  1. Personally I love the idea of Felucia, because when I have seen it done, its very Alien and cool. Having said that I throw my weight behind Kassykk, Dantooine or Ryloth.
  2. Blizzard can't do this, not with transfers on their MMO. Believe me, I have transferred so many times in the past, and had to change my names so often, I know this to be fact!
  3. I don't know how you guys can't know what was going to happen! As I said above I was not interested in these transfers, but I knew most of this. I didn't know specific servers to up first, but I did know it was going to be staggered, and I knew it was happening tonight. They have talked at length about this stuff, just not in the general forums. They have made news posts, announcements, had community meting and all sorts of things! I saw most of these, I followed just a little, yet you blame them for not letting you know!? This is they did. The problem is you are not happy with the speed and that you aren't first in line! They give good information and they roll stuff out in a timely manner. Stop complaining! Sometimes I just feel someone in the community needs to voice the other side of these demented arguments.
  4. I made this thread. It was called "Server transfers are a staggered affair" It said this"This is for all those complaining and going off the deep end. I was not interested in transfers, and I apparently knew more then those that were. *Shakes head in dismay." It was locked, but I wanted to make a point.
  5. Hmm, don't think I have anyone outside Australia that I know, really.
  6. Can you tell me how please? I tried to get it from Amazon about 2 to 3 weeks ago, and they would not ship it here, at all! I couldn't even get Amazon themselves to ship it to me. I could see the games and every time I tried to get it shipped to me, it just said I was not able to get it shipped to my country?? I tried for hours to find one that would, but no luck. Really I just want to be able to get them in some form, so I can get cool stuff and get some security and access the vendors. Its kinda like "Shut up and take my money!!!!"
  7. It's what a lot of people wanted, so they brought it to us, also helps with gearing companions. Say Vette. I want to put her in the Hoth gear, well this enables me to make it medium armour and have her wear what she should be, or the Imperial soldier outfit for Pierce and so on. I personally welcome the idea.
  8. Ok, so I see that 1.3 is well underway as is adaptive social gear. This is great! But I feel as though I again need to ask someone at Bioware, are we in Australia/Asian region ever going to see a physical security key or be given the chance to buy a collector's edition or at least a code to allow us access to the content on those stores, and just being able to have a) Security, and b) Some cool extra stuff I would personally love (and I'm sure I'm not alone there). I really want "Some" form of answer. An Eta would be great. Originally I loved the idea of getting stuff if you bought the collector's edition and got a security key, but over here, as far as I can tell no on can access the Collector's edition vendor, cause we never got any access to that at all, so it's kinda a wasted vendor. And when it comes to the security key, well I have heard nothing but horror stories about the App version, especially for android, but Iphone too, and I have tried to get the android one regardless, but can't cause "its not available in my country?" I have brought this issue up, but I don't think people understand when I talk about it. Anyway, in short, please, please, please can we have the physical security key and some version of the Collector's edition made available here? I am sure people here would pay a small amount for the code to access the vendor even. Thanks for the great game and the great plans, love it, and love playing it!
  9. This is wrong, they released a news story about how they calculate population and taking the free subscribers and people in their first month were among those they DO NOT count. And no I am not posting the article again, it would be redundant as its on these forums somewhere, use the search. For some reason everyone who post stuff on these forums seem to post absolutes, like they work for Bioware or are hiding out in their offices, well that's not the case. Those people are making a guess at best, and yes they try to back it up with so called 'news' articles they find on the internet, some of which could be legit, most seem just as dodgy as they claims being made about them. Thanks.
  10. I am all for Cathar, hope there are more incoming also. Really want to play Torgruta, or Nautilan or Mon Cal's! (Narlock rocks!). And there are so many more, I would love to see! Keep up the great work Bioware!
  11. With patch 1.2.6 where they conversation stuff was fixed, like the UI disappearing before a conversation starts, it appears as the nameplates of your party members and the numbers they roll during the conversation have somehow turned off? I was wondering if this was intentional, or if it is some form of little bug or unexpected side effect. If its meant to be that way cool, but I was wondering if we could have a way to turn it back on, me and my friend level quite a bit together and we like using it, so if we could get it back that would be swell.
  12. I do and its awesome! All of them. People like to 'go on' about how they space bar through everything all the time, but well they just apparently don't care about their character they made. If you can't see that the decisions you make in those cut scenes you like to hammer through mean something, and you can't get lost in playing your character that way, maybe no game will ever be good enough for you anymore and you should go play Madden or something, or WoW where that doesn't matter. I used to try and read the quest text in WoW, cause I cared about the story, Blizzard ended up not, but I did. I like to see what my new character will say in certain circumstances, it adds to the 'feel' I have for the character I am playing. So far I am immensely enjoying every class I have played both story lines and the basic quests, cause you know, you make choices there too.
  13. Force choke is also a DoT. And in the tanking tree can be applied instantly without you having to channel it. Now to my experience. I have leveled as a Marauder with Vette and she does exceptional damage, I have kept her up to date, and she piles damage out of herself onto mine enemies! She is great. But I can see arguments for many different ways of playing and using different companions based on what you wanna do. I use Kira for my Jedi Knight, who is a tank. I use Kira as my damage machine kinda like I do with Vette. But I can see many ways to go. You can be a tank with a healer and whittle your way through fights, if that's your play style, cool! You can go dps with healer, to be all damaging and have a little heal to help you get through. You can play a healer and heal your tank companion through the fights, slower again, but definitely doable. You can be like me and go two dps, and try to get them down quick, and get through them by killing them faster. You can be a dps and have a tank companion hold your aggro, and bring them down like that. There are a few more, but you get the idea. Nothing is just "do it this way and only this way" there are many possibilities. Well that's how I play anyway. Hope some of this helps.
