH does AOE Damage. Plain and simple. If you nerf their AOE you need to up their 1 v 1. Honestly. I have seen calls to nerf every class....
  8. 1) SWG 2) EVE 3) .... Nothing has held my attention since. SWG Pre-CU was the most compelling MMORPG I ever played with a solid community behind it.
  9. Fair play to that. I always liked the view let people play their own game when it comes well -- any type of video game.
  10. The line about Lightside Jedi looking like Homeless People was "Classic". Get's my BWAHAHAHA vote for the day!
  11. Eh. Say Wah? I work in this thing called 'real life' conflict zones abating civil wars among other things preventing civilian death by preventing situational deterioration towards war. And here. I play 'Darkside' because it's not real life and the story choices are somehow more engaging as the anti-hero -- SWTOR is challenging in that regard. I don't need to feel like the 'good guy' in a frigging video game. Through the game choices I've built up a sense of my character and sometimes if the story feels right I take some hits to the 'Lightside' because it feels in context of the character I've built up. I always thought Boba Fett and Darth Vader were much cooler than Luke Skywalker. Empire was the best of the original trilogy and so on. It doesn't mean I aspire to be a Dictator...
  12. Good melee crushes my BH. Good melee crushes my Sniper. I can't move and shoot. Kind of makes it hard for ranged to kite. I've got several alts and find them in general pretty balanced and so far they all tend to peak at odd times but am told level out at 50.
  13. That Samurai outfit is the worst thing to happen to Star Wars since the Caravan of Courage.
  14. If you accept this logic the reverse is equally true and therefore the request to remove them is redundant.
  15. Yeah. Am all for companions in OPVP. I know Mako's Gameplay well enough to know what she'll do. And she doesn't whine about the odds.
  16. Not sure what a kill mail is... I used to love hate tells on SWG. I did get hate mail from an NPC in SWTOR... not quite the same. Not even not quite. Weird actually.
  17. I found quite a large Rebel Outpost -- walled city near the Geonosian Complex. I also got within a few seconds of finishing unlocking the quick travel at the base near the Sandcrawler. Sooo close. I could actually activate it before the Elites ate me. I've heard about the fatigue thing -- haven't tried for it yet. Tatooine is a massive planet -- it's stunning actually. Would be awesome for OPVP... Except for the instance caps of 120 people... I've not seen Tatooine over 60 yet.
  18. I'm thinking of looking at Pyro for dots which help in WZs as the enemy can't take objectives while taking damage.
  19. I enjoy my Merc but if I could do it again -- I'd go PT. No doubt. It's tough at L10 to make a career choice without much experience with what the class offers. I'm ranged but I can't kite easily as a Merc. I guess in Wow-Speak this is a 'caster' -- 'root' and 'nuke'. I just don't have it in me to re-roll another BH to vary an AC. Most fights go close quarter fairly quickly and I find things like flamethrower become useful at this point. It's like martial arts -- all fights go to the ground and if you can't control the ground you lose. I've gone hybrid for survivability and versatility. Arsenal and Bodyguard. Though I may respec towards Pyro for some more mobility -- I read that incendiary missile and thermal detonator allow mobility. I've taken Biotech which may free-up the need for Bodyguard but the healing in the field helps a lot as Mako tends to pick a lot of unnecessary fights and I end-up letting her tank quite often =) Better her than me right. DOTs also work well in warzones. I consider myself more of an OPVP'er but there's no OPVP really to speak of in SWTOR at this stage.
  20. I like the idea of the crafting system. 'Biotech' is great from a leveling and end-game view. That crafting becomes redundant at 50 is what concerned me. That Orange kit is redundant at 50 and a player has a thin and rather ugly selection of PVP armour is disappointing. I dropped Cybertech on my char and gave them Biotech. I enjoyed Armortech for levelling but will drop it soon as I don't see the point in grinding to 400 when 'loot' and 'commendations' provide better kit and that I can't compete without the expertise stat.
  21. I read the thread about high-level systems grinding down -- as a structural instanced with 120 people. There's very little MMO about 120 people. This is a single player game that you can invite a few friends along too. From end-to-end it's designed as such (crafting / pve / pvp / social interaction).
  22. 120 people. Is there a confirmation on this. I've seen fleet at 190. But I don't think I've ever seen Drommund Kass over 120. Tatooine lucky to see over 30... Might also explain why when I put in friend names that I know exist it tells me friend does not exist.