  14. OP there is another option, one they went with at the start of SWG. No Jedi at all. What you want them to be means that they would never have been playable in any sense. Also whenever one showed up in game it would instant kill your Agent, Bounty hunter or Smuggler and run off into the night. Sound like a fun game? Not to me.
  15. I feel I have to say this type of thing to at least one person who posts like this. Because you know the intricate workings of Bioware, EA and you know, for fact, how they work, what they do and how they choose to advertise, and what they choose to tell the press? You know this all for a fact? Why? Cause you have some mystical knowledge of what goes on in their boardrooms, you have an insider who tells you nothing but fact? You are there in their offices now hiding in the broom closet? I don't think you have any of that. Personally I believe people who spout off this type of stuff are pretty much making it up. You have no fact and no proof to back up these claims, so they end up just being your opinion, and you choose to be negative. Just sayin.
  16. So another "Same old snide, whinging, mocking' thread. Ok then. Thanks for that. I just gotta ask did any of you actually 'read' that link or just gloss through it, come to your same old tired conclusions and then post mocking and abusive crap? I am thinking the latter.
  17. How many times do they have to say "Coming in 1.3" before you actually listen? It's an MMO problems are not fixed overnight, its not shampoo!
  18. Not that you're negative about it or anything. I always love how people come on and say things like this: "BW canned a ton of people. They want to put a positive "spin" on it so they are calling it a "restructuring" instead because it sounds better." because you know the inner workings of a major gaming company you have never interacted with other then to pay them for a game. I can say, as an example, that I have worked for very large companies and sometimes a restructure is just that, a restructure. They do it. Companies do that kind of thing. So many people claim they 'know' about the inner workings of something when really they just made it up or are just putting their opinion on to it, but they want to make it sound more "truthful' so they say it as a fact, when they have little to know proof. And no I don't accept some random internet site as proof, it's like trying to use a wiki as proof, it isn't because it was written by some guy somewhere, and many, many times I have thought they were right only to find that they weren't.
  19. I love this game. That said I hope they don't feel they 'need' to be a WoW clone and just do all those things that took WoW from being a fun, sometimes challenging game with a fairly decent community, to what it is today. Where it's a grindy repeat-fest, usually ridiculously hard until they 'fix' it then it just adds to the ridiculous grindy repeat-fest, and the community is just atrocious, which I personally blame cross server LFG for. It's a marked moment in my mind. I think this game has its own unique-ness, flavour and direction. The community is for the most part good and fun and helpful, although coming to these forums sometimes makes you wonder. The stories, oh the stories are so good, every one so far I have just loved. So there's my two cents. My opinion as it were. Hope you all continue to play and have fun, that is how they know its a success.
  20. Well then I raise you this. WoW had a fairly decent community prior to the launch of the Looking for Dungeon tool. But unlike Eve where the whole aim of the game is to go out and steal stuff (say the territory and that you mentioned) WoW had and Swtor has communities that support and help one another from time to time. And there are voice options specifically for when you are grouped! To me it sounds like stuff is there, you just want something that the few want and you are trying to shout the loudest to attempt to get what you want. I have found there is a community here if you look, and for the most part they are cool, good, fun people to be around. But I say again, you are asking for RP elements. There are RP servers, go play on them, and I am not saying what you are after is wrong. But maybe, just maybe if you got enough people on an RP server and all wanted specific things and there was a sizable amount of you, then maybe something could happen, but I will not sit by and watch as noisy, loud people rant and rave about things 'we all' want in the game. I have no problem with things like what is being asked for coming to the game. Say if housing or whatever came in I would be ok with it, provided I wasn't forced to do it, like I personally get the whole 'farm' thing in WoW will be. But I don't want the game as I love it to suffer as a result. Thanks for reading.
  21. I have to say I disagree with the OP here. I have been leveling many characters with my housemate and it makes a very different 'planet' story. Sure your class story missions are for you and they play out how you decide, but the meta plot for a planet, very different solo compared to teamed. Also I can't help but think that you are a very RP heavy player, your examples say to me you like to stand around in an in game bar and RP with other like minded people, and that is great! But saying that its community mismanagement that has made it so you can't do that is wrong. If you want that so much find the RP server with the biggest number of players and make friends and have bars and parties and all that, go for it. Have fun and be happy. But saying that they don't care or any of that is wrong, just plain wrong. I would join your party for a little while, but standing around in an in game bar is not my idea of fun, I would prefer running around saving the galaxy with, as you put it, THE jedi knight. And that is only when not teamed. When you are teamed you are THE jedi knight with THE smuggler, and together you are awesome! Just saying. My 2 cents.
  22. I agree with this sentiment and that of the developers on this topic. If there is no social graces enforced, then rude and obnoxious trolls is all that like 80% of people will be. The proof is in the pudding so to speak. I agree look what happened to the Wow community, it just went from some bad and most ok to mostly bad. So if we can get away without having one I am for that.
